Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 115: Real or Fake Dawn?
Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Real or Fake Dawn?
Jasper sighed dramatically.
"Brother, brother... you really should have been more careful. Now look at the mess you’ve made.
If you don’t want to compensate them, well... it seems the majority of these respectable businessmen will have no choice but to ban you. And we wouldn’t want that, would we?"
The crowd murmured again.
Some of the businessmen, especially the ones desperate for funding, looked ready to push harder.
"Yeah! If you don’t pay, we’ll make sure you regret it!"
"$1 million is nothing for a Green! Just pay up!"
"Admit it, Eldest Young Master Green! You’re just trying to get away with it!"
Alex’s face was red with fury, his fists clenched at his sides. He knew Jasper had set this up.
"Then ban me! I don’t need your investment at all."
Jasper as if sensing what he was hinting at chuckled,
"You mean you are here for Miss Dawn’s investment, right?"
Alex remained silent but a stubborn expression persisted in his eyes.
Jasper laughed as if he heard a joke and said,
"You? And getting investment from Miss Dawn? Oh, brother...how should I put it..."
He leaned toward Alex and whispered,
"Do you know the woman wearing a red dress and veil? Yeah, that woman is Miss Dawn, and she just now accepted my diamond bracelet.
Alex’s eyes widened for a split second before he quickly masked his shock. He turned his gaze toward the woman in the red dress and veil—Miss Dawn.
He did receive a tip that investor Dawn was wearing a veil...
She was the investor he had come here for?
Jasper smirked, watching his brother’s reaction with amusement.
Not wanting to give up, Alex straight up walked up to Nora and said,
"Hello Miss Dawn, I am Alex Green. I have a project that you might be interested in investing in."
Nora was stunned by Alex’s straightforwardness. She was planning to quietly take away all the gifts and leave the country after paying off her debts.
But now... due to Alex’s straightforwardness, her fake identity was exposed.
’Sh*t I need to do something! I can’t let others openly think that I am Dawn, after all, the real Dawn is sitting just across the hall. If she hears about me faking her identity, I would be done for!’
So she thought of the only solution she could think of and said,
"What Miss Dawn? I-I am not Dawn! I feel he speaks too much. It’s better if someone shuts his mouth."
Jasper smirked, feeling pleased with himself. Thank god he had pulled Dawn on his side.
Other businessmen on the other hand were stunned and suddenly understood everything.
Maybe the woman in a red dress wearing a veil was indeed Dawn and hence Jasper and Miles were fighting.
But they also understood that Dawn was trying to hide her real identity and hence they didn’t rush to acknowledge her identity.
Wanting to please Nora aka Dawn, everyone decided to make Alex miserable.
Alex was stunned. He wasn’t able to understand why Dawn was denying her identity.
’Maybe she is not the real Dawn and Jasper was lying.’ He thought.
With a polite nod, he said,
"Since you are not the real Dawn, I won’t disturb you."
Alex turned to leave, but before he could take a step, Miles stepped in front of him with a smirk.
"Leaving so soon, Eldest Young Master Green?" Miles said mockingly. "I thought you were here to do business."
Alex frowned. "I came here to meet Miss Dawn, but since she says she isn’t her, I have no reason to stay."
Jasper chuckled. "Oh, come on, brother. You were so confident just now. What happened? Feeling embarrassed?"
Some businessmen laughed.
"Haha! He really thought he could impress Miss Dawn!"
"He’s just making excuses now!"
Alex clenched his fists but forced himself to stay calm. He didn’t want to waste any more time with Jasper’s games.
But before he could push past Miles, a voice suddenly called out.
"Wait!"
Alex turned to see Jasper who was smiling maliciously,
"Brother kneeled down and apologized to Miss Nora for bothering her," Jasper said with a smirk.
The crowd gasped. Some people whispered to each other, excited to see how Alex would react.
Alex’s expression darkened. "Why should I apologize? I didn’t do anything wrong."
Jasper sighed dramatically.
"Oh, brother... always so stubborn. You embarrassed Miss Nora in front of everyone. A true gentleman should take responsibility, don’t you think?"
The businessmen nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, he should apologize!"
"Kneel and show some respect!" freёwebnoѵel.com
Alex ignored them and was about to leave when Jasper held his collar and other men rushed to help him.
In an instant, Alex was held down by several men, their grips tight on his arms.
"Let go!" Alex growled, struggling, but the men were strong.
Jasper chuckled. "Brother, brother... why fight it? Force him to kneel down!"
The businessmen watched with amused eyes, waiting to see Alex humiliated. Some even started chanting.
"Kneel! Kneel! Kneel!"
Nora, still pretending not to be Dawn, nervously glanced around.
She didn’t want to get involved, but if Alex kept pushing, the real Dawn might notice her.
"I-It’s okay!" she stammered, forcing a fake smile. "No need for all this! Let him go!"
Jasper raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? Miss Nora, you’re too kind. But my foolish brother should learn some manners."
Alex gritted his teeth. His pride burned, but he was outnumbered.
Then—
"Wait!" A young female voice sounded.
Everyone turned around only to see a woman wearing a beige business suit with a black inner and a black veil.
It was Aurora. She looked at Alex and though she didn’t know his identity, she felt a bit sorry for the young man.
From what she had observed, the young man only wanted an investment and didn’t intend to offend the woman wearing a veil.
After hearing their conversation she realized that the young man with blue eyes was trying to find her and had mistaken someone else for her.
"I am Dawn. And I order you all to let this young man go."
