The Beautiful CEO's Dragon Blood Bodyguard-Chapter 38 - 00 Everyone Has Their Own Scheme
38: Chapter 0038 Everyone Has Their Own Scheme
38 -0038 Everyone Has Their Own Scheme
The night had fallen, and around eight o’clock, Chu Feng somehow wandered over, sitting in a red sports car.
When he got out, he even planted a kiss on a woman’s face.
This woman was heavily made up, plump, and looked to be in her thirties or forties.
However, her skin was quite fair.
She wore a strappy dress that left half her chest exposed.
Long Fei clicked his tongue, not understanding how Chu Feng could even go for such a woman, truly indifferent to all tastes.
If other women were considered prime cuts, this woman was a pork knuckle.
After entering, the guy greeted Long Fei and, wrapping an arm around him from behind, asked, “How’s it going, you little rascal?”
Seeing Chu Feng, Yang Huo and Steel Hoop hurriedly greeted him, “This must be Brother Chu Feng, right?”
They were just about to leave after finishing the handover.
Long Fei said he was waiting for a friend and took the opportunity to introduce Chu Feng to them, briefly recounting Chu Feng’s heroic deeds.
They were astonished to hear it; they couldn’t believe that the Chu Feng who Zhang Li had been calling out all day was actually the new security guard in the company.
Being security guards themselves, they sized up Chu Feng, thinking of the way he had hopped out of the sports car, and both felt like kneeling before him.
In flattery, they grabbed some disposable cups, urged Chu Feng to sit down, and promptly served him tea and water.
Long Fei, with a smile, suggested they go chat with the brothers on the night shift first.
He and Chu Feng talked about the daytime shift, both feeling quite frustrated.
Chuckling, Chu Feng said to him, “Actually, I knew about this already, I just wanted to test your adaptability!”
“Get lost!”
Long Fei glared at him, agitated, “I’m getting crap from Zhang Li because of you, and you can’t even give me a heads up about such an important matter?”
Chu Feng took a sip of tea, handed him a cigarette, and said with a light smile, “Easy there.
Isn’t this a piece of cake for you?
They’re just three thugs from the streets.
I thought you would have broken their legs by today; I didn’t expect you to hold back!”
Leaning back in his chair, Long Fei sighed, “I haven’t even seen that wife yet; I have to endure what I must!”
“Hero!”
Raising his tea cup toward him, Chu Feng toasted, “Here’s to you!”
“Get lost with that!”
Long Fei smiled, teasingly saying to him, “Zhang Li said she’s forgiven you.
Don’t hide from her anymore!”
Chu Feng replied seriously, “Don’t believe a word that woman says.
She’s retreating to advance, deliberately luring me into a trap!”
“Fine, like I never said anything!”
Long Fei stood up, ready to leave.
Chu Feng hastily said, “Sit down.
I still want to chat with you for a while!
I’ve missed you terribly after not seeing you for a day!”
Long Fei joked, “No thanks, buddy, I’m straight and don’t have any such habits.
You should keep working; I’m off to have a drink!”
He went to the security room, calling out Yang Huo and Steel Hoop to join him.
Chu Feng smiled as he saw them off, finished a cigarette outside, and went into the security room to get to know his new colleagues.
On the main street, cars came and went, bustling with activity.
Long Fei and the other two walked side by side on the sidewalk, chatting casually.
Yang Huo and Steel Hoop were locals, five or six years older than Long Fei.
They didn’t study much in their early years, ended up at a vocational school, and after graduating, they both joined the company as security guards.
Like Long Fei, they rented rooms outside South City Outer Third Ring, not far from Binhai University.
Housing in the city was too expensive for them to afford.
They were somewhat better off than Long Fei, commuting to work on electric scooters.
Long Fei rode a bicycle.
The three chatted leisurely as they walked until they reached the area near Yang Huo and the hoop games, where they found a barbecue stand and sat outside.
Lamb skewers, draft beer.
This was the typical post-work entertainment for the lower classes in Binhai.
Binhai beer was famous nationwide.
The bottled kind actually wasn’t very good, but the draft was tasty.
The beer at this barbecue joint was home-brewed, pure grain.
It was refreshing and cool in the mouth, with a hint of barley.
The three clinked glasses, and after gulping down their beers, both Yang Huo and the hoop tosser wiped their mouths and gave Long Fei a thumbs-up, saying, “Bro, we have to hand it to you.
You’re more badass than us, daring to stand up to Bald Nie on your first day of work.
For that, we’re gonna drink another round in your honor!”
They had probably suffered a lot under Bald Nie.
The distress was evident on their faces as they lifted their beers and downed them in one go.
The owner brought over the lamb skewers, and each grabbed one to eat.
Long Fei curiously asked the two, “Tell me, does Director Lin or the chairman know about the awful thing Bald Nie did to Old Zhang’s wife?”
The two exchanged glances and smiled before explaining, “Big bro, Lin’s Group’s headquarters, along with its branches and factories, has a total of thirty or forty thousand employees!
What seems big to us is nothing to them!
As long as nobody loses their life, nobody really cares!”
Long Fei frowned and said, “So, there’s no one who can deal with Bald Nie?”
Yang Huo and the hoop tosser looked at each other and flattered, “Oh, there is now, even though there wasn’t before.
We can tell, now that you, Brother Long, are here, Nie Dayong is sure to be booted out.
Captain Zheng Dahai has had it in for him for a long time but just dared not fire them.
With you here, as long as you form an alliance with the captain and get his backing, firing Bald Nie will just be a matter of time!
Anyway, in a nutshell, we brothers support you unconditionally from behind.”
Long Fei chuckled lightly, said nothing in response, and just raised his glass to toast with them.
They were jumping around here and even invited him for a drink.
Long Fei could see that they just wanted to use him to drive away Nie Dayong and the others, or even to have him and Bald Nie’s group fight to mutual destruction.
In the end, both he and Bald Nie’s group would be sent packing.
And when the company hired new people, these two veterans would move up in ranks.
He had just read an article on his phone saying in the workplace there are no friends, only interests.
Today, Long Fei had his first taste of that.
After the three finished their drinks, Yang Huo and the hoop tosser reluctantly went to settle the bill.
They had eaten over two hundred yuan worth of food and had to dig around in their pockets for quite a while before paying the owner.
They smoked a cigarette with Long Fei and kept calling him brother, pretending to bemoan the late acquaintance, and only parted ways after a long time.
After Long Fei had gone, the two ordered a bowl of fried noodles from the owner and started eating again.
The hoop tosser asked Yang Huo, “Do you think after all the flattery we dished out today, the kid will take himself for a hero and go to war with Bald Nie and his gang?”
Yang Huo smirked sinisterly, “Don’t worry, this kid isn’t all that naive.
He’s already clashed with Bald Nie and his cronies today; a battle is inevitable sooner or later!”
The hoop tosser laughed and said, “That’s great then, let them fight it out!
No matter who wins, we won’t get hurt.
And if the company fires them all, we might even have a chance to rise up!”
“Exactly what I was thinking!”
Yang Huo then exhaled a puff of smoke, looking quite pleased with himself.
When the owner served their fried noodles, he tossed his cigarette butt and cursed, “Damn, we treated him to over a hundred yuan’s worth, and he didn’t even offer to pay!”
The hoop tosser chimed in, “Exactly, the guy’s really stingy!”
He picked up his chopsticks and started competing with Yang Huo for the fried noodles.
Since they had split the cost, eating less meant losing out.
