The Beautiful CEO's Dragon Blood Bodyguard-Chapter 40 - 00 A Token of Love
40: Chapter 0040 A Token of Love
40 -0040 A Token of Love
Soon after, Long Fei finished all the food on the two plates.
Just as he was about to go get some more food, a young man dressed in a suit and leather shoes came over and stopped him.
“Buddy, let’s sit down and have a chat!”
“Who are you?”
Long Fei sat back down and sized up the young man.
Wang Xiaoya looked at him and called out, “Tian Yuan!”
The young man turned around, only then noticing Wang Xiaoya, his face suddenly showing a bit of panic as he said, “Little Ya, what are you doing here?”
Wang Xiaoya laughed and said, “Nonsense, of course I’m here to eat!”
“Right, right, what was I even asking!”
Tian Yuan smacked his forehead and said apologetically, “Little Ya, go ahead and eat first, I need to talk to this brother for a moment!”
Wang Xiaoya asked, “Do you two know each other?”
Tian Yuan shook his head.
“No, we don’t.”
Wang Xiaoya said with a smile, “Then let me introduce you two!”
She turned to Long Fei and said, “Long Fei, this is my college classmate, Tian Yuan, now the manager of the canteen department.
He’s also from our county in Binhai!”
“Hello!”
Long Fei reached out his hand to Tian Yuan.
Wang Xiaoya introduced Long Fei to Tian Yuan, making Tian Yuan somewhat embarrassed.
He quickly shook hands with Long Fei and said, “Nice to meet you, nice to meet you, turns out we’re fellow townspeople!”
Long Fei asked him, “Did you need me for something?”
Tian Yuan shook his head.
“No, no, it’s nothing.
We’re from the same hometown, no issues whatsoever!”
Wang Xiaoya’s eyes shone as she chuckled and said, “You cheapskate, I’ve already guessed it.
You probably came over to talk to him because you think Long Fei ate too much, right?”
Tian Yuan’s face turned red as he quickly said, “I’m sorry, I really didn’t know Brother Long Fei was a fellow townsman.
If I had known earlier, I would have given him an extra spoonful!”
Long Fei gave a wry smile, realizing after all this fuss that it was his hearty appetite that had drawn attention.
He said apologetically, “Tian Yuan, I’m really sorry.
If it makes things difficult for you, I can just eat two plates from now on, I definitely won’t eat more!”
Tian Yuan waved his hands repeatedly, trying to look good in front of Wang Xiaoya.
“No need for that, please don’t do this.
You’re a friend of Little Ya and my fellow townsman, how could I be petty about this.
Eat as much as you want, we have no limit here!”
“Thank you then!”
Long Fei smiled, thinking this young man seemed quite nice, and he could make a friend out of him.
Tian Yuan made an excuse about having something to do, waved to Wang Xiaoya, and stood up to leave.
Long Fei could guess from his look that he must be interested in Wang Xiaoya.
Because, that’s how he looked when he faced Lin Yingying.
Wang Xiaoya, blissfully unaware, held her stomach and laughed non-stop, only teasing him.
“I bet every time you come here from now on, Tian Yuan’s heart will skip a beat!”
“Really?”
Long Fei chuckled and teased her back, “I think Tian Yuan’s heart only skips a beat when he sees you!”
“What do you mean?”
Wang Xiaoya was stunned for a moment, then after realizing what he meant, her face turned red and she yelled at him coyly, “How could you, I’m not talking to you anymore!”
She stood up, put the tray back, and left shyly.
Watching her charming figure, Long Fei suddenly felt that Wang Xiaoya was quite nice, definitely gentler than Lin Yingying.
Unfortunately, he had already lost himself and must take responsibility for Lin Yingying.
After finishing the food on his tray, he went to the front and, as usual, got two trays filled with meat dishes.
With Tian Yuan looking out for him, the server’s attitude changed completely, diligently giving him as much as he wanted.
As he was about to leave with his food, Tian Yuan came by and awkwardly asked, “Brother Long Fei, you and Little Ya are quite close, huh?”
