“No, it’s not.
It’s a technique I acquired later, and it’s part of the same set as the one I practice,” Ye Fei explained.
Then, leaning closer to Xu Shuyun’s ear, he whispered, “This is a dual cultivation technique.
Only my true woman can practice it.”
“Is that so?” Xu Shuyun gave him a teasing smile.
“Then why did you let Ye Jing practice it too?”
Ye Fei’s face turned red.
He had expected Xu Shuyun to feel shy, but instead, she caught him in his own words.
Feeling a bit awkward, he chuckled and said, “I just didn’t think about it at the time.
Should I teach her a different one instead?”
Though he said this, Ye Fei was quite pleased.
Xu Shuyun’s sharp response showed that she had fully accepted him as her lover, not just as a fleeting moment of passion.
“Fine, let’s stick with this one.
It’ll save trouble later,” Xu Shuyun said, giving Ye Fei a flirtatious glance before standing up.
“It’s getting late.
I’ll go change.
Ye Jing, you hurry up too, or you’ll be late for school.”
As Xu Shuyun’s graceful figure disappeared up the stairs, Ye Fei’s heart stirred.
What did she mean by “saving trouble later”?
Could it be…?
The thought made him ecstatic, and he couldn’t help but turn to look at Ye Jing.
After responding to her mother, Ye Jing also looked at Ye Fei, her big eyes filled with anticipation.
“Brother, can you take me to school later?” She wanted Ye Fei to stay with her all day, but she knew he had many responsibilities, so she settled for this request.
Unconsciously, the little girl was becoming more considerate.
“Of course, I’ll take you and your mom,” Ye Fei said with a smile.
“But don’t argue with your mom anymore, okay?”
“Got it,” Ye Jing agreed readily.
Her earlier conflict with her mother had been entirely because of Ye Fei, and now that he was here, she had no intention of continuing it.
Xu Shuyun soon came downstairs, dressed in her usual professional attire—a blazer paired with a knee-length skirt.
However, her spirits were much higher than the day before, making her look even more radiant than usual.
Her long legs, clad in delicate thermal stockings, caught Ye Fei’s attention, making his heart race.
Being stared at so intently by Ye Fei in front of her daughter made Xu Shuyun feel both sweetly flustered and shy.
She put on a stern face and said, “Hurry up, you two!
We’re going to be late!”
Ye Jing stuck her tongue out at Ye Fei, quickly finished her bowl of porridge, and ran to her room to change.
Ye Fei, meanwhile, obediently went to the door to put on his shoes.
Although he longed to spend more intimate moments with Xu Shuyun, he knew she wouldn’t be comfortable with Ye Jing around.
Once ready, the three of them left the villa in Ye Fei’s car.
Outside, seeing the unusually large crowd despite the rain, Ye Fei suddenly realized something and asked, “By the way, isn’t it almost New Year?
Shouldn’t you be on break?”
He had been so busy running around lately that he hadn’t been to school much.
Seeing so many young people on the streets reminded him that even Ye Yunqi and the others were already on vacation.
“The school’s making us do extra classes,” Ye Jing pouted.
“They say the high school entrance exam is in six months.
Ugh, it’s all about cramming!”
Ye Fei sighed.
He wasn’t a fan of the current education system in the country either, but it wasn’t something that could be changed overnight.
It wasn’t just about the system—it was deeply tied to societal attitudes.
Even he didn’t have a solution.
“Actually, we’re on break too, but there are still some things for us department heads to handle,” Xu Shuyun explained, then turned to Ye Jing.
“Ye Jing, even though I don’t agree with the school’s approach, the teachers are offering these extra classes for free.
So don’t cause any trouble, okay?”
“I know,” Ye Jing nodded.
She understood this well, especially since her mother was a teacher.
She was just venting to Ye Fei.
Wanghai University, where Xu Shuyun worked, and Wanghai High School, where Ye Jing studied, were located next to each other, and both were close to their home.
Soon, Ye Fei dropped them off at their respective schools.
After sharing a tender moment with Xu Shuyun, he got out of the car, feeling content.
Xu Shuyun, however, stayed in the car for a while longer, her face flushed.
The little rascal had not only kissed her but also let his hands roam all over her body, leaving her flustered for quite some time.
Strolling out of the university parking lot, Ye Fei wasn’t in a hurry to leave.
Instead, he wandered around the quiet campus.
Although he had grown up in Wanghai and most of his family—his mother, aunts, and even his sister—had graduated from this university, and his third sister was currently studying here, he had never actually visited the campus.
In fact, he hadn’t been to any university before.
Curiosity got the better of him, and he wanted to see how different it was from high school.
After all, no matter how accomplished he was, he was still just a seventeen-year-old boy at heart.
After a casual walk, Ye Fei concluded that there wasn’t much difference—just a bigger campus, more buildings, and, when school was in session, more people.
His curiosity quickly faded, and he lost interest in exploring further.
“Hey, isn’t this Xiao Ying’s boyfriend?
Can’t stand to be apart for even a moment?” A female voice called out just as Ye Fei was about to leave.
Ye Fei turned to see a rather curvy girl approaching him.
He vaguely remembered her—she had been with Ye Yunying when she returned from her trip.
Smiling, he said, “Oh, it’s you.” Although Ye Yunying had introduced her, Ye Fei hadn’t bothered to remember the names of girls he didn’t find particularly attractive.
“You remember me?” The girl seemed delighted that Ye Fei recognized her.
She enthusiastically grabbed his hand and said, “Since we’ve run into each other, let’s go together!”
