The myriad of great powers within the Primordial Heaven and Earth were holding the wedding invitation from the Heavenly Court, each with a different reaction.

Ancestral Witch Hall at Mount Buzhou.

"I spit it right in his face, thinking it was some important matter! Those two flat-haired beasts actually have the gall to send us a wedding invitation. And those two on the Taiyin Star, why did they only fancy those two billion-year-old birds on the Sun Star? What a sheer waste!" Zhu Rong, looking at the jade wedding invitation at the center of the table, cursed disdainfully.

"Heavenly Marriage? Hmph, this is indeed a novel event. When Primordial cultivators find Daoist couples, they just live together, that’s all. I’ve never seen anyone make such a big fuss about it. This Demon Emperor and East Emperor really know how to put on a show; now the whole Primordial Land can’t have peace." Rushou, stroking his chin, commented bitterly.

"These Di Jun and Taiyi actually dare to send us invitations, aren’t they afraid we’ll cause an uproar at their wedding feast?" Qiang Liang suddenly let out a sly laugh, his expression filled with excitement.

"Hmph, do you really think Di Jun and Taiyi are fools? Our Witch Tribe, being on the guest list of the Heavenly Court, implies other Primordial great powers are certainly invited as well. If we were to make trouble during these two old birds’ wedding, let alone whether we can retreat unscathed from among thousands of Demon Clan great powers, just leaving a bad impression in the eyes of all the great powers is not something we can afford!" Zhu Jiuyin scoffed in an irritated tone.

"Second brother, it’s like they’re flaunting the Demon Race’s prestige, overshadowing us!" Gonggong, usually hot-tempered, was unusually calm at this moment.

Meanwhile, the Heaven and Earth Taoist, who had been silent with closed eyes, suddenly opened his blood-colored eyes and spoke hoarsely, "Go, of course we must go! And not just that, we have to prepare generous gifts!"

Three Pure Ones Hall on Kunlun Mountain.

"Big brother, those two fellows really know how to play their cards!" Primordial Venerable commented calmly with his usual unshakable serious expression as he looked at the invitation in his hands.

"Ha-ha-ha, that’s even better! Even though the selection of marriages for Heaven, Earth, and Man is destined by Heaven, once they are wed, wouldn’t my precious disciple and Yu Ding, my nephew in spirit, have a good chance at their own union?" Tongtian guffawed.

"That Zhunti Daoist and Jieyin Taoist are probably going to be tortured by this situation again!" Laozi stroked his beard and looked towards the West.

Sure enough, as readers might wonder, what does Zhunti care about Di Jun and Taiyi’s Heavenly Marriage?

The reason is nothing else but the poverty of the West! After a Dragon Han Calamity and a thorough cleansing by both The Three Pure Ones and the Netherworld River, the West has virtually lost all its spiritual roots. As for Spiritual Treasures, they are even scarcer, with only Jieyin and Zhunti having obtained a few during the treasure division on the Treasure Division Cliff many years ago.

Now invited to the Heavenly Court by the Demon Emperor to attend the ceremony, Jieyin and Zhunti, being revered Saints, ought to present a few Spiritual Treasures as congratulatory gifts regardless. However, this dilemma was causing both Jieyin and Zhunti considerable distress!

With Jieyin’s face already turning grim enough to drip with despair, Zhunti’s expression was just as gloomy, looking at the invitation before them in silence for a long time. Internally, they were agonizing over which Spiritual Treasure to give away, and Zhunti’s heart was bleeding as he deliberated. Any less Spiritual Treasure meant one less resource for the revival of the West!

But then, Zhunti came up with an idea. Instead of going himself, he could send Mile in his stead. Wouldn’t that save the Spiritual Treasures? Just give away a few trinkets and who would blame a junior?

Delighted with this idea, Zhunti shared it with Jieyin, and the two Saints struck an agreement.

Alas, only Zhunti and Jieyin would pull off such a thing. But would sending Mile turn out as the two Saints expected?

...

Waiting for eighteen hundred years, it seemed excessively long for the four anxious soon-to-be newlyweds. Regardless, the long-anticipated day finally arrived amid the hopeful gazes of countless onlookers.

On this day, the convergence of the Sun and Moon marked the auspicious hour. Usually, sunrise and moonset were but fleeting moments. Yet for the joy of the Sun and Taiyin today, both Sun and Moon deliberately lingered an additional hour. The Sun was about to rise in the east, not yet risen; the Moon was about to set in the west, not yet set. The Sun and Moon shone together, bringing clarity across Heaven and Earth, and all living beings in Primordial saw this unprecedented spectacle!

"Dong! Dong! Dong!"

Auspicious clouds obscured the sky, enveloping the heavens in a divine aura, while radiant light filled the firmament, and purple mists spread from the East.

Taiyi struck the Chaos Bell, declaring to All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds that today was indeed an auspicious day for the two Emperors of the Demon Court to be wed.

It was seen that upon the South Heavenly Gate, Pingyu Jia Yitian lifted a golden rainbow bridge that spanned the sky, cutting directly through the Gang Wind Layer and the Meteorite Belt, reaching towards the distant Taiyin Star.

Leading the way up the golden rainbow was the matchmaker, Lady Nuwa, seated on a magnificent Phoenix Chariot. Four vibrantly red Phoenixes fluttered up and down around it, enhancing Lady Nuwa’s grace and dignity. Following her were two extravagantly adorned Nine Heavens Nine Phoenix Chariots, upon which Di Jun and Taiyi were seated respectively. The chariots were adorned with fragrant silk parasols and Sun and Moon Banner, exceedingly luxurious. Carved upon the carriage poles were the Moon Rabbit and the Golden Crow, vivid and lifelike.

