Chapter 381: Chapter 180: The Winner Holds the Ultimate Interpretation Right_3
"..."x2
The twins glanced at each other. Despite their disdain, there was no reason to keep giving the cold shoulder when the other party had come to help specially. One of them said, "The High Priest said they were controlled by the Devil and told us to hold them off here while he went to the Full Moon Cathedral alone."
"Where is the Full Moon Cathedral?"
"On the other side of the waterfall, the church marked with the full moon is the one."
"I see."
Wayne nodded and used telepathic transmission to inform Mona to assist on the other side of the cliff. Once he finished dealing with the riffraff opposite, he would follow suit.
With wings beating, he dashed toward the other side of the cliff.
Wayne looked at one of the twins: "Vernar, right? Leave this side to me. You two just push forward and don’t look back."
Deit: I’m not the sister.
Vernar: I’m here.
Without further explanation, they were not sufficiently trusting of Wayne to deviate from the High Priest’s orders.
"Alright, give me one minute."
Wayne curled his lips. If it weren’t for his curiosity about the twins’ physiological structure, hoping to curry favor for future study, he wouldn’t have bothered with these two blockheads.
Boom!
Wayne stepped forward, dragging afterimages before vanishing from the twins’ view.
Having reached the Silver Stage, experiencing all sorts of restrictions, and knowing the means to seal Mages, he trusted his fists even more.
Magic Power can be restricted, but the Essence of Life cannot. At the end of the day, Mages have to speak with their fists!
On the other side, over a dozen Mages sensed Wayne’s approach. They loaded their magic bullets and raised their guns to shoot.
In rapid-fire mode, each glittering bullet swayed with its own trajectory correction, enveloping Wayne’s position and blocking all space for dodging left or right.
Wayne charged through the bullet rains. When bullets touched his body, they directly pierced through, and his self-healing speed was astonishing – instantly repairing the bullet holes.
At first glance, it seemed as if he transparently passed through the barrage of bullets.
The twins were full of question marks—they didn’t notice any magic fluctuations on the pretty boy, so if not magic, it must be physical strength, then...
Fellow man?x2
Ignoring the barrage, Wayne made strides into the crowd, and the dozen or so elite fighters decisively dropped their guns in favor of swords to meet the challenge.
They were skilled fighters with rich combat experience and were well-versed in Faith Magic.
Meeting a formidable enemy, they gave their all – each one with the graceful face of an Elf. With the enhancement of Life Magic, their Essence of Life was strengthened, and both their strength and speed were elevated to varying degrees.
But Wayne was faster and stronger!
Boom!
Wayne’s speed suddenly increased, and in a step, he was ten meters away. He brushed aside a slowly moving longsword with one hand, wound up a punch, and hit directly into a beautiful Elf face.
The air split apart under pure power, turbulent airflow blowing wrinkles on the Elf’s face. All she could see in her eyes was panic, and the next second, she was sent flying out, crashing into the white church like a cannonball.
Turbulent air currents flew in all directions. At the center of the encirclement, the whistling wind surged outward, and with every blast, stones flew and fell.
Projectile after projectile flew out, each hitting the white church precisely. As Wayne disfigured the last Elf face, the church could no longer bear the weight. Walls collapsed, turning into ruins and burying over a dozen elites.
Wayne’s surroundings were pockmarked and in disarray. He unclenched his fists and casually said, "Let them sleep for a while, nobody’s going to die."

"..."
The twins didn’t respond, showing neither gratitude nor praise. They bypassed Wayne and headed straight down the path.
"A few compliments at this time, and even the High Priest’s man could be snatched away. You have no ambition, serving you right to only be underlings." Wayne grumbled as he quickly followed them.
In unfamiliar territory, the gentleman shielded his two teammates with his body.
The twins made no move to explore the churches around them, their steps light as they headed straight for the peak of the mountain.
The moon overhead grew larger. Unable to resist, Wayne glanced at it, a fake moon projected here by magic, but its existence amplified the power of faith in the moonlight.
If he wasn’t mistaken, it was indeed because of this full moon that other faith-based magic was restricted everywhere.
Wayne was considering whether to blow up this moon when the twins reached the edge of the cliff, stepped onto the Moon Arch Stone Bridge, and rushed towards the opposite cliff.
Suddenly, their way was blocked by a white-robed mage.
A Priest of the Moonlight Church, the Golden Mage, Dorin.
Dorin used Life Magic, turning herself elf-like to regain her youthful beauty.
Her golden hair cascaded over her white robe, moonlight flowed like water, illuminating her hair and delicate features with a silver halo, giving her an even more elegantly gentle air.
The twins didn’t waste words and drew their guns to shoot.
The Golden Mage’s Life Barrier opened, catching the magic-powered bullets with ease. She pointed a finger, and the moonlight, like water, transformed into cold blades that swiftly covered the entire area.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Moon Arch Stone Bridge crumbled, and Wayne and the twins fell off the waterfall, tumbling down into the abyss with the current.
Having dealt with the nuisance, Dorin turned and walked towards the direction of the white church, her gaze profound and commanding, starkly different from the previous unlucky ones controlled by the Devil.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three figures erupted in magic power, stepping on the air to return to the fragmented bridge.
A cut opened on Vernar’s face, one of the twins, and moonlight enveloped her. The wound emitted a soft glow, erasing the scar and healing back to normal.
Deit was less fortunate; a section of her right arm was severed. With her abilities, she couldn’t recreate a limb ex nihilo and chose to stop the bleeding immediately.
It’s just an arm, no need for it!
"Here, your hand." Wayne handed over half an arm from behind and slapped it on Deit’s chest: "Vernar, take care of your own body, and don’t always think about sacrificing yourself for others."
With that, he looked towards the Golden Mage on the other side, "Leave her to me. You two just charge ahead and don’t look back."
Deit whispered a thank you and, with her sister’s help, reattached her severed arm. This time, the twins obediently bypassed Dorin and headed straight for the location of the Full Moon Cathedral.
Wayne stood on the broken bridge, the sound of water roaring behind him, frowning at Dorin, who was also Chris’s foster mother.
"Mister Wayne, this is a private affair of the Moonlight Church. You should not get involved."
"I’m not interested in the Moonlight Church, but the Devil..."
"... cannot be ignored!"
