Perfect Avatar-Chapter 295: Endgame

Once the tremor was over, Freya opened her eyes. She looked around, her jaw slowly dropping.

One by one, everyone was mesmerized by the sight around them.

The floor structure had a texture of a medieval castle, the walls were reminiscent of an old castle, with rich decorations, vases, and tapestries.

It was just like a room in a castle, but the most important detail was the tapestry of a 6 headed hydra hanging on the wall, the middle one with yellow eyes with its jaw open towards the sun above them.

They were all there, Freya, Mercy, Iris, Cid, Hope, Liliana, and even Lucca, Giudecca, the Nymphs, the Holy Knights, the Black Knights, Solaria, Zury, and Marie.

Everyone exchanged gazes, no words were spoken. The air was filled with magic, each breath emitting a mystical vapor.

Mercy stepped back and the ground shone beneath her feet.

A white triangle with magical symbols appeared beneath everyone, triggering several screams of surprise.

Everyone dematerialized, from the feet to the head, without a second to rest.

A white light blinded them, and once their view returned to normal, the scenery changed.

Mercy looked around, in a place built like a city with buildings surrounding them.

With her, the Holy Knights, Agharita, Lilith, Hope, and Liliana.

The area was very large, a literal little town with shops and abandoned vehicles.

They did a few indecisive steps, and then a peculiar aura made them flinch.

At the top of a smaller building next to them, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma were standing.

Mercy drew her scythe, her eyes tensing. Liliana increased her aura, everyone understood what was about to happen.

"Everyone except the Pseudo-avatars?" Gamma cracked his fingers.

"Just focus on the Pseudo-avatars, the others will die in the process." Alpha nodded.

Beta brought two fingers in front of his mouth, his eyes glowed green.

A burst of energy erupted from several parts of the town with a deafening sound.

The knights began to run away in panic, they were no match for Dora before and after the fight against the Queen they knew it wasn’t their world, but they had no choice.

"Watch out!"

A lightning explosion fell on a side of the town, sending debris flying. They stopped their meaningless rush and stared straight to a personification of the apocalypse.

A new Titan emerged from one of the surge of energy, surpassing the buildings, with a female appearance, a red body and long black hair covering the face.

None of them could recognize the appearance of Ymir, the mother of giants.

She was a little smaller than her previous apparence outside, but it was more beneficial for her flexibility.

Beta’s eyes shone, all around the city, several Players with a reduced size had been summoned.

Gamma jumped above, his magic aura exploded and expended in a sphere shape, with variety of type of magic swirling around him and forming a cloud of magic above.

Finally Alpha materialized a cemetery of broken weapon on the ground, with giant ones piercing the clouds of Gamma.

Agharita arms dropped, her eyes lost their light at the same time as most of the fighters.

The battle was over before even beginning.

"What kind of joke is that?" Agharita with a little smile watched the sky. "Are you kidding me? Why are they going so far? They don’t need that much to kill us..."

One by one, the knights looked around, it had become for some a matter of choosing a way to die.

With so many people losing their will to fight, victory was only an idea fading away, Liliana looked at her comrades with this understanding.

"There’s no time to think about it, we have to fight... We have no choice anyway... Li-listen!"

She turned to Agharita, but she couldn’t find her words. The Holy Knight gave her a desperate look in answer.

"... Guys... Everyone, we have too little time..."

"No, go ahead, we’re not in a hurry with you, take all the time you need." Alpha waved.

Liliana stared at him blankly, her eyes narrowed and her grimace widened.

"Guys... I wanted to make a motivational speech but... Why are we even hesitating now? Look at them, look around you, do you think we have a chance to make it out alive?"

With her sword, she pointed out Gamma in the air.

"They are far stronger than any of us, we faced an injured Gluttony and Wrath and we lost, why would you think we have a chance against them? There’s no point avoiding the inevitable, we are already dead!"

Her aura began to emerge, a blue mist spread among all the knights, with a signature that caught the attention of the Personas and the Pseudo-avatars: a Sin’s pressure.

"We are already dead, but before our last breath we have been gifted by the greatest stage to give ourselves a memorable death, so why giving up when we can become the brightest stars in the universe?"

The eyes of the knights turned blue, Liliana’s aura grew bigger and had a strange impact of the knights infected.

All of them tightened their grip on their weapons, their eyes shining in joy.

Above, Alpha watched the scene with big eyes then had a little smile.

"So that’s how Lust works? The more she infect people the more she’s getting stronger, but it looks like it also increase the power of the victim of her pressure."

He raised on of his hands, Beta and Gamma were both motionless, waiting for the execution order.

