Game Reincarnation: Reborn as the Strongest Villain-Chapter 106 Freshman Representative.
Chapter 106: 106 Freshman Representative.
Time flashed in a blink, and now was the time for the entrance ceremony, which celebrated the acceptance of the candidates who had passed the exams.
The morning sun warmly shone upon the world, welcoming the spring that greeted the world with blossoming life.
A pleasant rustle of the flower bed swayed gently in the warm breeze. The faint smell of fertilized soil filled the entire campus.
But sadly, there were no people in sight as they were gathered inside an auditorium.
"Let’s welcome this spring with a new spirit...".
A handsome blonde man stood on the stage. His voice reverberated across the room, attracting the attention of freshmen and others on the second floor above.
Jin lifted his gaze, noting that the second floor was divided into two sections: the senior seats on the right and the parents on the left.
Earlier this morning, his parents, including Silvia and Lucya, visited them in their condo.
Now, they were seated in the front seats, a privilege brought by the appearance of a King of the nation.
The senior on the stage kept rambling about incomprehensible words, which Jin didn’t capture wholly as he was staring absent-mindedly with furrowed brows.
At that time, the result was announced. Jin still vividly recalled the names on the Alpha-Class list.
His group was mentioned, as were Allen and Lily, the main characters of the story. Some names intrigued him, but he was still unconvinced without solid proof.
He had many questions about the basis on which the Class was selected. Is it academic? Skill assessment?
Or maybe something stupid, like the political situation and a bit of racism that used to play in this kind of environment with many different races.
It wouldn’t have differed from Jin’s previous world if that were the case.
The long speech incited some males to nod off in boredom. Jin pinched his thighs, holding back the yawn that tickled his mouth to open.
"...Next is the speech of the freshmen representative. Let us welcome Jin Midnight to the stage".
A wave of gasps echoed in the room. It came from the second floor, where people were curious about who the boy named Jin was.
On the other side, at the Parents section, especially within the Eira Kingdom seats. The Viscount families stiffened as they went wide-eyed, glaring at a certain boy who knitted his brows in wonder.
’Speech? Is that a thing?’. Jin glanced to his side and watched Silvia, Iris, and Lucya with an unaidable voice, showing him a firm gaze.
He shifted toward the stage and saw not only the senior and the teacher but the whole crowd focus their attention on him.
Silence draped the whole room in an awkward atmosphere. What was the reason the boy kept delaying his appearance?
A second passed, then Jin, who couldn’t bear the tension in the place, straightened his body.
Jin felt a tingling sensation crawl over his skin from the stinging gazes from the people above.
He was unbothered and walked calmly forward. His steps rang like a distant echo, close yet felt so distant.
The crowds sucked cold breaths, impressed by the boy’s composure as he stepped onto the stage.
But that was a facade as the truth was far too cruel to be revealed.
’This is bad. I didn’t prepare anything for a speech’. Jin exhaled sharply, trying to chase away the weight that clenched his lungs.
His breath hitched while his heart pounded loudly in his ears, threatening to burst out from his chest.
The boy stood on the stage and faced the crowds whose gazes were like that of a snake that froze a frog.
But if they thought the one that stood on the stage was a frog. They were significantly mistaken.
The one that stood on the stage was none other than a hawk. His sharp emerald eyes, who saw a thousand miles in the sky, were ready to crush over this den of snakes with its sharpened talons.
Jin inhaled, loosening his tightened throat.
"Good morning, esteemed guests, teachers, seniors, and fellow freshmen this year.
My name is Jin Midnight. I am honoured to be standing here and to have been appointed as a representative this year.
...".
The boy paused, letting the tension in the room soothe. They were impressed by Jin’s nerve of steel, facing so many scrutinizing gazes.
"...
Today marks the beginning of a journey, a path filled with challenges and endless possibilities ahead.
...".
More and more people were absorbed on the stage. The boy’s straight posture, firm and filled with charm, captivated many students and teachers aside.
"...
Many of us came from different backgrounds, with different stories and races, but all of that is irrelevant, for we stand here together at the starting lines.
Chasing the dreams that we hold tight in our chest.
...".
As Jin’s words spilled through the crowd, some furrowed their brows, feeling an uncomfortable weight in their chest for being compared with a certain individuality.
Their calm gaze shrank as it rained down the stage with contempt.
The boy who noticed the shift in the mood, spreading his lips to reveal his sharpened canines.
"...
There will be trials or losses, and maybe a day will come when we question our own worth.
But I want you to hold dear to the fire in your heart and walk forward with your gaze lifted high.
Rise when you fall, never give up, learn everything, and pursue the ideal of the dream you believe in. Because I believe your effort won’t betray you in the end.
..."
Jin halted his speech. His emerald eyes scanned the crowds, who had various emotions in their eyes. ’I see, so it was as I thought. ’
"...
My fellow freshmen, let’s make the years we spend in this place unforgettable so that we can tell the tales of our legend to our descendants.
I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to my speech.
Thank you.
...".
The boy bowed his torso briefly, then descended the stage as if nothing had happened.
One clap rang across the room, then two, before thunderous claps rained upon him as he walked toward where his comrades were waiting.
Jin flopped his but toward his seat and exhaled. He loosened the tie that choked him, allowing his lungs to breathe freely.
He turned to the side, welcomed by three pairs of smiling faces. The boy parted his lips and leaned back on the seat. ’I hope this could end quickly. ’
"Next is the speech from our principal".
But his hopes were shattered in the next moment, as the handsome senior continued to introduce an old man with wrinkles and white hair standing on the stage.
The boy shrugged his shoulders and let his thoughts wander, trying to lessen the irritation that had slowly built up within him.

After the ceremony, the students sprawled across the place, talking to their parents for the last time before the long separation ahead.
Jin, who faced his parents, nodded off gently, listening to his mother’s endless nagging.
"Listen, Jin. I know you are strong, but don’t be delusional, for there will always be someone stronger than you".
"Yes". Jin replied, turning to his father, who stood a step behind his wife. ’Help me, father’.
The man raised a thumb, not wanting to interfere with the mother and son’s bonding. Jin smacked his lips, careful not to let out a voice.
"Dear, do you have something to say?".
Asked by his wife, the husband raised a brow. He rubbed his jaw for a second before turning to Jin.
"Your prediction was indeed spot on. But don’t worry; I already took care of it, and about the item, too." ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
"I see, thank you, father".
"What are you guys talking about?".
Feeling left out, the mother alternated her gaze. His father stepped closer and began to explain the situation as they stood in close proximity.
"I see, so it was because of this". Marina nodded off as she understood what they were talking about.
Jin swept his gaze to see Silvia and her mother hugging each other, Lucya, who had shared a deep conversation with his father.
And Iris, who watched everything in the back, tilting her head adorably when she was gestured by his hand to come over.
"What’s the matter?".
"No, nothing. Next time just stand beside me when my parents are talking to me".
"Eh? How could I? I don’t want to be a bother". The Elven girl furiously shook her head sideways.
"No, you aren’t a bother at all". Jin grasped the girl’s hand, feeling its smooth and warm skin that spread to his heart. "We are family, right?".
"...?". Iris’s breath stopped as she stared intently at the boy’s emerald eyes that reflected her figure.
Blood rushed to her face, painting her cheeks deep red. Her hand unconsciously sought more warmth by interlocking their fingers together.
Iris glanced at the boy and said, with a sheepish smile, "Thank you, Jin. Please take care of me from now on."
The boy responded by tightening their hands together and answered. "Yes, likewise. Please take care of me too".
