Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 782: Why does the little fat boy attract so many bees and butterflies?
Chapter 782: Chapter 782: Why does the little fat boy attract so many bees and butterflies?
Brandon Piers got into the car and immediately turned his head to look at Abigail without blinking.
Abigail felt uneasy under his gaze. "Is there something on my face?"
"Nothing. Just looking at how my little tubby manages to attract so much attention." As he spoke, Brandon reached out to pinch Abigail’s cheek and pulled her into his embrace.
Abigail slapped the man’s hand away. "What are you talking about?"
"Still denying it? Jeffrey Foster, Benjamin Jones, and now there’s even Joshua Piers," Brandon said with evident frustration.
Abigail felt a bit awkward being confronted like this. "Is... is it true? Joshua Piers probably doesn’t like me. He’s just messing with you on purpose."
"Is that so?" Brandon still remembered how Joshua had looked at Abigail when he entered the studio, with eyes shining as if he had found The Muse.
He didn’t think that man was just trying to get on his nerves.
Hearing Brandon’s distrustful "is that so," Abigail gritted her teeth and answered affirmatively, then hastened to add, "Don’t worry. My heart only belongs to you."
Her survival instinct made her voice sweet and soft.
Brandon looked at the little woman before him. He had probably become used to seeing her chubby self. After Abigail slimmed down, his focus had always been on his little tubby’s health, rarely noticing her appearance. But recently, because of comments on her looks and all the newfound admirers, he suddenly realized she was no longer the chubby girl who used to be scorned for her looks.
She had transformed into a true beauty, radiant from the inside out.
Thinking of this, Brandon felt even more threatened. He pulled her into his arms, resting his chin on Abigail’s shoulder and gently rubbing against her.
Abigail sensed Brandon’s low mood, knowing he had been removed from his position as CEO by the company’s high-level executives and directors today. Although he likely anticipated this, the reality must still hit hard.
Her heart ached as she pressed her cheek against his. "Tired?"
"I’m no longer the CEO of Piers, and I have to face a lawsuit now. Will you still stay with me?" Brandon asked in a gloomy voice.
"Hmm... let me think about it," Abigail teased, dragging out her words.
Brandon quickly lifted his head. "Do you really need to think about that?"
"Yeah, you’re a handsome man, and it might be pretty hard to support you. I need to think about how I can make more money to take care of you," Abigail replied earnestly.
The man, who had been somewhat dejected, immediately brightened, his amber eyes filled with laughter. "Who says I’m hard to support? If you want to take care of me, I’m very easy to please."
Abigail felt the instant sadness in him disappear and secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She pecked his nose playfully. "What do you mean by easy to please?"
"Hmm..." Brandon also dragged out his words deliberately. "Having you to eat with every day would be enough."
Just a moment ago, Abigail felt sorry for the man. "...Shut up."
Brandon laughed, his chest vibrating, causing Abigail, who was sitting on his lap, to feel her heart flutter. She realized that this man was truly mischievous.
Even knowing he did it on purpose, she couldn’t muster a single ounce of annoyance. Instead, his words always made her heart melt. She also noticed how contradictory he was. When she was chubby, he often complained about not being able to lift her, but now he seemed eager to stick to her at any given chance.
"Hehe." Despite being told off, Brandon didn’t restrain himself. Instead, he laughed even more freely.
Looking at his handsome face up close, Abigail couldn’t help but laugh softly.
The atmosphere in the car was warm and sweet, making Peter and Pullan, who sat in front, feel overwhelmed. Suddenly, Abigail shouted, "Peter, stop the car."
Peter didn’t understand why but still stepped on the brakes and stopped the car. He turned back to ask Abigail, "Ma’am, is something wrong?"
Pullan, in the passenger seat, became highly alert, observing their surroundings. Brandon also placed Abigail gently off his lap, frowning. "What happened?"
Abigail didn’t expect such a reaction from them and felt a bit awkward. "I need to get something."
Only then did everyone realize they were passing by the villa Abigail used to live in and collectively relaxed.
"I’ll go with you," Brandon said, getting ready to follow Abigail out of the car, but she pressed him back into his seat.
"Why?" Brandon asked in confusion.
"I’ll go. It’ll be quick." Abigail said, jumping out of the car as soon as she opened the door. Before Brandon could react, she was already running towards the villa.
Brandon, with an inscrutable expression, instructed Pullan, "Follow her."
Pullan had already opened the car door and, at Brandon’s command, ran after Abigail. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
But as Abigail had promised, she was very quick. Within three minutes, she returned, holding a small pink creature. She waved at Brandon, who was sitting in the car with the window down.
It took Brandon only a second to see what Abigail was holding, and his face turned dark.
Abigail watched from a distance as Brandon’s previously smiling face became expressionless, wanting to laugh but holding it back.
At that exact moment, Benjamin Jones arrived, just getting out of his car. He saw Abigail holding Pinky, froze for a second, then said, "Abby, you’re back?"
"No, I was just passing by to get something," Abigail replied, having adjusted her mindset about Benjamin during this time.
But after she answered, she noticed the man in the car wore an even more displeased expression, while Benjamin, looking at Pinky in her arms, rarely smiled warmly. "Getting Pinky?"
"Yeah, I plan to be at the manor for a while, so I brought Pinky. It would be lonely to leave it alone." Abigail answered lightly, not sensing anything amiss.
Benjamin didn’t ask further, glancing at the now-empty villa. "Well, you’ve paid a year’s rent for this place; keep it for now. You never know; it might come in handy later."
"Alright." Abigail really liked the villa in Rose Valley and didn’t hesitate to nod.
Just as they were chatting happily, the man in the car suddenly coughed loudly.
Benjamin looked over, his cold face showing a hint of disdain. "You’d better leave quickly before someone coughs their lungs out."
Abigail turned red, embarrassed, and gave Brandon an angry glance before waving goodbye to Benjamin.
She got in the car and had just set Pinky down when she heard the man’s sour tone. "Is a robot vacuum worth such fuss? Anyone would think it was the giver you were crazy about."
"Well, I do like Benjamin."
Brandon, "..."
"He’s my family." Abigail added before Brandon could blow a fuse.
Brandon still huffed in discontent, then kicked Pinky. "If it dares to chase me away again, I’ll dismantle it."
"Master, protect me. I’m so scared," Pinky, activated without anyone knowing, shivered in a human-like female voice.
Abigail chuckled, "Brandon, Pinky is still a child."
Brandon, "..." Annoyed!