The mist returned to Liliana and covered her, and once it left, she had taken a brand new appearance.

She was the embodiment of a sword goddess, an archangel raising her sword. She pushed a war cry that sent the roars of the knights skyrocket.

"If this is Lust’s power... That... Might be a problem." Alpha lowered his arm, followed by the fall of a giant sword.

"Everyone, let’s go!"

Liliana jumped, followed by the knights.

Gamma clasped his hands together, charging a beam, but Mercy’s shadow bruised him.

"Pay attention here, I’ll be yer enemy!" She slashed the air with her scythe.

"... Yes, after that."

Gamma shot a beam of light on Liliana, the girl with a beat of wing narrowly dodged the attack, but behind the knights following her disappeared in the light.

She watched in disbelief the explosion, as she wished the knights got their flamboyant death.

"... Everyone... Damn you!!!"

She flew at high speed, leaving the area where the tip of the sword landed.

The ground shook, everyone jumped on higher buildings but a shadow fell on them.

"Move!"

A giant griffin and an black skeletic eagle crashed on the buildings, prompting them to jump above.

Mercy landed on a Giant minotaur, then with on jump reached the Griffin and with another, lowered the distance between her and Beta, her scythe slashed the air and clashed with Alpha who had created a sword.

The two exchanged slashes in the air, sending vibration through the air.

Above, Gamma grabbed a lightning javelin in one hand and an orb of light in the other. Raising the orb, he casted several explosion on the ground, decimating many knights.

Liliana flew toward him, both collided, sword against lightning, then a shadow flew above them, Lilith slammed with all her might, but Gamma turned into fire and let the blow go through him.

Then, his body shone and released a wave of burning aura, repelling Lilith who fell in direction of Ymir’s hand, but another miracle unfolded.

"... What?"

A shooting star caught the girl in mid air, a shooting star with Stargazer power.

The Personas realized the apparition of another Dora, but a Dora completely foreign to them.

On top of a replication of Lucca’s demon wolf, Hope stood with Agharita and the remaining knights.

"Ok, I got it, I can do it..."

He focused on himself and from a green mist surrounding him, a little army of knights rose.

In the meantime in another location similar to this town, Freya, Cid, Zury, Giudecca, Lucca, and many Black Knights faced Sigma and Omega.

On this side, there were a little room for chitchat, Giudecca and Lucca initiated the attack on sight, followed by their army, but Omega reacted instantly.

He appeared in front of the black knights and turned into a shadow.

"Void"

A black hole opened on the ground, swallowing the Black Knights, Giudecca and Lucca avoided the attack on time by jumping above but never fell down, suspended in the air by Sigma’s gravity control.

Giudecca fired a barrage of purple light, all passing through Sigma.

Lucca roared in the air, but her body was also suspended, Sigma raised two eyebrows with a mocking smile, it was too easy.

They spread everywhere, engulfed in black clouds of energy, then Freya turned around to deliver another blow when her axe met a small light bomb.

"Gh..."

The impact cracked the air, followed by a shattering of the space structure like a broken mirror.

Freya opened her eyes and found herself in the hands of Sigma carrying her.

"Don’t worry, you’re in good hands. I’m a specialist in touching people’s heart."

"L-let me go!"

She struck him in the head, the axe piercing through his skull, but Sigma only smiled.

He opened his arms, Freya began to fall from above, but higher, Omega charged a spear covered in black energy.

He threw the spear with a tremendous power, the weapon crossing the sky in an instant, but at the last moment a beam of light from Giudecca struck Freya and pushed her away.

The spear bruised her and crashed on the ground with a terrible explosion.

Freya landed on her feet, quickly joined by her comrades.

"... I owe you one."

"Are you insulting my power? I was trying to give you a quicker death you moron."

Omega and Sigma floated side by side, staring at the chaos behind.

Their eyes were strangely shining yellow, a similar situation happening at the same time for Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

"Finally a real challenge." Omega dropped his arms.

"Good, there’s so many things I want to try." Sigma spread his arms.

Both of them let their aura explode, the same for their 3 other comrades.

Everyone watched with seemed to be a cataclysmic turning point, but instead of increasing, the power of the Personas diminished, their bodies becoming silhouette with their signature color.

Somewhere else in the minuscule planet, in a place built like a very large throne room, Gloria watched a painting above the throne, a painting of a grim reaper.

Without a word, she lowered her head, a gentle wind filled with magic caressed her from the back and in reaction, she gritted her teeth.

One crystal hand emerged from a little rift behind her, reaching for her neck.

"Sanctification!!!"

A wave of energy blew the room, shattering the hand into broken pieces of glasses, and from 6 of them, an eye with the color of each Personas opened.
