Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 1301 - 700: The Special Benefits of Eradicating the Divine Root_2
Chapter 1301: Chapter 700: The Special Benefits of Eradicating the Divine Root_2
Pushing sprouts to grow faster still requires them to reach a certain height first.
For now, the only hope lies with the Dragon Oak Mother Tree and acquired education.
Compared with acquired education, Gaven places more faith in the subtle influence of innate traits, which is a characteristic of natural races.
Under his deliberate manipulation, a rain of life descended over the seedling ground.
All the pine saplings began swinging joyously. Though they hadn’t yet undergone transformation, their initial awareness was already stronger than that of ordinary trees.
The moment this life rain fell onto the Sodalite Treant saplings, it was absorbed immediately. They began to grow at a rate visible to the naked eye.
This was not forcing growth artificially but a true natural acceleration, using the purest, most essential life force.
Compared to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, they were not on the same scale at all. Even a slight overflow between its fingers was more than enough to benefit them.
Soon, the concentration of life force in this area rose to an extremely high level, then stabilized, prepared to be maintained over a long period.
Cultivating seedlings certainly requires investment. Even if the training of these Sodalite Treant saplings ultimately failed, Gaven wouldn’t suffer a loss. They could easily be sent to guard the Dragon Oak Mother Tree as Natural Guardians, wholeheartedly fighting for its protection. Their consumption would be minimal, seamlessly merging with the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.
After dealing with this matter effortlessly, Gaven returned to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree and said to Lord Virginia with a smile, "Mesnoel has already been connected to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree. When the time comes, some of those unable to adapt can be relocated there. They can still access the Dragon Oak Dream Realm via their souls, which would be a perfect solution."
"That is certainly a good idea, but it has two flaws. Mesnoel is located on the Material Plane, which lacks appeal to the original residents of the Fairy Wilderness. A significant number of them may refuse to go, and transporting them there poses another challenge."
"The attention span of the Fae Race is a considerable issue. If they were made to migrate thousands of kilometers, they might vanish halfway through the journey," Lord Virginia said, fully aware of the characteristics of the Fae Race.
"Indeed." Gaven nodded deeply in agreement.
As manifestations of Natural Spirits given physical form, the abilities of the Fae Race are both extreme and unique in many ways. If utilized properly, they can achieve remarkable results in certain areas with minimal effort.
However, they also possess inherent flaws to some degree—extremely polarized shortcomings that are often innate. Distracted focuses, broad interests, a love for freedom, and heightened emotional volatility are common traits of the minisized and microsized variants of the Fae Race.
One can consider them as auxiliary forces (and prepare multiple contingency plans), but never rely on them as a main strength. Their unpredictability can cause breakdowns at any moment, and no amount of effort could bring them back on course.
Throughout the journey of the Conqueror Army, while they hadn’t caused major catastrophes, minor troubles were unceasing. Many of their human companions found themselves both exasperated and entertained, harboring both love and resentment toward them.
Restructuring and training them proved immensely challenging, as many of their issues were innate. If pushed too hard, they would grow impatient themselves, adopting an attitude of utter resignation.
"When you mentioned going back to experiment, it gave me another idea," Lord Virginia said cautiously. "We must carefully choose our first attack target—seize it directly and turn it into a central stronghold to resettle those Fae unable to adapt to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree migration. This will be crucial when divisions among us reach their peak."
"Finding such a place is no easy task. It must be easy to defend but difficult to attack, exist in a zone with few enemies nearby to ensure peace at our rear, and be simple for us to capture. Ideally, it would also maintain a connection with the Mother Tree, allowing the Fae to continue accessing the Dragon Oak Dream Realm and providing the Mother Tree with remote support," Gaven listed several conditions. "Could it be, Madam, that you already have a suitable location in mind?"
"Indeed, I do." Lord Virginia asked in return, "How much do you know about General Stelina’s personal affairs?"
Gaven mused, "Not much, only that she is a hybrid of the Yaling and the Dwarves Elf, and possesses a magical fruit called the Golden Apple. Could the target you’ve chosen have something to do with her?"
"Yes," Lord Virginia nodded. "Her homeland is the Land of the Lost, named Golden Apple Garden, after the Golden Apple Tree meticulously cultivated by her grandfather. This Golden Apple Tree possesses extraordinary magic, transforming the forest in which it resides into an isolated island—half a plane unto itself. The Golden Apples it produces are imbued with miraculous magic, granting charisma and eternal youth to mortals."
"A blessing that was too tempting," Gaven remarked, already envisioning the impending events. "Golden Apple Garden inevitably drew the attention of evil forces, leading to its doom. Do we know which enemy faction has taken it over?"
"A Green Dragon, a powerful one at least of the Ancient Dragon Level, manipulated a group of Dwarves Elves with cunning schemes. Their Priestess used a formidable magical artifact to disguise herself as a stranded Yaling, infiltrating Golden Apple Garden and gaining the trust of Stelina’s father. After uncovering all the magical restrictions, she let her true master inside. Stelina’s father sacrificed himself to send her to me," Lord Virginia explained in a calm, understated tone, though the story undoubtedly brimmed with love, betrayal, and intrigue.
