Pokemon - A real story-Chapter 842: Poison Run Theory

"Let me start first and tell you that I have yet to fully mastered this move. I have only mastered half of it."

"What do you mean? Axel said that you have already mastered this move."

"No, I have not and I will tell you the reason why."

" 'Poison run' is a very complicated move. You need to actually focus on 2 things before you can truly master this move. I have not even thought about upgrading this move till now. That will come later and it took me almost a year to reach this point."

Today, Nidoking was training with John's Toxtricity and it was trying to learn 'Poison run'. One of the directions of Nidoking's poison core was to enhance its body through poison and it had been trying to come up with the idea of it.

Axel and Nidoking were focusing on enhancing its defense through poison and even though Nidoking knew 'Poison manipulation' it had not been able to do it till now.

Then, on the day of the battle, Axel found out that John's Toxtricity knew the move 'Poison run' which helps it to increase its agility by manipulating poison. This was a body enhancement using poison. So, Axel instructed both of them to train together, so that Nidoking could learn the move 'Poison run'.

"You are not losing out from this exchange. I will tell Meg to teach your Pokemon about 'Poison manipulation'. Though, it would depend if it could learn it as it is a very complicated.", said Axel to John and John agreed.

John had no problem letting his Pokemon teach a new move to Axel's Nidoking. Now, Axel had promised that Nidoking would teach his Pokemon a passive move. So, he was the one benefitting from it.

Nidoking had been training other Pokemons in the poison team about 'Poison manipulation' but none of them were as good as Toxtricity and since John was not part of the poison team, Toxtricity didn't know about it.

"So, what is so hard about learning this 'Poison run'", asked Nidoking.

"The first thing you should learn is how to manipulate poison to affect a part of your body. It is not so easy to do it. Enhancing your arms and enhancing your legs are 2 different things cause they have different functions. Of course, with 'Poison run', we are mostly concentrating on legs."

"You must learn to enhance your legs in such a way that it would increase your speed. Not attack, not defense but speed. But only enhancing speed will not be ideal. Because even if you gain on how to enhance your speed, your body would not be able to handle the speed if you cannot enhance the durability of your legs.", said Toxtricity.

"Okay, I got that. So, that is why is it is so difficult to learn."

"No, that is not the difficult part. I was able to do it after training for 7 months. But even if you do that, the move will still be incomplete.", sighed Toxtricity.

"But why?"

"Because, even if you are able to do it, only your speed will be enhanced, not your reaction time. What is the use of that speed, if you cannot react with the same proportion?

You also need to enhance your brain so that you can see how fast you are moving. Don't worry, our eyes could see how fast we are moving but our brain could not comprehend it, so we feel that we cannot see properly."

Nidoking nodded its head. This move was quite complicated. It wondered if the result would be as good as the harsh training that it would be doing for this single move. Even if it could increase its speed, this would only improve a part of its powers. There were a lot of things that it needed to improve.

"So, that is where you are stuck. You still cannot enhance your brain speed.", said Nidoking.

"No, I was able to do that just a few months before."

"Then what is left to do to truly learn this move?", asked Nidoking exhausted by this conversation.

"Now, I can enhance my brain speed and also improve my speed. But I cannot do both of them at the same time. You might think that this is the easy part but I found out that this is the most difficult part of learning this move."

"But why can't you do both of them at the same time."

"My man, I cannot use both of these moves subconsciously. I have to concentrate and use these moves actively and I can only do it one at a time. If this was a low-level move, then it would have been easy to do it after some practice but this is a high-level move.

But even if I am somehow able to concentrate my poison powers on my brain speed and only speed, the move will still not be completed."

"What? You gave such a big speech and now you are saying that the move can never be completed."

"I didn't say that the move is impossible. But it will need more training and more research."

"So, what is the thing that makes this move incomplete even if we are able to use it both on brain speed and leg speed?"

"Our body moves in a co-ordination. Even if we are able to enhance our leg speed and our brain speed to process it, we can only use this move to dodge an attack. Remember, we have only enhance our legs and improve the speed. We have yet to enhance our hands to punch the enemy, our other body parts to enhance our overall body capabilities, and finally our lungs and heart."

"Can't we just focus on enhancing our overall body from the start?", asked Nidoking. What was the use of enhancing only the legs if it could enhance the whole body?

"Oh, we can do that but if we do it, we will die."

"But why?"

"We don't only use the power of our cores while using the move 'Poison run'. No. We also use our entire body. Our heart pumps up our blood and our lungs regulate the oxygen. While using this move and only enhancing our brain speed and leg speed, our heart and lungs are already working at maximum capacity.

