Mythology Rebooted-Chapter 396 - 185: Omnipotent, No Different from God_3
Chapter 396: Chapter 185: Omnipotent, No Different from God_3
At this sight, he was utterly dumbfounded: "Shadowmare?!"
"Yes, the Shadowmare."
From behind Wayne, a tentacle coiled around a severed limb, death energy clinging to it, turning it into withered bone and rotting flesh.
The fractured bones crumbled into ash, one by one.
A white gaping maw opened on Wayne’s face: "Knowing so much, have you never considered that I am still a Death Knight?"
Aub’s face changed dramatically, and his voice sharpened suddenly, "You actually gained the Goddess of Death’s approval, is this also the power of the Protogenos Bloodline?"
"Good that you know!"
Wayne swung his longsword to oppress, his movements wide and powerful, death energy surged forth, seizing the initiative while Aub was in disarray.
His current appearance was quite peculiar, only a Shadowmare and no Skeleton enveloped in a Death Knight vest, maintaining the form blended with The Book of Greed.
Great Eyeballs with tentacles, capturing Magician Girls, slashing Elves with a sword – the style was an incongruous landslide.
Wayne’s sword strokes were fierce; he treated Aub as he would a Giant Dragon, fighting at close quarters, denying the Elf archers the chance to create distance.
Around them, mists surged, formed by Aub’s mind into a variety of bizarre and fantastical shapes.
Meteors fell from the sky;
Cataclysmic floods rose with the changing of the moon’s phases;
Solar flames morphed into roaring lions;
And vast forests of life itself divided heaven and earth.
In this false world, with sword in hand, Wayne moved as fast as a shooting light, cleaving the falling meteors in two with a single misstep.
The death energy extinguished the meteor’s flames, and the red sky cleared.
Grey meteor fragments fell to the ground, piercing the earth with the force of ten thousand weights, creating a vast crater that extended for miles, the shockwave sweeping across, shattering the surrounding mountains.
The deluge dragged up by the moon’s phases covered the firmament; the Knight’s longsword pierced the earth, and with a roar from Wayne, the ground shook endlessly, a bottomless chasm opened, swallowing the deluge whole.
The remnants of light flashed; with an interwoven net of swords, the flaming lion was torn asunder.
The forest that divided heaven and earth, with the arrival of the Death Knight, withered and decayed, blending into the soil as part of the earth.
The more Aub fought, the more terrified he became. Not even the Legendary Mage’s Life Force Field could trouble his opponent, and somehow, Wayne had not only seen through the truth of the world but had also plundered these truths for his own use.
This made no sense; Death Knights weren’t supposed to have this kind of power!
"Heh heh heh heh————"
Wayne raised his sword to split the sun ahead, two tentacles shot out, and with a hiss, tore the sun along a dotted line into halves. Facing Aub’s disbelief, his arm stretched out several meters, flipping the Shadowmare overhead to slash down.
Aub’s arm broke, and in his haste, he sculpted a prosthetic from the silt with his mind.
Barely usable.
He raised his longbow with both arms to block, but a terrifying brute force hit him, causing his palms to go numb and his arms to tremble uncontrollably.
The mud-sculpted limb snapped off at the sound.
Wayne let out a monstrous howl, his sword hand steady, the several meters long arm retracted, his body seemingly teleporting forward in an instant.
Great Eyeball looked at Aub, uttering relentless, senseless whispers that made the latter’s head swell and his thoughts halt for a moment.
Boom!
Wayne flung his tentacles while kicking out simultaneously, striking Aub’s head and torso.
The latter was hit hard by the shapeless attack, coughed up a mouthful of sweet blood, and was thrown dozens of meters away, punching through several towering trees along the way.
As Aub steadied himself, he saw two tentacles coming for him. In a rush, he remade a mud-sculpted arm and cast over a dozen barriers.
He was an archer; it made sense to keep a distance, no reason to engage in close combat with a knight.
Orb retreated and was about to flee far away, his thoughts spreading, teleporting to a distant place.
In the illusory world, Orb teleported a kilometer, but in the eyes of the Great Eyeball, Orb was within an arm’s reach.
Two tentacles pierced through space, leaping in front of Orb, one locking onto the arm that held his bow, the other around his slender neck.
The next second, Wayne emerged from space, holding his sword in both hands.
The white sword tip swirled with the aura of death, penetrating layer upon layer of barriers, and with unstoppable force, it went through Orb’s chest, nailing him to a tree.
The aura of death surged, pouring an endless chill within.
The Star Constellation Robe Orb wore decayed, his intestines, organs, and flesh turned a dark, muddy gray, his ribs and spine clearly visible.
Orb couldn’t help but cry out in pain, his eyes wide open, his thoughts becoming a line that slammed violently into Wayne’s head.
Pfft!
The white head exploded.
"Hehehehe————"
The white flesh squirmed, mocking Orb’s foolish act; had it been the Death Knight’s Vest System, such a blow might indeed have smashed his head.
But now...
Living without a head!
Having a head or not didn’t matter at all.
Orb likely knew this too; his feint ended, and he bought himself some breaths of respite. At his chest, a cross-shaped light burst forth.
A giant holy spear shot down, its light rushing to the ends of the world, pure and scorching hot, obliterating all that was impure in its path.
The Great Eyeball on Wayne’s chest vanished, and the wound left him nearly bisected, with only slivers of white flesh on the left and right clutching on, the sight terrifying.
The white flesh writhed, and the Great Eyeball opened once again!
Orb had been through too many battles in his lifetime, including chaotic skirmishes with The Forgotten. But when it came to an Immortal Body, he had never seen anything as outrageous as Wayne.
"Ancient God..."
Orb eyed it covetously, swearing to acquire that body. Floating in mid-air, he healed under the cross lights, his severed arm and hollow chest restored to their original state.
"Wayne, you possess the power of the Ancient God, and the Shadowmare; indeed, I can’t trouble you."
Orb’s gaze shifted, Legendary Mages weren’t without their contingencies, but those were reserved for the Magic Department, too wasteful to use against an Immortal Body.
He raised his hands high, a necklace floating in front of him, its light dispelling the false world.
The light was so bright that even the Great Eyeball involuntarily closed, and the world before Wayne’s eyes opened with a filter, seeing behind Orb the endless, dazzling starry sky.
Star Realm Space.
Void World, the great universe.
In exchange for a Magic Necklace, Orb opened the Gate of Truth.
He laughed as he threw the Dark Domain into the Gate of Truth, confronting Wayne within the starry space, smilingly asked, "In this place, how long can your mind hold?"
The Book of Greed feasted greedily.
Wayne was not pleased; he blinked his Great Eyeball fiercely, seeing not only the starry sky but also an indescribably huge dark shadow.
Star Beast!
