Chapter 223: Frustration (2)

"Why?" Nathan frowned. "I’m not a weak magic warrior, Brother! I can still handle..."

"I don’t want you to be targeted again," the Green Family Patriarch said lightly and then sat down. "There are people who leak out the missions and it’s an insider job. Before this matter is settled, you’re not allowed to go out."

"But..."

"SIlas couldn’t appear at all time to protect you."

Nathan was silent.

He had to admit that even though he had advanced to rank 6 recently, his rank was unstable and his power was only comparable to rank 5. The previous situation was indeed very dangerous and Nathan himself was not sure whether it was possible for him to escape unscathed.

At that time, he was already desperately protecting Nisa and Silas’s appearance was very timely.

But the main reason why Silas was there was because of his students taking missions. Otherwise, it would have been impossible for Silas to be there and help Nathan.

Even then, it was such a dangerous situation because Silas had to leave his students to reach his place in time. His students were not as fast as Silas and they were also not as powerful as him. If Silas had brought them over, it would have been too late.

"Fine," Nathan finally compromised. "But only for a short time."

If he were to stay in Wansu City at all times, Nathan wouldn’t be able to get stronger at all and Nathan couldn’t accept this. He still wanted to go out and practice so that he could get stronger and create a better future with Nisa.

"Good." the Green Family Patriarch smiled. He sat down and thought for a moment. "You can still take lower ranked missions if you want to."

"They’re just a waste of time." Nathan shook his head.

Those missions might be useful for lower ranked magic warriors but for Nathan, those were useless. He only wanted to take higher missions to gather enough money and experience. These missions were chicken ribs in exchange.

"How about taking students?" The Green Family Patriarch looked at his younger brother. The task of guiding students could be taken by those who were capable enough, minimum at rank 5 magic warrior. Nathan had long surpassed this requirement and could take this mission if he wanted to.

But taking students mission were not mandatory.

They could take it if they wanted to but if they didn’t want to, no one would force them. Unless the city was in dire straits and had to recruit more students, then some people might be asked to become teachers.

Back then, Silas was also asked to become a teacher because there were more ghosts around and Wansu City hoped they could grow up quickly.

But growing up quickly doesn’t mean they would let these little geniuses be assassinated in advance. Moreover, the reason for them to be able to assassinate was also outrageous. Someone directly sold out the information of these children’s location.

Naturally, many people were angry.

"No. I’m not suitable to be a teacher," Nathan refused.

He had some ability and could go out to take more difficult missions. But if he had to teach students then Nathan would refuse vehemently. He didn’t want to take care of the students and be bothered like Silas. It was enough for him to spend the day with Nisa.

When Nathan thought about his girlfriend, a smile would appear on his face.

Seeing Nathan’s appearance, the Green Family Patriarch could guess what Nathan was thinking and rolled his eyes. "Fine. But I hope that you can take care of Aya in the next period of time."

"Ah? Who?" Nathan turned to look at the Green Family Patriarch in confusion. "What do you mean taking care of Aya?"

"Aya White."

"I know, Silas’s student, right?" Nathan furrowed his eyebrows. "You’re not thinking of letting her train with me, are you? She’s more powerful than me in terms of physical strength alone."

He could still remember the spar he had with Aya when his teacher, Nelia, was still around. At that time, Nathan was amazed because he could sense that Aya really has powerful physical strength, even comparable to his teacher.

If he was not careful enough, he would be beaten up badly by her.

"Yes. Fourth Head planned to let her do personal missions but before that, she had to recuperate from her injuries. During this period of time, you can try to protect her lest there are some people who want to harm her," the Green Family Patriarch replied.

"Harm her?" Nathan was confused.

"Yes." the Green Family Patriarch sighed.

Since he was the Fourth Head of the Wansu City’s student, the Green Family Patriarch knew some things that many other people didn’t know. One of them was naturally the fact that the internal situation in Wansu City was not so peaceful.

Some of them cared more about their own benefit than other things.

This caused the situation in Wansu City to turn for the worst and there were many people who couldn’t wait but to make a lot of troubles.

"Who?" Nathan frowned.

He was sure that if Silas were to know someone was going to harm his students, he wouldn’t stay silent. Nathan had already seen how much Silas cared for his students during the mission. This made him feel that Silas grew attached to his students and cared for them greatly.

It was actually a good thing but thinking that Silas’s students might also be targeted by others because of their identity, Nathan could guess that it wouldn’t be so easy.

"You don’t have to know who it is." the Green Family Patriarch shook his head. "All I want to ask is whether you’re willing to take this job or not."

"Heh, of course I’ll take it." Nathan rolled his eyes. "I can’t let Silas’s disciples died."

Besides, it would be a pity if a genius were to perish halfway before they could truly realize their potential. They were all members of Wansu City and Nathan felt that there was nothing wrong with him protecting someone from the younger generation.

Anyway, it would only be for a short period of time.

After this, he could go out and spend his time with Nisa again.

When Nathan thought about this, he nodded internally.

"Good."

After that, the two of them didn’t talk anymore and Nathan went out. He wanted to go back and rested. On the other hand, the Green Family Patriarch looked in the direction where his younger brother left and his eyes flashed slightly.

Those who dared to try killing his brother, he would never let them off so easily.
