The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 290: How Bo welcomes Wang Yong to the family.
Caishen neither saw nor answered his wife’s text because he was in a rather unusual meeting, one that had been a long time coming. It was a meeting between the three brothers, himself, Bo and Wang Yong.
Their father was set to change his identity back to Zhang Xian the following week as per the insistence of the elderly couple and that would mean Wang Yong would not be far behind.
There was no question that Wang Yong wanted to be a Zhang, even his mother was pushing for it. It was a name that held prestige in the city after all.
The meeting was arranged and the three brothers met in a private bar close to Zhang construction that was closed off and reserved entirely for their use. Only a single person had remained behind to serve them, the owner of the bar, someone that Caishen and Bo knew in passing.
Two brothers were sitting across from one. Bo was smoking freely with one leg crossed over the other as he leaned back against a couch comfortably.
Caishen was sipping non alcoholic wine while giving Wang Yong a predatory gaze. Wang Yong meanwhile was wringing his fingers nervously as he fought the urge to fling off the heavy jacket he was wearing because he was sweating immensely under it.
None of the brothers had yet to say a word beyond the weird exchange of greetings.
Zhang Bo crushed a cigarrete in a crystal ash tray and poured himself some wine from the bottle Caishen had ordered.
He took one sip, and put down the glass. "This tastes like piss." he complained.
"My wife doesn’t want me overindulging in alcohol." Caishen responded proudly. "But, how do you know what piss tastes like? What have you been drinking lately brother?"
"You are smug just because you have a wife." Zhang Bo muttered.
Caishen heard his brother and he shrugged. It wasn’t his fault that he had a wife that cared and catered to him while Zhang Bo didn’t.
"Elder brothers...." Wang Yong called out in a shaky voice. "Why did you call me out?"
Zhang Bo dragged his eyes from Caishen to Yong. The smile in his eyes vanished and coldness replaced it.
"Elder brothers, who has acknowledged you here?" he replied.
Wang Yong gulped and clenched his hands by his side.
"Why, are you angry and feel wronged because we don’t acknowledge you?" Zhang Bo asked him.
Wang Yong looked down, hiding his angry eyes.
"Hey, in your mind, did you ever picture this ever being easy? Our father who was presumed to be dead came back to life with another wife and son. Did you think we would hug you and welcome you with open arms, especially after what you did?" Bo asked him.
Wang Yong’s head moved up quickly and he looked at them nervously. The kind of nervousness he was experiencing now was different from before.
He looked like a fish that suddenly found itself out of the water and was in unchartered territories.
His mouth sharpened and he stammered, "W....What...why....what?"
"What role did you play in my accident?" Caishen asked directly.
Wang Yong’s eyes went wide in shock and his hands started shaking. If he had been holding a drink, he would have spilled it in that moment.
"I..I..." he stammered again.
Caishen sneered and laughed softly. "Save the excuses Wang Yong because we already know that you were involved. We would not have called you here if our investigation was not deep enough. We know all about the loans, the life insurance policies, you and a bunch of thugs cased that bridged for weeks before my accident. The answers you give us today will decide your fate. What is your relationship with Dahei trust or Dahei insurance?"
Wang Yong shook his head and his hands. "No, no, really no."
"We know that Dahei trust owns forty five percent of your company." Bo informed him. He tossed a couple of documents at Wang Yong. freewebnσvel.cѳm
It was useless for him to deny anything at this point because they knew everything, almost everything.
Wang Yong’s eyes widened again and this time round it was for another reason. He was looking through the documents with shock in his eyes. Like a blind rat, he stumbled from one document to another and picked up the ones which had fallen on the ground.
"Tch! he didn’t know." Bo looked at Caishen and he chuckled dryly. "What kind of idiot are you? How are you related to us if you are this dense? Your company is being gobbled up slowly and you didn’t even realize it."
"How?" Wang Yong whispered.
"Did you really graduate among the top students at your university or did you cheat? Ooh, he is an idiot, a moron." Bo further dug in.
It was clear to see that Wang Yong was being used but he had been greedy, desperate or both and put himself in a position to be used. The person that was using him was aiming for Caishen.
Caishen leaned forward and asked him, "So what’s the plan? Grandpa has been totting around the idea of your company becoming part of the Zhang group. Is this how you were going to bring the enemy into our house?"
Wang Yong shook his head desperately, denying the accusations.
"That was not my idea, grandfather wants me to work in the family business. He says that it’s not economical for us to be in competition with each other."
Zhang Bo could have cared less about Wang Yong’s company. As the acting chairman of the Zhang group, he had no plans of allowing it become a part of the family business. "You are answering the questions about the company but not the accident. Let’s get to the real business before i beat you up and welcome you the Zhang family the proper way. We are both holding back from breaking your legs and tossing you in the middle of the sea, somewhere in international waters where your body will never be found."
As an actor, Zhang Bo could pull off the dark and menacing aura so easily. It wasn’t difficult for anyone to believe that he had done something dreadful like this before.
Wang Yong blurted out in a scared voice. "It’s the loan sharks, they said they would eliminate the interest if i kept an eye on your movements and shared with them as much information as possible. But, I had no idea that they would try to kill you. Not until after the accident and by then, i couldn’t tell anyone because they threatened to kill me and my family."
He looked from Caishen to Bo with desperation. "Pictures," He blurted out. "They had pictures of me at the place where the accident happened. I had planted a bag there the night before your accident at their request. I didn’t know what was in the bag. But the next day, the bridge collapsed and all those people died..." he whispered and reached for the bottle of wine. "They said i would go to prison for all their deaths and i got scared, so scared."
