Chapter 174: SANHA X LEE JUNSU (2)

"SO, HOW did Lee Junsu react to everything you said?"

"He’s just as cautious as you, Sanha-ssi. The kid said he’ll talk to his lover’s grandfather first. But once the kid confirms that everything I said to him was true, then wouldn’t he start trusting me?"

Sanha nodded while puffing smoke out of his mouth.

He was the one who saved Lee Junsu the night the kid was attacked.

And, after confronting the kid’s attackers, he had confirmed that the mastermind behind that was Chairman Kim Hyungsik.

Well, to be fair, the thugs didn’t know it was the chairman of Ilsung Group.

It was Sanha who worked hard to find out the mastermind behind the attack.

I found out the person who hired the thugs, and he turned out to be the rookie member of Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s personal security team.

That was how he had confirmed that everything Shaman Crystal said was true.

"Sanha-ssi, do you believe me now?"

"It’s hard not to," Sanha admitted. "I’ve seen how your pieces of advice saved my father from getting into trouble several times. And, now, you’re helping my hyung clean up after the mess he created. So far, your Celestial Eyes haven’t failed yet."

Apparently, every shaman in South Korea had an expertise.

Shaman Crystal possessed Celestial Eyes, the source of her accurate visions. Moreover, thanks to her eyes, which could see danger around her, she could easily hide herself in places where people wouldn’t find her.

That’s why Hyung works with this person.

"That kid will really die if he doesn’t give up on Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s grandson," Shaman Crystal said. "I used a lot of my divine power to show that kid his dire future with his lover. So, how do you plan to compensate me for my hard work, Sanha-ssi?"

"Let’s work together, ma’am," Sanha offered, flashing his business smile at the shaman. "I want you to get closer to Lee Junsu."

LEE JUNSU saw it— no, he actually felt it.

When Shaman Crystal held his hand to show him his future, he found himself standing on the rooftop of his agency’s building.

While standing on the edge of the rooftop in that vision, he felt all the feelings that the Lee Junsu in the vision had: anger, disappointment, sadness, anxiety, pain, and fear. Those emotions were so overwhelming that he felt overstimulated even as a "bystander."

Hence, when the Lee Junsu in the vision jumped off the rooftop, the real Lee Junsu also felt it.

He felt like he was dying in real life, too.

And that was a feeling that traumatized him a lot.

I can’t let that happen in the future.

Hence, Lee Junsu met up with Chairman Kim Hyungsik in secret after getting discharged in the hospital.

The meeting place was in the private lounge of a famous Chinese restaurant.

"Are you here to tell me that you’re giving up on my grandson?" Chairman Kim Hyungsok asked impatiently. "If you do, I’ll help your group debut."

Right.

That was another thing.

While Lee Junsu was in the hospital, he received a call from her group mates. They told him that the agency had suddenly postponed their debut without a proper explanation. And, apparently, the CEO said their debut was on Lee Junsu’s hands.

It wasn’t hard to come up with the conclusion that Chairman Kim Hyungsik was the one behind the delay of their debut.

"Are you not going to apologize first, Chairman Kim?"

"Apologize for what?"

"I almost died," Lee Junsu said, pointing at his chest. He was actually stabbed on his back, but it was awkward to point that out. "You’re the one behind my attack, aren’t you?"

He wasn’t just stabbed— someone also smacked his head with a brick.

Hence, he lost consciousness.

When he woke up, he was already in the hospital.

And Shaman Crystal took care of everything for him.

"If you’re so sure that I was the one behind your attack, then why not report it to the police?"

Lee Junsu smirked bitterly. "As if a nobody like me could report the chairman of Ilsung Group to the police."

Hence, he didn’t bother reporting his attack.

Well, the police still came and asked questions.

But I can tell that the officers weren’t interested in my case— like they already knew who was behind my attack.

Even the CEO of his agency didn’t seem to care much.

"Why don’t you do us all a favor and just follow whatever you’re being told to do?"

That was what the CEO told Lee Junsu after he told his agency that he had been attacked. frёeωebɳovel.com

Clearly, the CEO knew that he was being targeted by the chairman of Ilsung Group.

"Ah, maybe I should just tell Kim Heedo that his grandfather tried to kill me."

Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s face darkened. "Do you really want to die?"

"Are you really going to kill a child just because of your superstitious belief?"

"You wouldn’t understand," the chairman said, scoffing. "I built my empire thanks to the guidance of that esteemed shaman."

"But Kim Heedo said he already turned down the person you wanted him to marry, sir."

"Kim Heedo will eventually do what I want since our family’s future relies on his marriage," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said firmly. "So, don’t make it difficult for everyone."

Haaah.

Lee Junsu knew that if he told everything to Kim Heedo, Kim Heedo would choose him over his family.

However, he remembered Shaman Crystal’s warning.

"Yes, your lover will choose you now. But you saw the other glimpse of the future that I showed you, didn’t I? The one before you saw yourself killing yourself."

Right.

There was that scene scarier than when the future Lee Junsu took his own life.

I guess I have no choice but to give up for now.

"I’m tired of your bullying, Chairman Kim," Lee Junsu said, sighing. "Fine. I’ll break up with Kim Heedo."

"My grandson is stubborn. You know that simply breaking up with him won’t suffice, don’t you?"

"I’ll push him away."

Lee Junsu had no choice but to do that anyway.

I need to follow Shaman Crystal’s advice.

"Good thinking," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said while nodding, obviously satisfied with the outcome of their conversation. "How much do you want in return—"

"I don’t need anything from you, Chairman. Just leave me and my group alone," Lee Junsu said, getting up from his seat. "You may have gotten what you want today, but remember this— one day, I’ll make you pay for everything you’ve done to me."

"WHO ARE you?"

Haaah.

Lee Junsu had another bad dream.

The nightmare was the "scene" that Shaman Crystal showed him.

It was a glimpse of the future where Kim Heedo had lost his memories. And, because of that, he had forgotten about Lee Junsu. As a result, Chairman Kim Hyungsik was able to finally convince Kim Heedo to marry the person the chairman wanted for his grandson.

He saw it in his dream.

The faces in his nightmare were all blank. But he could tell what was happening even though the vision looked like a movie set in fast-forward.

That was how powerful Shaman Crystal’s vision was.

So, I have no choice but to believe in her.

"How can I stop that future from happening?" Lee Junsu asked weakly. "I don’t want to die, and I don’t want to lose Kim Heedo forever either."

It had been a month since he broke up with Kim Heedo.

His group’s debut had been confirmed.

But although his career was doing good, he still felt empty after losing his lover.

Hence, Lee Junsu decided to trust Shaman Crystal.

I don’t want Kim Heedo to forget about me.

"Listen to me carefully, Junsu-ya," Shaman Crystal said, smiling. "If you listen to me well, we’ll both get what we want."