Long Fei replied, “Not really, I just got to know her when I joined the company!”
Tian Yuan said, “She’s still more familiar with you.
I can’t even speak when I see her.
I’ll have to call on Long Fei for help with her in the future!”
Long Fei laughed, “Are you thinking of pursuing her?”
“Kind of!”
Tian Yuan was a bit embarrassed.
Long Fei said, “What’s there to be shy about?
If you like her, just tell her!
A man has to take the initiative!”
There he was, playing the mentor, yet when it came to Lin Yingying, he was just as timid.
Tian Yuan, scratching his head, said, “I daren’t.
I’m afraid if I say something, she’ll reject me, and that would be so embarrassing.”
“Understandable, understandable!”
Long Fei, carrying his plate, patted his shoulder and assured him, “Facilitating a good deed is a must.
From now on, whatever you want to say, whatever you want to do, I’ll help you!”
Moved, Tian Yuan shouted repeatedly, “Good brother, I felt a connection with you the first time I saw you.
I’ll treat you to a drink someday!”
Long Fei chuckled dryly and quickly found a spot to tuck into his meal.
This was really taking advantage of other people’s kindness, and eating their food makes it hard to refuse them.
Eating more here now only meant selling out Wang Xiaoya.
Having finished his meal, he felt his stomach applauding as all the air seemed to gather in that hard core area of his lower abdomen.
Long Fei didn’t know why, but it felt like the hard core could move, sucking in all the swollen gasses.
He planned to take some time off to systematically learn from his new master and get the matter clarified with the old man.
All afternoon, he stood at the door like a statue.
His posture perfect, his spine straight, he didn’t move an inch.
Compared to him, the hoops were like a bunch of pretenders.
Standing crookedly, twisting their waists and kicking their legs, occasionally sneaking a lazy moment on the nearby sofa.
Zhang Li at the front desk looked at him and grumbled to Wang Xiaoya, “Look at that big dummy, he even enjoys standing guard so much; he’s born to be a security guard!”
Wang Xiaoya tapped her on the head and said, “He’s earnest about his job, how can that be wrong?”
Zhang Li’s eyes widened with a mischievous grin, “Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for him?”
Wang Xiaoya’s face turned red, and she glared at her, “What nonsense are you talking about?
I just think he’s a nice person and consider him a friend, that’s all!”
Zhang Li leaned on the table, sighing, “He is nice, way better than Chu Feng.
If I ever catch that guy, I’ll castrate him!”
After work, the building emptied out as the men and women left one by one, laughing and talking.
Long Fei glanced over and admitted Chu Feng was right; this place indeed seemed to have half of Binhai City’s beauties.
The women passing by all had slender waists and long legs.
With various perfumes lingering in the air, their long hair flowing and their spirited appearance dazzling to the eye.
However, most of them didn’t even want to spare him a glance.
Some of them even covered their noses to avoid his heavy scent of sweat as they passed by.
How could he not reek of sweat after standing under the sun all day!
Long Fei had two sets of security uniforms and decided to take one home to wash today.
As the crowd thinned out, Long Fei still hadn’t seen Lin Yingying.
Zhang Li and Wang Xiaoya left later than the others.
Zhang Li left first, and Wang Xiaoya, following behind her, pulled out a handkerchief from her bag and handed it to him as she passed by Long Fei, “This is a linen handkerchief I knitted myself.
You can use it to wipe your sweat, just wash it after using it, it’s more convenient than a tissue!”
Long Fei took it, but before he could say anything, she quickly went through the revolving door and left, hooking arms with Zhang Li as they walked away.
Standing on the opposite side, a colleague teased Long Fei, “Brother Long, not bad, someone’s already sending you love tokens!”
“Get lost!”
Long Fei laughed and cursed, then unfolded the linen handkerchief to take a look.
There was an embroidered plum blossom on it, and beneath the flower were three small characters, “Wang Xiaoya”!
He hadn’t expected to find a girl these days who could weave; looking at the embroidery, the handiwork was indeed very good.
