Perfect Avatar-Chapter 247: Ragnarok: World Of Giants
Chapter 247: Ragnarok: World Of Giants
The light slowly faded, revealing the most unexpected scene.
Freya and the others were in a vast space resembling a desert of ice.
The young girl, at first confused, remembered everything she had seen and finally noticed the presence of her comrades.
Everyone was there, except the elves, who were dead.
Nefertari was on her knees, devastated.
Freya looked at her, not knowing what to do or say, herself still in shock over Eryl’s death, but as she looked away, she noticed the phenomenon.
"...What’s... Who is it?"
"The true form of the one who claims to be Cleopatra." Rhea walked beside her.
Next to Lust, a new individual had appeared.
A white elf, white as snow, with long white hair, priestess dress and a smaller stature, almost the same as Candace.
Everyone stared at her in amazement, while Rhea raised her sword in front of her face.
"A sin will always have the appearance of the avatar, which settles everything. You’re a Player."
The girl opened her eyes, showing green irises surrounding a narrow pupil like a snake.
"Forgive me for keeping you waiting, but I had to make a spectacle to present myself properly."
She placed a hand on her flat chest.
"Your wisdom is matched only by your reputation, Pride. I’m the player representing the avatar of envy, the great serpent Apophis. Pleased to meet you."
She curtsied, everyone looking at her with trembling eyes, except for Fenrir’s trio standing guard.
The general looked around, on the horizon a mountain range formed the edge of the terrain and above, the eclipse was visible in a pink and purple sky.
"What is this place? It doesn’t look like the outside world, is this another of your tricks?"
Apophis glanced curiously at Rhea, her smile slowly widening.
"In part, yes, but you’re wrong to call it a trick. The right question would be: who created the original place?"
She spread her arms, her energy emanating from every corner.
"The blessing of Envy confers many abilities, the most brilliant being..."
A green light emanated from her hand and took the distinct shape of Rhea’s sword.
Apophis watched every detail of her creation, under the worried gaze of everyone else.
Rhea looked at her, then at Lust, and lowered her head.
"I had my doubts before, but now it’s clear. You both have the ability to copy people to some extent."
Apophis couldn’t help but sneer, she dropped the sword, with a mocking glance at Lust.
"See, I told you she’d be the best, please give her the honor she deserves."
Rhea’s eyes sharpened, around them a green mist began to rise.
"Pride, you’re very clever, but you always fail on some detail."
Apophis closed her eyes and reopened them with the characteristic color of a Sin’s awakening: black and green.
"The blessing of Envy confers the ability to control the soul... But I suggest you check this out before you say it’s a mere copy."
The floor cracked and opened, the fissure spreading everywhere.
A deafening noise resounded, the crack in the floor widened, green energy surged up from underground.
Marie immediately used her magic to create several platforms above, and everyone, including Ambrosia and Fenrir, jumped onto them.
Below, the spectacle was terrifying.
"The power of true envy is the desire to have what the other possesses, a sword, a power, but what if you wanted to have the person themselves?"
The ground shattered completely, a gigantic mass rose from beneath and swept Envy and Lust away, but the elf’s voice continued to echo everywhere.
"Envy is the power to have something from someone, with less ability to use it, however... what if that thing was a person and that person could control themselves?"
A giant hand of colossal proportions emerged far to the left, the gigantic mass taking the form of a back covering the entire area.
In the sky, a giant green magic circle appeared.
"In the beginning of the world, it is said that there were many monsters, each possessing different attributes. These monsters blended into their environment to create what we call the world. These monsters would be known as the original beasts, the founders of the world, and among them... The giant who became the roots of the soil, the giant of the earth, Gaia".
The entity raised its upper body, the body entirely green, the thing had long green hair covering its face and spreading to the ground.
Above it, the magic circle gave birth to a gigantic eagle, flying above like a Doom beast.
"The giant who merged with space, giving birth to air, Ouranos."
Gaia emerged from the ground, only her upper body protruding, while Ouranos flew through the sky, his wings creating raging winds.
On one of Gaia’s roots, Apophis and Lust stood, the former contemplating her masterpiece.
"With the power of Envy, it’s possible to create these beasts of legend, and with the infinity of a true Avatar, it’s possible to summon even more... Pride, would you like me to summon all the original beasts here?"
A blinding light flashed across the sky, and the next moment, a deafening noise was heard.
One of Ouranos’ wings fell to the ground beside the giant.
Lust’s eyes widened as Rhea landed directly in front of the duo, her eyes shining.
"Do what you will, I’ve already told you that at the end of the day, two Avatars will meet their deaths, and I never lie."
Apophis heaved a sigh, his eyes glowed, and dozens of magical circles formed in the extended area.
"You’re too scary, Pride."
On the platform, everyone could see three stars, purple, blue and green, and then their mingled voices sounded like a furious roar.
"Sanctification..."
Space contorted and cracked, an explosion of energy shook the atmosphere, black and white shockwaves spread everywhere, coloring the earth, the sky, and the titans emerging from the magic circles.
Freya gritted her teeth, taking one last look at her comrades.
The battle of the gods had begun.
