As for Charles ,Reynolds and Jane, they were still recovering from the shock of the evidence Arkon had gathered concerning Jane’s late husband.

Not only had he resorted to raping and killing women , he had also been involved in human trafficking on the black market.

Jane felt so shocked ,so flabbergasted that she was sitting still without even uttering a word.

The shock she was experiencing was so severe that her brain was finding it extremely difficult to process the news.

Her son and brother, though not faring too well themselves ,were holding it in.

At least,they were attempting to put on a stronger front for her.

Charles held her mother’s hand, as tears almost fell from his eyes.

His girlfriend ,Phoebe handed him a tissue with which he thanked her and wiped the slight tear from his eyes. Phoebe she stood by his side with a sad and worried expression.

" I can’t even begin to imagine what he’s going through right now" She sighed.

Charles was honestly not doing well.

Despite not meeting the man who was responsible for his existence, he had heard his mum tell him so much about him.

One of the things he had grown up learning about his dad was how gentlemanly and charitable the man was. His father even had large charity organizations that was dedicated to helping orphans.

From the news they had just learnt,it turned out some of these orphans were used for human trafficking by his father when he was alive.

The man was an extremely terrible human being.

" To think all those things about him were a lie, a cover up for the beast he really was. I grew up admiring a man I never knew, wondering how it would have felt like having him around. Only for me to find out this is the person he was?"

Charles could not remain calm anymore. Everyone stared at him with sadness as he finally broke down into tears.He was human after all.

Reynolds pulled Charles and his crying mother in for a deep hug ,not being able to hold in his tears anymore. He had been one of the people who had greatly admired his brother in law when he was alive. After he, and Jane’s father died, Reynolds’ brother in law helped him through some really tough times.

The man they had found out about today and the one he knew were two different persons if he were to compare them. However,the truth about everything had been discovered today and there was no denying anything.

Jane’s wish now was that her husband’s crimes,although he was dead and gone,were to be made public. If Xandros deserved to be shamed and publicized as a villain, then the hyprocryte she had married was to be no exception.

Reynolds sighed deeply after thinking about all this.

He finally mused inwardly.

’Revealing this news is really gonna drag the family’s name in the mud for a while. However , I agree with Jane,it’s the right thing to do’

" I’m as shocked as you are, and you have every reason to be hurt,dissapointed, shaken and broken. I will not tell you two some crap about being strong and what not. The only thing I can say is that we will get through this time together as a family"

At this point ,Kailen and everyone else who had given them a moment of privacy whiles staring at them with concern drew closer to them.

The group had gathered around the family of three, placing a hand on their shoulders to comfort them.

" We are all here for you" Kim broke the silence to which everyone nodded.

Charles stared at them with gratitude as he voiced " Thanks guys.. unff unff .. means a lot to us"

The group nodded with warmth.

Arrie said " What are friends for?".

" About that, releasing it won’t cause that much of a ripple. The reason why I insisted we visit Xandros’ base early is because the vibrations the planet is experiencing is something akin to an evolution that will occur a few hours from now" Before everyone has the opportunity to react, Kailen gestured towards Helena who continued from where he had left off .

" The planet will experience an evolution again. One that will further cause more diabolic beasts to appear, and the ones already alive to become further stronger. There’s no time to explain now, however Kailen came up with an idea I agree with. When he was fighting Arkon Xandros, it was obvious that Xandros had advanced in leaps and bounds with his research. Kailen theorised from how the diabolic beasts obeyed Xandros that, Xandros was able to not just influence the diabolic beasts to cause beast tides. He had literally gained control over them. If he told them to sit, they’d sit, and if he told them to stand,they’d stand"

Phoebe,being a research oriented person and knowing where the conversation was headed, alongside Arrie voiced.

"Are you saying that we can manage to use the research details of Xandros to achieve results that can help us control diabolic beasts like he did?"

Everyone stared at Helena in awe.

She turned to look at Kailen "He suggested this . Although I had been thinking of it too"

Kailen chuckled slightly ,then continued "My theory about Xandros’ breakthrough was confirmed when we found the details of his research.

According to Helena who went through the details ,as she worked with Xandros in the past, it’s all true. Xandros literally fused his terror inducing device with his heart and that of his syndicate members"

Everyone showed different reactions.

Helena continued "These terror inducing devices however do not just generate frequencies that can influence diabolic beasts to cause beast tides , they can contro-"

Uttering slight chuckles at the old man’s words, everyone apologized to Helena who then continued " Exactly as you’ve deduced.

" Couldn’t they have just used these devices without fusing them with their hearts?"

Phoebe asked.

" They could,but they didn’t.

One thing to also note is there is a downside to fusing these devices with their hearts, the individual would die after 72 hours .The devices are not meant to be compatible with humans for a long time after all"

Helena replied.

Kim asked " Does this mean even if Kailen had not killed the guys from the Syndicate ,they would have died after 72 hours?"

" Exactly. My guess is Xandros wanted to kill himself with the members of the syndicate after causing mayhem. So he literally didn’t tell them about this part of the plan" Kailen replied.

Helena nodded " We don’t intend to use the same method though to control diabolic beasts. We can just use the devices to control diabolic beasts without risking the lives of people.

Luckily, we found a lot of terror inducing devices at Xandros’ base we can use for the time being.

Very soon, with the knowledge of Xandros’ research, we can create more ,and use them to make diabolic beasts behave subdued. It is a simple method I’ll discuss with the researchers of the federation right when we get back.

In fact , if they even try to cause beast tides ,we can use them to repel them,and even control them.

This will revolutionialise the federation. Diabolic beasts will no longer be a threat to the world!.
