The Beautiful Boss's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 348
Chapter 348: 348
"Cough cough, hello, is this He Biandan... Did something happen to my brother?" Ye Tian is about ten years younger than He Biandan, almost close enough to be brothers.
"Who is He Ku?"
"There’s no He Ku here."
Ye Tian answered quickly; the police were clearly here for He Ku. He had already experienced the police’s severity last time; if they were to deal with a child alone this time, it’s unclear what might happen.
Seeing Ye Tian speak, the policeman just glanced at He Ku again and then said, "He Zixuan is involved in a deliberate murder case and is currently detained by the police. Please assist us with the investigation, come with us."
"Mr. Policeman, please watch your tone and wording. First, if you want me to assist with the investigation, is this assisting or investigating? Second, taking me back, does that mean I’m officially arrested?"
The policeman was taken aback; having been a policeman for many years, they usually encountered people who, upon seeing the police, would cry out injustice and tremble with fear. They had never seen someone able to enumerate points and have the police answer questions. In the nick of time, another policeman stepped forward to defuse the situation, "Sir, we mean no harm; we just want to understand some information about He Zixuan. Also, don’t worry too much about your brother; we know he’s just a water delivery worker, with little motive for murder. There are many doubts about this case. However, if you don’t cooperate, it will cause many troubles, so please cooperate with the investigation."
This sounded somewhat reasonable, but Ye Tian could see that the relationship between these two speaking policemen didn’t seem very good; at least, the first policeman seemed somewhat resentful toward the latter.
"Fine, I’ll go with you. Gang, take good care of Grandpa."
He Ku nodded smartly, grabbing Old Liu’s hand. Ye Tian nodded and walked away with the policemen.
While walking, Ye Tian asked the policemen about things concerning He Biandan; not talking about it was fine, but once he did, he realized he knew all the people involved in the case.
The victim was Zhou Aiguo’s son’s girlfriend, named Lili; the police said she was a shampoo girl, Lili was her pseudonym, her real name was Chen Lijuan, and she was from Shanxi. The person who reported the crime was her boyfriend, Zhou Xiaogang.
Chen Lijuan, Zhou Xiaogang, He Zixuan, the three seemed interconnected. Yet, Ye Tian felt something was off. Upon thinking deeply, this case couldn’t stand scrutiny, most notably concerning He Biandan. To speak bluntly, he was exhausted from delivering water daily; where would he find the energy to commit murder?
When Ye Tian raised this question, he was immediately shut down by the policeman beside him, "Where do you get off talking so much nonsense! Do you know how complicated this case is? Talkative people die quickly; I advise you not to get involved in this mess."
"Hey, Old Yang, you’re wrong here. It’s a good sign in a legal society when the public is concerned about the case; you’re really crushing the public’s enthusiasm for building a legal society. Right, Spade?"
The other policeman who had been silent until now smiled and nodded, seemingly reluctant to get involved in the dispute between the two, further clarifying the relationship between these three persons to Ye Tian. The one called Old Yang sitting on his left seemed more interested in He Ku, while the one on the right, nicknamed Spade, appeared young, probably newly joined or at least a rookie. The one driving was different; he spoke measuredly and precisely, clearly not someone anyone could easily compare with.
"Brother, I didn’t get your name yet."
Ye Tian smiled while offering a cigarette, "I’m Ye Tian. Have one. Heh, all I have left are Red Diamonds."
"The Driver" didn’t mind, took the cigarette and put it in his mouth, "Brother, you’re not being honest, aren’t you He Zixuan’s brother? Why don’t you share a last name?"
Old Yang quickly reacted, his expression turning displeased, "Are you trying to provide false testimony?"
"He Zixuan is my cousin, three generations removed, a distant relative."
"The Driver" chuckled, "That’s what I thought. Here, brother, lend me a light."
Ye Tian handed over the lighter, glanced left and right, not sure where they were as it seemed they were on a highway. When the lighter returned to his hands, Ye Tian asked, "Comrade, where are we headed?",
"The Public Security Bureau, where else did you think?"
"Why are we on the highway? Isn’t there one in the district?"
"That’s just a local police station; this is a major case, so we need to go to the bureau."
"Where’s He Zixuan?"
"Stop asking so many questions!" Old Yang glared at Ye Tian and flashed his handcuffs, "Keep it up, and I’ll cuff you!"
In the rearview mirror, "The Driver’s" face had lost its warmth, and it became stern. The Red Diamond in his mouth silently smoked, the cigarette tip glowing and dimming intermittently, burning slowly.
The mood in the car turned somewhat heavy; everyone began to stay silent, including the usually easy-going driver policeman.
"Comrade, please stop the car."
"What’s wrong?"
"I need to pee."
"We’ll be there in ten minutes; just hold it."
Bullshit! He hadn’t checked the time, and he didn’t have a watch or a digital clock in the car. How would he know it was ten minutes away?
Ye Tian began to squirm, his expression worsening, "Ouch, no, I really can’t hold it anymore. If I do it in your car, I’m not responsible." ƒгeewёbnovel.com
The driver policeman laughed, "Alright. If you can do it, just do it!"
The policeman on the left snorted coldly, Ye Tian heard it and also saw the coldness in the rearview mirror in the driver policeman’s eyes.
This is the real tough guy!
"How about it, not going anymore?"
The policeman on the left sneered, "Do it quickly if you’re going to; after this village, there won’t be this shop."
Fuck you mother!
Ye Tian lifted his arm, elbow striking; the rookie policeman on his right was hit in the nose, tilted his head, and passed out.
At this point, Ye Tian didn’t care about any strategy of capturing the leader first. The positioning of the three people was optimal; his left hand’s strength, skill, and sense of direction were much weaker than his right, and it just so happened that Old Yang was sitting on his left. After knocking out the rookie policeman, Ye Tian immediately received a heavy punch.
The punch came with a whistling sound, not much weaker than his own elbow strike just now. His head immediately swayed, and the scene before his eyes blurred. Ye Tian inwardly sighed, months without fighting, and his reflexes had dulled.
