Chapter 446: Chapter 202 That was a stormy Christmas Eve_2
Otilia was taken aback, raised her hand to block her face, and pushed Wayne’s innocent expression away, rolling her eyes beautifully, "Stop fooling around, we agreed to just be friends."
"This isn’t fooling around, I’m giving you courage to boldly go forward and say ’no’ to your past self, you can beat yourself," Wayne shamelessly said.
"It’s not that easy..."
Otilia shook her head, curiously asking, "Wayne, if a person defeats themselves, have they won or lost?"
"That’s a philosophical question, but in my opinion, they have won," he replied.
"How so?"
"The me now is me, the past me isn’t me. The current me beating the past me means I’ve won."
"Ah, that... kind of makes sense."
"If it makes sense, then it’s correct."
Wayne pointed at himself, "So, how about it? Do you want some courage to conquer yourself?"
"Forget it, you look like a lot of trouble, and I’m trouble enough."
"No worries, my first kiss will always be saved for you, just let me know when you want it."
"Hmm, okay then."
"..."
Now it was Wayne’s turn to be confused. Watching the artistic girl’s expression, she seriously pondered before giving her answer.
She’s serious!
"Otilia, do you have a fever? Is your brain fried? Let’s go to the hospital, my treat," he said.
"No, I’m serious. If after half a year I still..."
Otilia paused, then continued, "I’ll give you one chance to deceive me, but, I won’t be the same person then, and the cost of deceiving me will be severe, it’ll cost a life!"
Wayne blinked, who was he kidding? The cost of being deceived by him was also very severe, and could also cost a life.
"Otilia, what exactly is going on with your family?" Wayne was extremely curious and wanted to dig deeper.
"Don’t want to talk about it. I want to see you getting crushed by King Kong again," she said.
"..."
Wayne glanced at his watch, not minding the suggestion.
"What’s the matter, in a hurry to get back to your girlfriend?" Otilia teased.
"Single, thank you."

Lundan Cinema, the midnight showing.
Wayne entered the screening room in the last minute before the movie started.
The ticket collector’s face turned green, originally thinking he wouldn’t have to see that detestable face again today, but he had underestimated Wayne’s persistence.
Yesterday it was five stunning ladies, big and small, and tonight it’s three beauties, 1+2, including a set of twins. Accompanying eight beauties to the movies in two days, didn’t it tire you out?
Also, why didn’t you come during the day? Did you book a private screening in another cinema?
Thinking about his own single status, the ticket collector grew angrier and angrier, and besides, he recognized Wayne’s face; he knew he was the main character who got stomped to death by King Kong.
The good and faithful man on the screen, in reality, is a scumbag who juggles multiple relationships; how ironic, no, too real.
The ticket checker left cursing under his breath, deciding to quit right then and there; he too wanted to become an actor.
"Hey, isn’t that Mister Wayne, I thought you were too busy with official duties to come!" Philomena sat in the center of the theater with her twins, her arms draped over their shoulders with a mocking tone.
Somebody was not happy and needed to be appeased!
"How could I possibly forget my darlings, no matter how busy I am?"
Wayne pushed aside one of the twins, possibly Vernar or maybe Deit, and gave Philomena a deep kiss.
"Don’t do that, they are still... uh, I hate you so much."
"Heh heh heh, as long as you like it."

The twins looked on speechlessly at the dog of a man... well, person, unable to comprehend why the mature and steady High Priest, blessed with charm and wisdom, could be so easily manipulated by a pretty boy.
As the movie ended, Philomena lay crying in Wayne’s arms, while the twins looked up at a 45-degree angle, unwilling to be deceived by the pretty boy’s crocodile tears.
"Damn you, director, for letting you die on screen and for allowing that woman to kiss you."
Philomena sobbed and said, "It’s good that you died, otherwise, that two-timing wench would have married you."
Wayne listened with aching teeth, thinking that even Vilis’s bizarre focus had been surpassed by someone even more intense.
"Say something!"
"The first kiss is still there."
"Huh?"
"No, I mean, you took my first kiss, but it was a mismatched shot in the movie."
...
Around five in the morning, Wayne stumbled into the sewer. Due to the overly touching film, Philomena insisted on a heart-to-heart discussion.
It went on for quite some time; if not rivers of blood, it was definitely a slaughter.
Staying up all night is harmful to one’s health, so Wayne decided to pull an all-nighter. On his way back and forth, he had already collected the Ancient Silver Coin. Today’s exhaustion had reached rock bottom, so he switched to practicing with the Obelisk.
Speaking of which, the Obelisk contained the knowledge of storms and thunder, having once been a powerful deity who fell in a war of faith and was killed, then historically erased to become unknown to the world.
Wayne had obtained the Obelisk, as well as The Book of Greed. All he needed to do was unseal the Obelisk from the Sealing Book, and he could freeload off the storm and thunder powers.
But he did not do so. His plan for the Silver Stage was to have the Five Goddesses + Heaven and Hell, leaving storm and thunder for the Golden Stage, not to be considered at the moment.
No other reason, but to hold too many powerful legs, and to add another two elemental neighbors would just be too much to handle.

The course of time moved to January 1939, all was peaceful in Lundan, all was quiet and well.
Wayne’s daily routine consisted of training and dating, back and forth, mundane and unexciting, void of anything but happiness.
During this time, there was also a Christmas; most of Wayne’s acquaintances were Heretics, and he himself didn’t celebrate the holiday, but going to the Lundan Cinema with Mona to rewatch King Kong was considered enough.
Planck was infuriatingly composed as if he were competing with Wayne in patience or had simply forgotten about the Ancient Silver Coin, without getting in touch with Wayne the whole time.
On Philomena’s end, evolution was proceeding methodically. She hadn’t yet ascended to Legend, but nourished by love, she looked significantly younger.