Following them were Kunpeng and Bai Ze, two great powers of the Demon Race. Both demons were dressed in bright red festive robes, sitting high atop ivory-colored auspicious clouds, their faces beaming with joy. Lastly were the few remaining Demon Clan Saints and the Four Sea Dragon Kings of the Dragon Clan. Behind them, more than ten thousand Daluo Golden Immortal-level demons followed, beating drums and gongs, heading towards the Taiyin Star in a majestic procession.

About an hour later, the bridal procession arrived at the Taiyin Star. Li Qingming and the Moon God Wang Shu had been standing by the entrance of the Guanghan Palace early on, quietly watching the magnificent procession. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Lady Nuwa, with her sharp eyes, noticed how close Wang Shu and Li Qingming were, and a hint of discomfort flashed through her heart. After descending from the Phoenix Chariot, everyone exchanged pleasantries. Li Qingming instructed Xin Zihan to call upon Xi He and Chang Xi, both dressed in red bridal attire.

Looking at these two who would be one of the spokespersons of Heavenly Court in the future, Li Qingming couldn’t help but be filled with myriad emotions. He took out the Sun Wheel and the Starry Rainbow Robe that he had refined and handed them to the two demons.

Li Qingming said, "These Moon Wheel and Starry Rainbow Robe should have appeared when you first transformed, but heaven did not accommodate our desires. When you transformed, due to a lack of Taiyin Qi from the Moon Laurel Tree, they could not be born. It could only be postponed for thousands of years to emerge from the hands of this poor Daoist! These two Spiritual Treasures should rightfully belong to you; take them!"

Xi He and Chang Xi exchanged a glance, accepted the two Spiritual Treasures from Li Qingming, and suddenly curtsied to him, saying, "Thank you, son-in-law, for the treasures!"

"Eh?" Li Qingming’s eyes nearly bulged out in surprise, and he couldn’t help but turn to Wang Shu.

Wang Shu’s face turned red when she first heard the two demons.

Li Qingming laughed awkwardly and said, "You should take these two Spiritual Treasures and refine them well, they’ll also serve as a protection for your lives!"

Xi He and Chang Xi nodded, then knelt before Wang Shu and said, "My lady, now that your servants will not be by your side, we wish you utmost care!"

Wang Shu, trying to suppress her shyness, helped the two women up and gently wiped the tears from their faces, saying, "Go ahead, Qingming and I will see you off together!"

Emperor Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi had already alighted from the chariot, and each took the hand of the still melancholic Xi He and Chang Xi, ascending the Nine Dragons and Nine Phoenix Chariot.

Li Qingming waved his hand, and a tide-drawn carriage with an ancient design yet elegantly decorated appeared in front of the crowd.

Li Qingming, holding Wang Shu’s hand, and Xin Zihan, who reverted to its original form and was cradled single-handedly by Wang Shu, floated onto the carriage. Suddenly, a bright light burst forth in front of the carriage yoke. Xiong Da, who was back on the East Kunlun’s back mountain fighting over roast chicken with the Four Unlikes and Kui Ox, was summoned by Li Qingming through ripped space.

The amiable Xiong Da looked around irritably before seeing Li Qingming, and his anger subsided as he cheerfully ran to the side of the carriage and said in a deep voice, "Master, you’ve disappeared for thousands of years, I’ve become so thin with worry!"

Li Qingming teased, looking at the grease on the corner of Xiong Da’s mouth through the carriage yoke, "Oh, have you? You seem quite plump lately!"

Wang Shu, leaning on Li Qingming’s shoulder, chuckled silently behind her hand.

Xiong Da clumsily lifted a paw to wipe his mouth and said, "Hehe, what does Master need Xiong Da for this time?"

Li Qingming pointed to the front of the carriage and said, "Go, pull the carriage!"

Fearful of Li Qingming’s reprimand for laziness, Xiong Da raced over. The tide-drawn carriage yoke automatically fitted onto Xiong Da. With a light flap of his small wings, Xiong Da steadily lifted the carriage alongside Lady Nuwa’s Phoenix Chariot.

Wang Shu glanced at Xiong Da, who was energetically performing in front, and laughed, "Qingming, is this the lazy mount you often talk about? Only you would dare to use a Quasi-Saint level Great Demon as a mount. No other Great Ability would have the guts!"

Li Qingming flicked the reins lightly, tapping it on Xiong Da’s broad and sturdy back, "Hmph, since this fellow is unwilling to take human form, let it forever be a mount!"

Lady Nuwa, witnessing the banter between Li Qingming and Wang Shu, felt somewhat jealous. But as she had no close relationship with Li Qingming, even if she was envious, what could she do?

The grand bridal procession took another hour to hurry back to the South Heavenly Gate. By now, Heavenly Court was even more festively decorated, and the atmosphere was filled with celebration everywhere.

In the Palace of the Polestar, a place originally meant for discussing important matters, had already been arranged with jade tables and stools by Fu Xi, and the tables were filled with all kinds of Spiritual Roots and Immortal Fruits, as well as the Jade Dew and Jade Liquid treasured by Heavenly Court for many years. An array of fragrant scents filled the whole hall!

When the two pairs of newlyweds, hand in hand, entered the Palace of the Polestar under the escort of the demons, Brother Zeng and the crowd of Heavenly Court demons cheered and erupted in excitement.

At this moment, the first group of Primordial Immortals who had come to congratulate Emperor Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi arrived outside South Heavenly Gate.

And across All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds, anyone with the capability to ascend to Heavenly Court had the opportunity to attend this Heavenly Marriage. However, whether or not they could see the two Demon Clan Emperors was another matter. But to receive an invitation from Demon Court was also an ultimate honor.
