"Ouch, little lady, that was mean " Charles feigned , focused on the group staring at Angela.

Kailen and the group ignored Angela and the man she was talking to, focusing once more on Charles.

" Let me be frank with you Kailen, I like commotion and adventure, and you are someone who l think is literally a walking calamity magnet , no offense "

Kailen shook his head. This guy was being honest with no evil intentions " Non taken"

" How about we start off as aquaintances . Besides, uncle has been saying so much about you that I’m left with no other choice but to admire you " Charles added . Kailen knew the guy was being honest thanks to the Detective Gimmicks skill. His intentions too wer genuine. He genuinely admired Kailen.

" Your uncle?" Kailen asked . Where the hell did he know this guy’s uncle from?

" Oh, yeah. Xu Reynolds is my uncle. Has been keeping an eye on you for a while. Sure you’ll get to meet him very soon"

Charles’ words caused Kailen’s eyes to widen slightly, regaining their calm the next second. The guy was telling the truth again.

" I see" Kailen bobbed his head.

Charles nodded " See you around Kailen"

He didn’t want to force a friendship on the young man. People like Kailen were definitely not people in whose circles you could just barge . He had to take his time.

However he turned around the next second , walking back to the group " Oh I have a confession to make"

Kailen and the eyes of the group widened "Dude I don’t swing that way"

Kailen blurted.

Charles shook his head " Damn it man ,I didn’t mean it like that. I just wanted to tell you that I was on my way to visit you when I saw your altercation with the guys from the Ngonzola family. Almost had me killed"

" You were there on that day?" Micheal probed, the group waiting for his response.

" Yeah, I was there, for a while, till I wasn’t " Charles replied as he loosened his tie a bit " This thing is killing me"

Kailen probed " You’re Mrallknowing aren’t you?"

" Well it seems the cat is out of the bag?"

Charles nodded in agreement, chuckling in the process.

" The streamer making dozens of money by posting your videos?" Micheal probed

" He’s the one that posted the videos of you at the lecture hall right? Even the potion challenge between you and that Huge Ass guy " Phila added.

" Yeah he’s the one. Looks like you have been making quite the amount of money from Kailen haven’t you?" Arrie’s eyes beamed as she spoke "Care to give us our share?"

" Like I said I’m a sucker for people who cause commotions so it’s normal I take an interest in Kailen, again I don’t swing that way" His eyes narrowed as he clarified, clearing his throat after mentioning taking interest in Kailen ,only for it to narrow further " Wait, you want your share of the earnings from the videos ,seriously?"

" Do you have a problem with that? " Kailen asked.

" I don’t . It’s just money made out of streaming" He voiced honestly.

Quickly he transferred half of the earnings of the video to Arrie’s account number.

"See you around Kailen" He turned around and left , pacing towards Butler Lee, seated on a couch with a rarely seen melancholic expression on his face .

" it’s obvious you guys have history right, Lee?"

Butler Lee’s eyes turned soft, full of complicated memories as he sighed " That was a long time ago young sir "

Noticing that Lee didn’t want to press forward on the matter , he switched the conversation " Say, is she as ruthless as mum made her out to be?’’

Lee chuckled slightly "Young sir, after what you saw her do today, do you have to ask?"

Charles scratched his cheek , yawned slightly and layered " Fair point. Popping S ranked awakeners by just waving her hands around. Heard from mum that during one mission they took, Angela actually killed her way through a district full of deranged awakeners engaged in human trafficking. The Special Ops department was extremely angry that she had murdered those guys instead of bringing them in . One senior officer tried to make things difficult for her , only to cause her anger to flare . The senior officer ended up dead on the spot because he had called her an overbearing and murderous woman"

Lee chuckled , well acquainted with that memory, he was a former member of the special ops department after all. He had been the one to calm Angela down, else something worser would have happened.

" Angela is a no nonsense person. It’s pretty much the reason why she probably gets along well with Kailen ,someone who is young enough to be her son. Speaking of Kailen, how did it go young master?" Lee probed curiously.

"Managed to strike a conversation. However , nothing more than that . But it’s progress ,for a commotion causer like him, it’s worth it. But I gotta say, that guy sure is mysterious. Anyway , say, how old is Helena Hall?" His gaze lingered on Helena Hall for a few seconds, her hands tucked in between Donalds’ as they giggled and exchanged words with others.

" Oh, she’s from the older generation . Helena, Donalds ,Tribiani, amongst a few others are from the older generation " Lee responded .

" Older generation?"

" Yeah, these guys are probably hitting 80-100 years" Lee revealed

" The hell?. How the hell do they look so young?"

" Beautification potions I guess" Lee added, eliciting a nod from Charles .

Lee furthered " The rest of us can be considered from the younger generation. And you , Kailen and co, are probably fresh blood " He chuckled .

Charles was about to report to being referred to as fresh blood, when the music tone in the hall dwindle down as a soft mellow tune played, when family of four descended from the stairs.

" Looks like the show is about to start"

" Oh, my brother has told me so much about you, young man " Jane greeted Kailen wth a smile.

" Your brother, ma’am?" Kailen asked, curious.

" Charles is my son, and Xu Reynolds is my brother, the federation president" Jane revealed, as Kailen nodded in understanding.

" How come this Xu Reynolds is this interested in me? Even her son mentioned the same thing"

Just when Jane was about to speak further, a family of four descended from the stairs, causing her gaze to longer on them as she winked to a particular person, Angela, illiciting a smirk tinged with a slight annoyance from Angela.

The main events of the banquet were about to begin.

As for Kailen, it was time for him to find out,whether or not Angela’s brother was a spy for the Terror Surge Syndicate.