So, if we try to enhance our whole body, the pressure on the heart and lungs would be too much to handle and we will die."

"Can't we just enhance our heart and lungs too? That will make them work at an even better capacity.", asked Nidoking.

"We could in theory but it is not so easy. Unlike how we train on leg speed, the heart and lungs are very delicate organs. If some accidents happen in training, we might just die. Increasing brain speed is also not so risky as we are not enhancing the entire brain. We are just making our brain process faster for a short period of time. But it is still more risky than enhancing our legs."

Nidoking didn't ask more questions about it anymore. It was in a deep thought.

"So, after learning all the difficulties of this move, do you still want to learn it?", asked Toxtricity.

'So, that is why the number of champion-ranked Pokemons is so low compared to pseudo-champion rank Pokemon. The learning process is too risky. But I will have to do it. I want to reach Champion rank as soon as possible.', thought Nidoking.

"Yes, I will do it and I believe, that I have the way to pass your current hurdle."

"Really? What is it?", asked Toxtricity.

"'Poison Manipulation'. This is a passive move that I learned and I have also upgraded it. With this, I think we will be able to learn this move and also fully master it. I will teach you about 'Poison manipulation' and you will teach me about 'Poison run'. We will try to learn each other moves till the end of 3 months.", said Nidoking.

After training in this move for a year, Toxtricity finally had a lucky break. How could it refuse this offer? So, it agreed to it.

"Meg, remember that this is not the only thing that you have to concentrate on. You also need to work on 'Ancient power' and also ground-type direction. I know that it is too much but we have to progress as fast as possible.

And don't worry, I will bring you help after a few hours.", said Axel.

"Help?"

"Yes, I know someone that could help you in all this.", said Axel with a smile.

Nidoking was one of the most powerful tide battle specialists. So, he needed it to reach pseudo-champion rank as fast as possible. It might not be possible in these 3 months but each step of progress was still progress.

Axel had listened to all of their conversation and even if Nidoking was able to learn this move and use brain speed and leg speed simultaneously, the move was still incomplete. Luckily, he knew someone who could help Nidoking in this regard and it was time for that someone to come home.

Axel took his phone and called Red.

"What do you need?", came a voice.

"Why do you think that I need something? I might be calling you to ask how Ash is."

"Axel, you have never called me to just ask about my well-being and I am not in a good mood now. So, can you tell me what it is about?"

Axel never realized this but now was not the time to think about it.

"I do need your help."

"I know. What is it?"

"I need to meet Absol and Tauros and bring them back.", said Axel.

"Ok, I will be there after 20 minutes.", said Red and hung off the phone.

Absol and Tauros had been training on their own for a long time now. It had been more than a year since they started to train on their own. He did meet when the whole Xerneas fiasco was happening but now he needed them back.

He wanted them to realize the importance of training cause they were both very lazy and he wanted them to understand their nature and figure out about their future. They had already done that but they requested more time cause they had some unfinished business.

After half an hour, Red came with his Alakazam.

"Are you ready?", asked Red.

"Yes, I am ready.", said Axel and told Magnus to come with him.

Even though he was going to be with Red and he would not need any protection, he had to be prepared.

Suddenly, all of them teleported and when Axel opened his eyes, he saw that he was in the mountains and it was snowing. He could feel that his feet were cold from the snow too.

They were in the mountains where Absol was staying.

"Alakazam had found where Absol is staying. It is staying in the same cave where we found it last time.", said Red.

They teleported again and now Axel found himself on the front of the cave. The front of the cave was blocked by some sort of a large stone and it was almost impossible to move.

Alakazam sent a signal inside the cave and after some time, the stone moved and Axel could finally see Absol.

Absol had changed a lot since the last time he was in it. First of all, it was radiating the power of a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. He didn't know how it was possible to rank up so fast but he didn't ask this question.

It looked more mature than before. Its eyes were filled with seriousness. Axel felt a hint of fear while looking at it for the first time which surprised him.

"Hey Absol. What are you doing?", asked Axel as he went forward to pat its head. Its height was increased by a lot and Axel didn't have to bend down to touch its head.

Absol enjoyed the patting with its closed eyes filled with longing and happiness.

After some minutes of reunion, Absol asked, "Axel, why are you here? Did something happen again?"

"No, everything is okay. Don't worry. I have come to take you home and I need your help.", said Axel.

"Sorry, Axel. I cannot do it right now. I am quite busy at the moment."
