Story is about troubled family surviving in setting like historical China with a little bit of fantasy, I could enjoy reading like this sort of thing. Unfortunately the translation quality is too poor. Not quite as bad as MTL can be, but only a little better.
Not the worst ever, but I kinda disliked it due to how dumb the plot got at times. The starting school ark is ok-ish, but then as it got to big business schemes arks, the author who is trying to write a 200 IQ MC, just lacked brains to write one convincingly. (Spoiler warning) For example, goes on a meeting with minor competitors for no good reason, flexes / faceslaps / scares&blackmails them. Problem: meeting them achieved nothing useful, exposed MCs identity and abilities prematurely, blackmail backfires they alert a higher Boss level antagonist. This leads to huge problems to MC only eventually getting solved deus ex machina style by mysteriously gaining clairvoyant powers (not explained how or why), preventing a tragedy and thus befriending the Mayor, gaining huge loans and other help. Thats catastrophic fuckup by MC that then resolved by magic elements, kind of shi*** writing. Not saying mistakes by MC mean automatically bad story, if it is properly written, maybe an inexperienced MC who grows by recognizing and learning from these mistakes, this can be good. But the author is going the reincarnated 200 iq genius MC route, mistakes are not recognized as stupid, retarded stuff is written as smart. Another example: MC luckily survives two encounters with dangerous antagonist, who would have helped others abduct, assault, ra**, torture and potentially kill her. He is described as Chaotic Evil bas**** who will do anything to anyone for money. After he is subdued with brother's help he is ... recruited as a trusted (?!) bodyguard (wtf?!) of MC and magically becomes loyal(?). Ahem, in a well written novel about smart MC, yeah, maybe an evil enemy can be subdued and used, with a lot of precautions against betrayal, but written like this, it is just retarded af.
Idk if this is deliberately bad to be a parody or what, but it doesn't seem funny bad, just bad bad. Hyper OP MC capable of casually oneshotting everything can still be a good story as proven by Overlord, but then there must be interesting story and characters. I read about 50 chapters of it and storytelling looked about as dumb and low effort as fights aka one shotting of everything. As another insult, even gameified system also looked dumb and low effort as most numbers and statblocks thrown around are like random generated numbers without consistency or making sense. Criminally bad!
In the novel, “What comes after death?” introduces us to Val, who, after dying on modern-day Earth, wakes up in a strange world called Eldrich. In this unique realm, humans turn into zombies upon death, and negativity can give birth to devils. Val gains a new chance at life by acquiring the Devil System, which allows him to choose the type of devil he wants to become. The narrative unfolds as Val encounters challenges in Eldrich, such as dungeons and powerful adversaries like the Anthrolisk. In a confrontation, Val reveals his ability to summon an undead horde, showcasing his versatile and formidable nature. Val’s character is portrayed as morally ambiguous, capable of being both a saint and a devil depending on the situation. The story explores themes of reincarnation, supernatural powers, and the consequences of one’s choices in this mysterious and perilous world.
Qin Yuan finds himself in a new world after reincarnating, but the catch is that he starts inside a coffin. Despite having great strength, he’s at the end of his lifespan and has to seal his physical body. To navigate this limitation, he relies on a Spiritual Body with limited strength. The interesting twist is the introduction of a system that grants him Karma Points. These points offer various benefits, such as buying anything and even extending his life. Essentially, the story revolves around Qin Yuan’s unique situation and the opportunities presented by the Karma Points system.
For instance, Qin Yuan’s dilemma of being in a new world with a sealed body but still having access to a Spiritual Body creates a dynamic plot. The introduction of the Karma Points system adds a layer of intrigue, as it provides a mechanism for overcoming challenges and enhancing his experience in this unfamiliar realm.

Start wasn't too bad. Not great but ok. Sadly, from about ch 70-ish translation turns into MTL cr** with zero proofreading and plot also gets often way too exaggerated and dumb even by the standards of similar genres.
Makes me giggle, curl my toes, ball my eyes out, and in general it's a really good novel to read, I love it and it will definitely be a memory in my hear
"Is it because there are too many stars.. that I can't find you?"

"You fool. Tell me, if I keep regressing, will I ever get to see you again?"
Amazing, beautifully written, and the plot is so thought out it's kind of scary.  The author MXTX did not hold back.  100% recommend.  Cultivation lovers will adore this aswell as danmei lovers!
