Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel-Chapter 705: Uncaged Desires Upgraded
Brandon's lips curled into a malicious grin, his eyes flashing with condescension as he parted his lips to spit the word—
"Fil—"
BOOM!
Before he could finish, Rihanna's hand moved in a blur, and in the next instant, a thunderous explosion tore through the ship.
A section of the holy vessel erupted in fire and shrapnel, the once pristine structure splintering like a broken toy as flames and smoke surged into the sky.
From below, those on the battlefield jerked their heads upward, eyes wide as a massive chunk of the ship tore away, sending twisted metal and burning debris plummeting toward the island.
One of which instantly tore a child running out of the way into uneven halves, his mother screaming as she watched her child fall apart on either sides.
This was the fate of those without power I'm this world.
More explosions followed—each one tearing through the ship like a beast ripping through flesh, until the once graceful sky-faring vessel was now a spiraling mass of ruin.
And then—
Brandon burst forth from the wreckage, his elegant robes tattered and scorched, yet his face a picture of cold fury.
In his hands, two long, glowing water whips cracked in the air, their edges sharp as blades.
*Fantom Whip*
With a snarl, he lashed them toward Rihanna, each strike fast enough to tear through stone and steel.
But she was already moving.
Her massive form twisted midair, somersaulting with impossible agility for her size.
She landed heavily on the ground, the sheer impact creating a small crater beneath her feet, dust and shattered stone flying in every direction.
Brandon descended soon after, landing lightly a short distance away from her.
Behind them, the ship completed its ruinous descent.
A final, deafening explosion ripped through the air, flames swallowing homes as the wreckage smashed into the island, sending shockwaves through the ground.
The battlefield stood still for a moment, pirates and knights alike staring in awe at the sight of the two figures now locked in a silent, deadly standoff.
The fire raged between them, painting the night in flickering gold and crimson.
Neither Brandon nor Rihanna moved.
Their eyes remained locked, reading each other, waiting, searching for an opening.
The first move would decide everything.
.....
A few hours before the battle descended upon the island…
The soldier had stormed into the hotel, his heavy boots smashing through the door, breaking past the hidden traps Chiron had set.
But when he rushed into the dimly lit room—
There was no one.
There was surprisingly even a bed that remained perfectly made, the candle by the table flickering weakly, and the only sound was the distant noise of the festival outside.
The soldier's brow furrowed in frustration. He searched every corner, his breath heavy with urgency, but there was no sign of Chiron or Emma.
Clicking his tongue in irritation, he turned on his heel and hurried out of the room, leaving just as quickly as he had arrived to report back to his commander.
The door slammed shut behind him.
And then—
The air twisted.
It was barely a ripple, a distortion that lasted only a fraction of a second, and suddenly—
Two figures stepped out from the void.
Chiron and Emma.
They had been there all along, hidden within a powerful rune formation—a treasure weapon Chiron had obtained from the fallen Gold Rankers and Demi-Gods.
Emma's eyes flashed coldly as she turned to him.
"Should I go out there and kill those fools who dare to come after you?" she asked, her tone laced with distaste, as if she were speaking of insects beneath her heels.
Chiron, however, simply raised a hand, stopping her.
"No," he said calmly. "This is an opportunity. One we should take advantage of."
Emma narrowed her eyes, but listened intently.
Chiron continued, his tone laced with amusement, "The Holy Church and the Zodiac Families have no true alliance. Their cooperation is temporary, driven only by their mutual desire to find me."
He smirked.
"If I reveal myself now, it will be a combined effort against me."
Emma scoffed. "And? You can take them all."
At that, Chiron chuckled, his voice low and knowing.
"There's no need for that," he said.
He leaned against the wall, his crimson eyes gleaming in the dim candlelight.
"I prefer to work from a place of comfort. And once they fail to find me, they'll turn on each other."
Emma's eyes lit up with understanding, and she gave a slow, respectful bow.
"A lesson well-learned, my Lord," she said softly.
But then—
Chiron's gaze sharpened.
"We just need to give them a little more… motivation."
He turned to Emma, a smile creeping onto his lips.
"You know what to do."
Emma's expression shifted, a seductive yet wicked grin curling at the corner of her mouth.
"Of course," she purred, her eyes gleaming with dark amusement.
Emma understood Chiron's words without question.
Without hesitation, she made her way to high ground on the island, moving through the shadows with practiced ease.
Then—
She activated her technique.
The same technique that had once brought ruin to Chiron's former clan, Chikitsa.
The technique that had forced fathers to turn on their sons, and mothers to slaughter their daughters with their own hands.
A technique of pure desire driven to the peak. freeweɓnovel.cøm
This was where Emma shone. She was not a combatant like Carla, but to excite people to battle, no one was better at this than her.
It was called—
*Uncaged Desires.*
Back then, when she first used it, it had been wild and untamed, its effects random, pulling any hidden desire from the depths of a person's soul and forcing it to the surface. It had been an uncontrollable force, a pink mist that seeped from her body, affecting everything in its wake.
But now—
She had mastered it.
No longer a mindless wave of destruction, it was now a focused weapon.
The mist was no longer pink, but clear as the morning fog, blending seamlessly into the surroundings like a ghost.
And more importantly—
She could now choose which desire to amplify.
Emma stood at her vantage point, her cold gaze scanning the island below, watching the procession of Magnus's statue as the priests carried it through the streets.
It was the perfect cover.
As the sacred march passed through the island, Emma breathed out.
The mist flowed from her body, spreading invisible tendrils through the wind, sinking into the crowd unnoticed, merging with the natural mist that followed the priests.
No one would suspect a thing.
Meanwhile—
Chiron sat high atop a mountain, his cloak billowing in the night wind as he gazed down at the unfolding festival.
His expression was calm, but his eyes held a faint knowing glint.
He watched as the priests moved in synchronized steps, their beards and robes dyed in the colors of the sea, carrying the statue of Magnus with an unusual grace.
And then—
His lips curved slightly.
His voice was barely a whisper, but in the empty night air, it held weight.
"That footwork…"
A brief pause.
"It's an Elven technique."
Chiron had been searching for the hidden Elven expert, and here was Elven footwork for a pagan God. It couldn't have been a coincidence.
Not long after—
The first blade was drawn.
The battle between the pirates under the Zodiac Family and the Holy Church had begun.
