Chapter 1641: Chapter 1447 This Joke Can’t be Played (Two in One)_2
"How shameless! What’s there to brag about? With so many people here, if you still can’t win, you might as well quit the game!"
Drizzle had no patience at all for the white-robed man and snapped, "Why is Dad being so generous today? He even took out that precious talisman. If I’d known you were going to use it, I would have stopped you!"
"What’s there not to be generous about? Uncle would do anything for his precious daughter not to get bullied. What’s a talisman compared to that?"
The white-robed man grinned and added, "Did you see how satisfying those kills just now were? You call that a waste? If I had that talisman, I’d definitely use it on the edge of the blade too!"
"I guess he’s greedy for the mineral vein in this mountain, isn’t he?"
Drizzle shot him a hard glare, "Usually, my dad couldn’t care less whether I live or die! He always says dying a few times in the game is no big deal. In fact, dying more often can help sharpen you up!"
"Haha, that’s your guess, not mine!"
The white-robed man chuckled, "To be honest, you’re not entirely wrong. The mineral vein’s value is enormous, so it must be taken seriously. Besides, Uncle wanted to show some strength and intimidate those lowlifes so they wouldn’t keep bullying you. Frankly, your performance lately has disappointed him. He asked me to pass you a message: Spilt Water Can’t Be Regained—it’s not worth your time."
"Utter nonsense!"
Drizzle didn’t even hesitate before blurting out a curse, her anger evident. She gritted her teeth and said furiously, "You go back and tell him, my life is none of his business!"
"Oh no, I wouldn’t dare say that. If you’ve got something to say, tell him yourself. This has nothing to do with me!"
The white-robed man looked awkward and decided to change the topic. He pointed to Demonic Treasure Mountain, "President Drizzle, this mineral mountain will have dedicated troops protecting it, twenty-four-seven. You can rest easy!"
"What, trying to claim the nest for yourself?"
"What kind of talk is that? We’re family—there’s no claiming or not claiming. Besides, didn’t you previously send Uncle a big batch of minerals dug from here? Uncle doesn’t want you to get overburdened. He’ll manage this mountain for you while you focus on developing the association!"
"Fine, I’m entrusting this to you. Also, tell my dad to stop eyeing the Overturning Water territory; otherwise, I’ll never forgive him!"
Drizzle glanced at the mountain peak of Demonic Treasure Mountain, her expression becoming somewhat complicated. But she didn’t say much. She led her team and left.
"Sigh, I really don’t understand the charm of Spilt Water Can’t Be Regained. He’s neither as handsome as I am nor as strong as me, yet he managed to capture Yu Ting’s heart. It’s baffling!"
The white-robed man couldn’t deny his jealousy toward Su Ran. In the game, he couldn’t even address Yu Ting casually; he could only refer to her as President Drizzle, which unintentionally widened the gap between them. And now, to make matters worse, there was an extra competitor: Spilt Water Can’t Be Regained.
Luckily.
He had managed to gather some intel about Spilt Water Can’t Be Regained through various channels. As it turned out, that guy wasn’t interested in Yu Ting, and he even intentionally distanced himself from her. Once he learned that, he felt significantly more relieved.
"Are all women masochists or something?"
The white-robed man scratched his head, genuinely confused. It was obvious Spilt Water Couldn’t Be Regained had made his stance clear, yet Yu Ting refused to give up. She really was persistent!
"Spilt Water Can’t Be Regained, I’ll have to see exactly what kind of person you are!"
The white-robed man gazed at the mountain peak and summoned his Black Hawk. He soared skyward, heading straight for the summit.
...
Meanwhile, Su Ran had no idea what was happening below. His attention was entirely fixated on the bone sphere. Ever since returning to his territory, he’d been trying to figure out exactly what the sphere was. But like an unsolvable Rubik’s cube, no matter how he tried, he couldn’t unlock its secrets—or discover what was hidden inside.
"I don’t believe this—a living person can’t be stumped by a damn puzzle!"
Su Ran pulled out a piece of lava-brick and struck the bone sphere with all his might. Since it couldn’t be opened normally, he decided to take the violent approach!
He had to see for himself what kind of lifeform this layer of bone was hiding!
However, an awkward scene unfolded.
The bone sphere was completely unharmed, yet the lava-brick in his hand shattered into two pieces.
"What the hell? This hard?!"
Su Ran was taken aback and picked up the sphere again. He felt a strange, inexplicable connection to it, as if they were bound by blood. Frustratingly, though, there was zero prompt or hint about what it contained—which only made him even more curious.
Curiosity killed the cat—an apt reflection of Su Ran’s thoughts at that moment.
Just then, a piercing eagle cry rang out. Su Ran looked up in surprise and saw a white-robed player flying around his territory on a Black Hawk.
"What’s this... spying on military secrets?"
Su Ran didn’t know the identity of the white-robed man, nor did he care to. But since the guy had trespassed on his land, Su Ran wasn’t about to let him leave easily!
A guest is a guest—how could you not treat them with proper hospitality?
Thinking this, Su Ran quietly pulled out an Air-restriction Stone. With a flash of eerie light, the Black Hawk suddenly nosedived.
"Ahhh?! What the—?"
The white-robed man panicked. He hadn’t anticipated that his Black Hawk would lose control at such a critical moment. After all, they were dozens of meters in the air. Falling from this height—he wouldn’t just crash; he’d splatter everywhere!
