Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself-Chapter 91 - 101 Age Is Just a Number
Chapter 91: Chapter 101 Age Is Just a Number
An Ran looked at the message she’d received and rubbed her forehead helplessly. What was wrong with Brother today? Did he have some sort of romantic setback?
Thinking about the encouragement and support he had given her during her own difficult times, An Ran felt it was her time to reciprocate.
She quickly typed a line of text and sent it.
Mu Xingfeng opened the message and saw An Ran’s reply: "Even people of the same age often have little in common, you know? As long as two people’s worldviews and values align, age really doesn’t matter."
Mu Xingfeng’s lips curved up slightly, and he put away his phone.
An Ran waited but didn’t receive any further messages from him. She guessed he had already figured things out. Suddenly, she felt like she had a halo of virtue above her head. Oh, mom, had she just helped someone salvage a lost love unknowingly?
Thinking this, An Ran put down her phone and took another sip of cold water. She might have eaten too much spicy food tonight; her stomach had been feeling uncomfortable.
Curled up on her bed, An Ran endured the burning stomach pain, thinking that sleeping would make it better. But the pain only worsened, making it impossible for her to fall asleep.
She remembered Mu Xingfeng had bought some emergency medicine when they passed by a pharmacy today, and there seemed to be something for the stomach. An Ran got up and groped her way to the living room.
She herself had placed the medicine box, so without bothering to turn on the lights, she rushed to the cabinet. In her haste, she tripped over the coffee table and fell to the ground with a cry.
Mu Xingfeng, who had just come out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist, heard the noise and rushed out, not caring about anything else. By the light from the bedroom, he saw An Ran lying on the floor.
Hearing the commotion, the little girl panicked and tried to get up. Mu Xingfeng took a step forward, quickly turned on the living room light.
Under the bright light, Mu Xingfeng finally saw An Ran’s pale face, her brows tightly knit, and beads of sweat on her forehead.
He bent down, picked her up, placed her on the sofa, and gently tucked her hair behind her ear, asking urgently yet tenderly, "What’s wrong? Where does it hurt? Did you bump into something?"
Wasn’t it obvious that you should turn on the lights when it’s so dark in the house? What a little idiot.
But looking at An Ran’s pained expression, how could Mu Xingfeng bear to blame her?
An Ran didn’t know where to look, seeing Mu Xingfeng wrapped in just a towel. She lowered her head and whispered, "Nothing... I’m fine. Go back to sleep.".
"An Ran—"
Mu Xingfeng’s deep, resonant voice rang out, startling An Ran. She shrank back into the sofa and said softly, "I... My stomach hurts a bit."
Damn this stubborn girl, does she only listen when he’s ordering her around?
Her face was so pale, it was clearly more than a bit of pain. She must have been unable to bear it any longer and came out to find the medicine. Mu Xingfeng got up, fetched the medicine box, poured a glass of water and handed the medicine to An Ran.
An Ran took the medicine and was about to say thanks when Mu Xingfeng turned and went back to the bedroom.
What did that mean? Was he mad at her?
Too lazy to think about it, An Ran swallowed the medicine quickly as her stomach pain was unbearable. She was about to return to her room when Mu Xingfeng returned, now dressed in casual home clothes.
Honestly, Mu Xingfeng had an amazing physique. Even though she had only glanced at him earlier, those broad shoulders, strong arms, and enviable abs were all etched into An Ran’s memory without missing a detail.
