Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 1321: The Road to Neo-Shengis
Chapter 1321: The Road to Neo-Shengis
After all, the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth didn’t operate within the Erythar Star System, but rather in the Pleiades Star System.
There was no reason for two foreign cultivators to have any dealings with them.
"That’s not necessarily the case," the young man’s eyes darkened with unease.
He had a bad feeling, as though something terrible was about to happen.
There was one thing that very few people in the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth knew—the young man himself was from the Erythar Star System.
Now, he worried that those two mysterious cultivators had come for him.
Meanwhile, Amalia remained unaware that the remnants of the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth she had sworn to eliminate had already arrived in the Solvaris Star System and were heading straight for Planet Neo-Shengis.
After five relentless days of battle, the human mecha army conquered one mining planet after another.
By the morning of the sixth day, they had successfully cleared four planets of alien forces.
Over a hundred million humans had been rescued—more precisely, about 130 million.
The last three mining planets weren’t as large as the first, and their radiation minerals were of lower quality.
Because of this, fewer humans had perished on those planets.
Most of the rescued were refugees from the Erebos Star System.
Since their system neighbored the Solvaris Star System, many of their people had been captured as well.
With their consent, Amalia transported them into her small world, keeping them separate from the others.
Following Nazir’s suggestion, she sent a hundred Erebos Star System refugees to integrate with the others, easing their suspicions.
Upon seeing familiar faces from their homeland, the refugees from the Erebos Star Star lowered their guard significantly.
To further solidify their faith, Amalia chose not to leave the small world, moving between the human settlements to make her presence known and harvesting another wave of faith energy.
Kenny Lin no longer clung to her and seemed preoccupied with other matters.
By the time Amalia finally thought about him, a whole day had passed.
That drama king was usually glued to her side, and his sudden absence felt strange. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
After finishing her tasks, Amalia exited the small world.
"Where is Kenny?"
She casually grabbed a passing soldier.
The man looked startled but quickly became excited upon recognizing her.
"Ms. Amalia, Mr. Kenny left yesterday and hasn’t returned since."
"He left? Do you know where he went?"
The soldier shook his head. "You might need to ask the general."
Amalia nodded and released him.
The soldier gave her a quick salute before rushing off.
Everyone was busy.
After wiping out the aliens on four mining planets, they had obtained a vast amount of resources.
The aliens never dared to let the humans starve completely.
As human resistance intensified, the aliens had begun sending new captives only once every couple of months, leading them to stockpile large amounts of coarse food just to keep the prisoners alive.
Amalia stored these supplies in her small world and had Nazir distribute them among the human settlements.
The food wasn’t great, but at least it was enough to keep everyone full.
The next step was ensuring they became self-sufficient.
Fortunately, the small world was no longer the barren place it had been when Nazir and the others first entered.
Vast forests now stretched across the land, filled with signs of wild animals.
If people put in the effort, they could at least hunt for meat.
Within these settlements, people with natural leadership skills began to emerge.
Unlike most ordinary people, they quickly understood Amalia’s true purpose.
Not only did Amalia help Nazir calm the unsettled humans, but she also assisted in leading them as they settled into the small world.
Of course, Amalia didn’t trust them nearly as much as she trusted Nazir.
To win them over, she instructed Nazir to occasionally reveal small insights about cultivation, making them believe that as long as they remained loyal and devote, the immortals would not mistreat them.
To further solidify their allegiance, Nazir arranged for them to hold monthly meetings at a fixed location to report on the development and status of their respective settlements.
After the first meeting, the initial chaos gradually subsided, and the hundred or so settlements began progressing in a positive direction.
Now, Amalia received a steady flow of faith energy from these people every day.
Unlike the initial sporadic bursts, once they stabilized and no longer struggled for survival and safety, they finally had the capacity to think about other things.
If not for the restrictions imposed by this universe’s laws, Amalia was certain her cultivation could have leaped an entire major realm, possibly even bypassing the Body Integration Stage entirely.
Pushing these thoughts aside, she headed to the battleship in search of General Rafiq, only to find that Kenny Lin wasn’t with them either.
"Ms. Amalia, you arrived just in time. In two more days, the preparations will be complete, and we’ll be ready to leave. Is there anything else we need to be mindful of?" General Rafiq asked respectfully.
Amalia glanced at the group whose attention was focused on her. "Are you all planning to follow me to Planet Neo-Shengis?"
"Of course! Wasn’t that the plan from the beginning?" The group looked surprised—why would Ms. Amalia even ask that?
"Planet Neo-Shengis is very close to the Solvaris Star System’s black hole. Ordinary people can’t survive there. If you all come along, you’ll be facing extreme danger. And we still don’t know what condition Planet Neo-Shengis is in."
"Ms. Amalia, you needn’t worry. I’ve already inquired about Planet Neo-Shengis with the Crimson Moon Dynasty," Minister Sharif said with a confident smile, once again putting his scholarly skills to good use.
Amalia asked, "What did you find out?"
"Planet Neo-Shengis is indeed close to the black hole. Due to the planet’s imbalance, there has been no sign of life there for a long time, and its gravity is only one percent of a normal planet’s. It’s said that because of the black hole’s presence, Planet Neo-Shengis loses a portion of its mass every day."
