Kailen sighed inwardly.

He conjured a shadow knife.

Then he turned to look at Xandros.

" You said you don’t regret anything you’ve done right?"

He held Xandros’ right hand.

He held one of Xandros’ fingers.

Then, he started using the knife to pluck it out of Xandros’ hands.

" Arrrrrrrrgghhhhhhhhh"

Kailen remained expressionless as he performed the deed.

" Honestly I don’t care. All I know is that you took my family away from me. And your actions, almost cost me the life of this wonderful woman" Kailen turned to look at Arrie " Because she was also a victim of one of the beast tides you insurged"

"I don’t frankly care about you killing a man who killed your wife and kids" Kailen carved three more fingers out.

" Aerrrrrrgghhhh" Xandros was screaming so much that hehad lost his voice. The screams were not coming anymore.

"I don’t even care about you destroying this world . All I care about is you also hurt people close to me.

Me doing this to you is not because you wanted destroy the world"

Arkon kept on screaming and screaming as blood was oozing from his fingers.

Kailen was working slowly, cold, calm, expressionless.

He continued talking.

"But because your actions took my family away from me"

Arkon, despite the pain he was experiencing, was currently laughing.

"You are just like me"

Arkon said, in realisation.

Kailen sighed, then shook his head " Wrong. I’m worser than you. Only that Im only that way to those who cross me. Honestly I don’t care about how you see me"

Kailen had finished with Xandros’ hands.

The man’s fingernails had all been plucked out.

Arkon was not speaking anymore.

He had screamed so much that he had lost his voice.

Also he had lost a lot of blood. Arkon’s blood had spotted the frozen field.

Arrie stood by the side watching the scene with a cold expression. She was even bubly right now.

In fact the whole federation was silent.

They were watching everything that was happening via satellites.

Kailen Darkhaven was really ruthless.

However they didn’t care about his motive for saving the world, or destroying Xandros.

All they cared about was that he had saved them.

Whether or not he had done it out of selfish motives or not, didn’t matter to the Federation.

Darkhaven had become their hero.

One thing nonetheless ,was certain. From his words, everyone with a brain could deduce that if they crossed him, he wouldn’t think twice about securing his loved ones and turning on the planet.

They had to thread carefully, because they needed this man.

His next words confirmed this further .

Kailen continued " I’m no hero. If a world offends me, I’ll destroy the world. If a sect leader offends me I’ll destroy not just the sect leader, but the sect. I will make sure to repay those who offend me not just equally, but tenfold. That is my definition of an eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth"

Kailen proceeded to the man’s legs.

He repeated the same act. Arkon Xandros had a lifeless expression by the time Kailen was done.

Kailen had broken the man.

The Federation Law Enforcement Agency watching the feed had even decided to use this method of torturing criminals from now on.

Kailen sighed " So much for torture "

What was the point of torturing this guy further.

He was literally a walking corpse.

" He will still feel the pain" Arrie voiced from the side,equally angry. The man may have become weak so much that he couldn’t speak, but his pain receptors were still functioning.

Kailen nodded.

She was right.

His hands fell on Xandros’ eyes.

Then lightning sizzled...

The lightning tore through his eyes.

Arkon muttered slowly " Please, just kill me. Why are you enjoying this so much ?"

Aron’s eyes had been destroyed.

Kailen replied coldly as he squatted before Arkon.

" Compared to the pain I feel in my heart, what you feel right now cannot compare"

He chuckled melancholically, then proceeded

"You think I’m enjoying this? I’m neither feeling bad about it, neither am I enjoying it. I only see this as a necessity. A natural end to all those who will attempt to harm me or those I care about"

The young man finally intensified the lightning.

Arkon’s unawakened form could not tolerate it even for a few seconds before he tethered into oblivion .

Not even his ashes remained.

This event would go on to resound in the history books of the United Federation in Years to come.

In the summer of year 2276 ,Arkon Xandros, renowned federation researcher turned Terrorist, had been brutally killed by His Excellency Kailen Darkhaven on icy plane in the Sia Continent.

Grandmaster Darkhaven cut off his fingers and toes brutally, incinerated his eyes, and had used lightning to incinerate him into nothings.

Not only that, the Global Level Guardian Awakener had ended the war with the diabolic beasts in less than 24 hours.

He had battled and killed thousands of Global Level Terrors on the Urna sea without breaking a sweat.

With creatures he could summon, he had singlehandedly put an end to the war by letting them plunder the continents of any diabolic beasts they came across.

Kailen however at this moment ,sat down on the ground.

He actually sat in Arkon’s blood without even realizing it.

He felt a weight lift off his shoulders.

" To think Avarice would kill the Coiling Terror . How anticlimactic . I had wanted to kill it myself. Bastard tossed the flute and the flute killed the Terror . What an anticlimactic turn of events " He chuckled lightly.

Arrie sat behind him.

The young lady held his face. She muttered concerned .

" How do you feel?"

Kailen remained silent for a few seconds , then sighed " I don’t feel any different for the loss of my parents. This is not a novel where revenge will make you feel good and take away the pain of losing your loved ones"

He sighed " However I know they can rest in peace now. In a way, I’ve avenged them. Just that living with the feeling of their loss, is something I’ll have get used to . Don’t get me wrong, I’ve moved on. But moving on doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt , or I won’t miss them. I still have to kill that uncle of mine one day though. They made it clear they didn’t want me to pursue revenge . However I’ll have to dishonor them on this one "

Arrie hugged him" I’m here for you Kai. We will get through this together. And I’m sure they’d be proud of you for what you’ve done. You have also avenged many others apart from them"

" I don’t care about the others "

Kailen replied.

" I know you don’t. You did whatever you did for yourself and those you love. However the world has benefited "

Kailen sighed " You should have gone to law school"

Arrie chuckled .

The couple shared a kiss. After the kiss, Kailen stood up, looking towards a particular direction, the sky.

" Kill the captured members of the syndicate " Kailen sent a thought transition to his shadow creatures.

He had decided to deal with them himself but he didn’t see the point anymore. Earth would be invaded in 5 days time. Kailen had to make preparations. Each second counted.

It was better to have the shadow creatures deal with them.

Suddenly,

The planet started shaking. Kailen felt vibrations all over .

" Looks like earth is about to evolve to the ascendant level . The evolution will begin tomorrow. You and the others should visit Xandros’ base as soon as possible . When the evolution begins, the base might get destroyed "

Kailen sighed at the words of the Time Dilation Artifact.

" Always a dramatic ride. First an invasion and now an evolution of the planet. This won’t be bad. I could make use of this. I have an idea"
