Stormwind Wizard God-Chapter 483: Chance
Chapter 483 - Chance
Unlike Second War before Duke traveled through time, that was an era of hot weapons.
In this era dominated by cold weapons, Duke made many improvements to the Panzer IV.
For example, there are spikes and horns on the front of the car, and a steel triangular tip similar to an icebreaker installed near the chassis.
Duke originally wanted to use armor closer to the ground to protect the wheels and tracks on both sides of the vehicle, just like a tank. But the dwarf master craftsman Gelbin asked, why not install razors like a horse-drawn chariot?
As a result, there were more than a dozen long steel spikes extending from the wheel bearings on both sides. When the chariot was moving at high speed, anyone who easily approached the side of the chariot would definitely be cut in half by the high-speed rolling steel spikes.
The back of the chariot is where the dwarves get on, so it has relatively little protection. That's only relative. There are more than 10 small holes on the rear deck, and even if they are not used to it, the dwarves can still shoot out through the holes and use spears to teach the guys outside a lesson.
These No. 4 tanks, which were both offensive and defensive and could move at high speed, easily broke the orcs' formation into pieces. The only ogres that could pose a threat to the No. 4 tanks were killed one by one by Duke's Windrunner Rangers.
Following closely behind the Panzer IV was the simpler open-top armored vehicle.
These hastily made armored vehicles did not have the same strong assault capability as the Type IV tank, nor were they equipped with mortars. As a supplement to the Type IV tank, twelve dwarf musketeers and twelve grenadiers were arranged on the upper deck of the armored vehicles.
What they threw were, of course, the iron grenades that Duke had widely used when defending Stormwind City.
This crude engineering product is not very effective in dealing with orc warriors, but it is quite effective against armed orc laborers.
Even if the Dark Iron Dwarves fully support the Horde, they cannot have so many resources to put full body armor on 250,000 orcs at once. After all, only a few can wear full body armor. Those who work hard only get a fairly sharp iron weapon each. These people don't even have shoes, which is equivalent to the existence of slaves. How can they defend themselves against the fragments of iron grenades?
Three hundred chariots and five hundred armored vehicles advanced from the right wing, plowing the entire left wing of the orcs like a plough. Following closely behind were the 40,000 dwarf commandos who were frantically finishing off the orcs.
Finally, unable to withstand the unknown horror, the orcs' left wing completely collapsed and began to flee. The orcs' army was not as clearly divided as the human army. When they fought, they would rush forward in a swarm. So the orcs' left wing was also the left wing of the entire army.
This wavering directly affected Orgrim, who was still fighting on the front line.
After knocking five human warriors flying with one hammer, Orgrim noticed that the orcs on the left wing were suddenly fewer in number.
When he turned around, he saw a scene that made him furious.
The warriors of the Horde are fleeing! ?
No, not just the left wing. Orgrim also saw that the huge iron lumps of the dwarves had already killed through the entire left wing and began to turn around, already going around to the rear of the entire tribal army. It seemed that within twenty minutes, they would kill through the entire tribal army, entering from the left wing and exiting from the right wing.
No one knew better than Orgrim what it meant to have an entire formation wiped out by the Alliance.
They fought countless battles with the Alliance, and every time the Alliance cavalry broke through the Horde's formation, the Horde would suffer the bitter fruit of defeat.
"What are the other chieftains doing!?" Orgrim roared.
He suddenly saw that the chief of a second-rate clan began to gather a large group of orc warriors, carrying huge tree trunks, and seemed to be preparing to attack those huge iron lumps.
Then...
"Boom!" With a loud bang, a large cloud of black smoke came out from the largest iron lump.
A second later, the group of at least three hundred orc warriors were all blown into the sky in the form of limb parts.
"What is this!?" Orgrim was stunned.
It's not like he hadn't seen the dwarves' strange and bizarre gadgets that had little practical value, but he had never seen such a terrifying war machine.
Is it newly made?
Or have the dwarves been hiding and enduring until now?
Unknown things always make people afraid.
One after another, the orc clans began to collapse and flee. Even though the orc trumpeters were still blowing the attack horns hard, they still tried to rush back to the Blackrock Fortress three kilometers away like they had lost their minds.
In their hearts, that is the only truly safe haven.
This is the orcs' nightmare.
"No! Come back! You bunch of cowardly trash!" Orgrim roared heartbreakingly, but unfortunately in this noisy battlefield, his voice could only be heard a hundred meters away because his voice was loud enough.
Over there, as if seeing hope, the soldiers of the Alliance began to run back. The commanders of the Alliance held up their flags, and the defeated soldiers continued to gather under the flags that symbolized courage. Even though they were wearing different armors and holding different types of shields, new human phalanxes appeared one after another.
Not only that, Orgrim saw the light of the portal above the human rear formation, and those mages who frightened the orcs the most began to re-enter the battlefield.
The magnificent magic brilliance reappears.
Pouring down on the Orc battle lines on the front line that had already lost their edge.
"Ah—no!"
"Ancestor! Where are you? Please protect me!"
"For the Horde...ah!"
This is a collapse of morale and the collapse of the orcs' only path to victory.
"No! I won't give in!" Orgrim roared like a madman.
Victory...Victory was so close, as if it was within reach. It was clearly right before my eyes, but why did it vanish in the blink of an eye?
Or was it unrealistic to expect the Horde to occupy the entire planet of Azeroth from the beginning? What happened to you, the invincible Horde, the Horde that once dominated the entire world?
Didn't the Draenei create a lot of weird things back then?
So what?
Didn't the Horde win anyway?
Why did this familiar smell of victory begin to drift away from the Horde since they set foot on this land in another world?
Orgrim still remembered the atmosphere before the expedition - the bravest warriors of each clan led the young orcs to the expedition, telling them about the heritage of the Horde and the belief that they would win. They fought bravely and conquered one enemy after another.
It was so five years ago, a hundred years ago, and thousands and thousands of years ago.
I thought this belief would last forever and be passed down from generation to generation.
This time, the power inherited from the ancestors should also be the power passed down to the orcs' descendants.
Why have these young orcs forgotten this courage now?
Orgrim's eyes widened with anger. He was unwilling to give in. He was still looking for the last chance to turn the tables!
Suddenly, he thought, he had found it!
