Mythology Rebooted-Chapter 395 - 185: Omnipotent, No Different from God_2
Chapter 395: Chapter 185: Omnipotent, No Different from God_2
He greedily looked at Wayne’s monstrous body, "If I’m not mistaken, you’ve staked the infinite possibilities of the Protogenos Bloodline on the Ancient God, you saw the features of an Ancient God, and tried to evolve into one."
Mona frowned, "Nonsense, it’s clearly the visage of an angel."
Philomena’s eyes gleamed, wishing she could strip Wayne bare and study him right away. Ancient God, such a terrifying name, and her little boyfriend had actually embarked on this evolutionary path.
It had to be admitted that this was much more noble than being an elf.
Feeling the gazes from both sides, Wayne shrugged his shoulders and said helplessly, "It’s just like you to uncover what I’ve hidden so deeply."
"Hahaha————"
Austin laughed in triumph, his eyes momentarily dark, "Your idea is good, but you’re too ostentatious. Hasn’t The Church taught you not to expose yourself at the center of the vortex!"
It seemed they had mentioned that.
Austin raised his fingers, and darkness surged downward, "Wayne, given time, you could definitely convert potential, but unfortunately... I don’t have time anymore. Let me cash in on your talent!"
Life Force Field!
Mona held her holy spear in front of Wayne, while Philomena summoned the Moon Phase Cards, opening up the Moonlight Enchantment to block the invasion of the Life Force Field.
Darkness took the form of an overwhelming hand, undeterred by the Holy Flame, ignoring the moon phases, enveloping the four people within.
The Life Force Field is the strongest tool of a Legendary Mage, enough to repel the pollution of the stars, allowing the Legendary Mage to traverse the Great Void Cosmos without being assaulted by boundless knowledge.
In other words, Austin could freely enter and exit the Gate of Truth, his thoughts not succumbing to madness.
As for the Life Force Field, it was a part of the Great Void Cosmos itself, pulled out of the void by the thoughts of the Legendary Mage, a projection then enriched with their knowledge and reconstructed into three-dimensional space.
This is the world of the Legendary Mage, where they are omnipotent, no different from gods.
Moon phases change and cycle, driving away darkness and bringing light.
Philomena, consuming her magic power, summoned the sacred moonlight, and with her thoughts, shaped it, carving out a pure land amidst the darkness.
The four cards were indeed treasures of the Moonlight Church’s heritage, allowing Philomena, a Golden Mage, to disregard the suppression of her realm and carve out her own domain within the world of a Legendary Mage.
However, it was eventually an external force; she herself had not reached a comparable height and could not defeat Austin with the cards alone; the limit was self-preservation.
Philomena looked warily around the surrounding darkness, "The world of a Legendary Mage holds infinite possibilities; we will see everything in this world, as well as some existences beyond imagination. Remember, all these are false, not real."
As her words fell, Wayne lost sight of Philomena in front of him, and when he turned back, Mona was also nowhere to be found.
He gathered his tentacles and tightened his hold on Chris behind him, his Great Eyeballs turning toward the darkness at the center, finding Austin who was readying his bow.
Layers of boundless darkness enveloped like a thick fog, shrouding the truth.
A clear distinction between heaven and earth, adorned with an unbounded starry sky as the galaxy rushed forward.
The dazzling sun and the reflecting cold moon occupied the center of the starry sky, with Wayne standing upon the earth, watching the soil rise into mountains, endless greenery spreading out, and great rivers flowing between valleys.
Giant trees reaching into the sky, lush and overflowing with life, the surging vitality of this newborn world creating a cycle.
"Sun and moon in the same sky..."
"It’s not impossible, but they shouldn’t be so close together; even more, they shouldn’t be the same size. This is not at all physical, and it certainly doesn’t hold up mathematically."
"One could only say it’s a pursuit of high art!"
Wayne looked towards the end of the world, recalling Philomena’s words, and for a moment he deeply agreed; the unscientific world was filled with falsehoods.
All fake, unable to deceive him!
Wayne shut off the filters of his Great Eyeballs, and the world before him was transformed anew.
There were no sun or moon, no mountains or rivers, nor any starry sky or greenery; everything was false, a lifeless world of darkness with only some tumbling fog projections of absurd nothingness.
The Book of Greed expressed a longing for these fogs, and Wayne suppressed its desire.
No hurry, Austin, thinking himself invisible, was nearing.
Wayne looked around confusedly; at the end of the world, he found Mona and Philomena, both women engaging fervently in a battle of wits with the air, already at a disadvantage.
"You said it was false and yet you took it for real; you deserve being tricked to your bare skin."
Wayne critiqued Philomena, but he did not think about the reason why he could see through the falsehood; the Life Force Field of a Legendary Mage was vivid and lifelike. Without the Book of Greed, and without a Great Eyeball on her chest, Philomena naturally took it for reality.
Otherwise, if one simply believed it to be false to ignore it, what would be the point of a Legendary Mage’s desperate efforts to level up?
"A perfect body, Ancient God features, you may well be the essence of life."
Austin spoke admiringly, sparing no praise.
He knew Wayne couldn’t hear; in this world, he was a god, he could manipulate Wayne’s entire range of senses. Only with his concession could Wayne hear, see, feel.
"I’ll take your body for myself."
Austin reached for Wayne, his eyes bearing no image of Chris.
What Divine Child, Divine Blood, none were as noble as a Protogenos Bloodline evolving toward an Ancient God, especially ’Ancient God’ — its value was too high.
Swish!
A white beam flashed past, shining in Austin’s obsessed eyes.
A dense aura of death assaulted him, jolting him awake from his beautiful fantasy, just as the White Knight’s Sword came close to his neck, causing him to swiftly retreat.
A line of blood traced across, Austin’s instinctively raised arm falling to the ground.
White light poured forth, and death loomed.
He didn’t have time for surprise, and was pushed back by the continuous flashes of the sword light, defending with his Magic Wand transformed into a longbow; only then could he see the situation in the arena.
