Chapter 109: The Room With A Fish Aquarium

(Arata)

It was less like walking inside a room and more like stepping into a serene sanctuary designed around a calming blue theme.

The first thing I noticed was the stunning aquarium wall against which the bed had been placed.

The aquarium spanned that wall’s entire height and width, filled with crystal-clear water and teeming with vibrant marine life. Schools of iridescent fish glided gracefully through the water. Goldfish, angelfish, clownfish, red tiger barb and many others. The delicate coral formations and swaying sea plants created a mesmerizing underwater landscape. Soft blue LED lights embedded in the aquarium cast a gentle, shimmering glow, adding to the room’s tranquil feel.

"Wow! You have a whole aquarium as the wall. Look at all these fish." I surged forward, placed my hand on the cool glass and observed their movements. I felt like a small child, who had found the aquarium for the first time.

"Fish are beautiful and have a calming effect on the watcher. I like observing them," he answered smoothly from behind me.

Tearing my eyes away from the breathtaking aquarium I glanced around. The walls were painted in soft, gradient shades of blue, transitioning from a pale, almost white azure near the floor to a deeper cerulean as they rose toward the ceiling. Accents of silver and white were scattered throughout the space, mimicking the glimmer of sunlight on water.

The furniture was modern and minimalist, with plush, navy-blue sofas and chairs adorned with cushions in varying shades of blue and black. A sleek, glass coffee table sat in the centre, reflecting the light from above while a stylish vanity satvin the corner.

The flooring was a light, polished wood, adding warmth to the cool tones of the room, and a soft, sky-blue area rug which tied the whole space together.

Karsten was right behind me, closely observing while leaning against the wall with his feet crossed at the ankles while I examined the room he had given me.

Decorative elements included abstract art featuring oceanic and celestial motifs and a large flat screen which had been adjusted on the wall opposite the bed.

The large four-poster bed was adorned with luxurious, navy blue linens and plush, azure throw pillows. There were so many pillows and cushions, my heart swelled seeing that.

Then there was this large, floor-to-ceiling window that must offer stunning views of the huge gardens in the morning. I was sure the glass was one way.

"Look up," Karsten instructed while remaining near the wall as he flicked a switch.

My head lifted towards the ceiling where the panels were shifting, moving back. It was the skylight ceiling, a large, retractable glass panel that spanned half the ceiling. It slowly opened, revealing the vast expanse of the night sky above. The stars shone right back at me and I could see the crescent moon peeking too.

"Nice, I love skylight ceilings, it’s like staring into the heavens."

When he closed the ceiling, embedded LED lights mimicked the natural light of the sky, creating the illusion of an endless blue expanse of daytime.

This room was a perfect blend of technology and nature, offering a peaceful retreat where you could feel connected to the sky above and also feel like diving under the ocean while observing the flowering gardens. The place had seamlessly blended the indoors with the outdoors and I was already loving this room.

Karsten pointed to a closed door on the opposite wall and said.

"That’s the wash area and walk-in closet. Caysir will bring your luggage and I will send someone over to help you arrange your stuff."

"I will appreciate that." I offered a generous smile, rotating myself to face him.

He then pointed to the cordless phone on the side desk and explained.

"That’s the house phone. If you need anything, just pick it up and order."

This was like staying at a seven-star hotel and getting VIP treatment from my boss. What a turn of events.

I fully turned to face him and gathered a smile on my face. I had been against coming to his place but seeing it with my eyes, now I wanted to stay.

"Thank you! Your place is exceptionally beautiful and I can feel you have taken time to design every piece, put it together to create something unique."

Karsten generously displayed the smile which turned his eyes tinier and made him look cute—extremely cute, like a carefree boy, not the cold CEO of the Arsten Empire.

"You approve? I thought it wouldn’t fit your taste." He pulled the stray strands away from his wrinkle-free forehead.

"Blue is a shade of melancholy, but you have used it brilliantly; I feel relaxed seeing it," I truthfully told him.

"I appreciate your honesty, Blue Rose. Maybe there needs to be a rose painted on your door." What was with men in my life and their obsession with roses? Azul called me curvy rose but that’s because of my hair, since most common roses are red. But Karsten had labelled me as a blue rose and now he wished to have it carved in my door as if I was going to be staying in this room forever.

"I think it’s good the way it is." I took a step back and perched on the edge of the soft bed.

"I will let you settle in. Come downstairs once you are done, we will have dinner together. I am sure you are starving." As if agreeing to his words, my stomach gave a hungry growl and I pursed my lips and glanced down at my tummy.

’Way to embarrass me.’

"See your stomach agrees." He pointed with amusement dancing in his eyes.

"Yeah! I guess," I sheepishly agreed.

Karsten cast one last glance at me and then exited my room, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I let myself flop on the soft bed, which seemed to have been made with feathers and almost screamed with relief as it brought my back so much relief. I was lost in thoughts when a low rap on my door broke my concentration.

"Who is there?" I asked.

"I am here with your luggage. Master has sent me."

MASTER? I almost snorted. He made his house help call him master? freēwēbnovel.com

This man never failed to amaze me and make me laugh.

"Enter!" I softly gave permission, and the knob moved; someone entered the room. I sat up straight to watch her.
