Chapter 139: Descendant of the Solenya Kingdom

"I remember she did say ’Castle Heart’ at the time... Whatever, let’s just go ask and find out." Emily didn’t feel like overthinking it. She led Ethan toward the Griffin Training Grounds, where Blazing Griffin Knight Aeliana was stationed.

Unlike Ethan’s subordinates—Seraphina, Cicero, and the others—Aeliana, despite choosing to follow Emily, wasn’t bound by unwavering loyalty. She wasn’t the type to pledge eternal allegiance, never betraying under any circumstances.

In fact, when a unit hero follows someone who isn’t their official lord, their loyalty tends to be quite low. They can switch allegiances at any time without consequence. That was one of the major downsides of not being a lord.

But once you became a lord, unit heroes’ loyalty to you was bound by a contract!

Of course, even contract-bound loyalty had varying degrees of strength, but overall, it was far more reliable than mere verbal allegiance.

Because of this, even though Aeliana was technically Emily’s hero, she didn’t always stay by her side. She had her own freedom of movement and activities.

Dunmire – Griffin Training Grounds

Thud! Thud-thud!

A woman riding a Blazing Griffin appeared before Ethan and Emily. She had long golden hair and wore a blue-and-white battle armor. Her skin was pale as snow, yet her expression was resolute and unwavering.

A faint reddish glow, like sunlight, radiated from her entire body, emanating intense heat. The energy was so strong it almost seemed tangible—an unmistakable display of power.

There was no doubt about her identity.

Blazing Griffin Knight.

A hidden, special Tier 8 unit of the Castle faction—Blazing Griffin Knight.

"Lady Emily, it’s been a while."

Aeliana greeted Emily with a respectful bow before turning to Ethan and bowing even deeper. "Blazing Griffin Knight Aeliana. It is a great honor to meet you, esteemed Count Valkarion."

Clearly, even though Aeliana hadn’t been directly involved in the recent events, she was already well aware of Ethan’s presence.

After all, there weren’t many people in the Unicorn Duchy who could go head-to-head with Roland.

And the man standing before her—Count Valkarion—was one of them.

That left a deep impression on Aeliana.

At the same time, Ethan’s vision filled with Aeliana’s status panel. freeweɓnøvel.com

[Aeliana]

Level: 42

Race: Solenyan Half-Elf

Tier: Epic (Purple)

Hero Class: Blazing Griffin Knight, Griffin Knight Trainer

Overall Rating: S-Tier, Legendary (Orange) Hero!

"Solenyan Half-Elves?"

Ethan froze for a moment. He hadn’t expected Aeliana to be a Half-Elf rather than a human.

"Yes, esteemed Count Valkarion," Aeliana confirmed with a nod. "I am a descendant of the Solenya Kingdom. My ancestors once stood on par with the ’King’ of the Unicorn Duchy—Grand Duke Theodore. But... that kingdom is long gone now." She shook her head, a hint of regret in her voice.

"So, you’re originally from The Lost Realms." Ethan nodded in understanding before asking, "If that’s the case, then this Blazing Griffin Knight—it must also be a creation of your lost kingdom, right?"

"That’s correct." Aeliana nodded again, her expression turning nostalgic. "In our language, Solenya means ’sun.’ That’s why our kingdom was also known as the Solari Kingdom. All of our military units were connected to the power of the sun... But unfortunately, my ancestors couldn’t withstand the test of time. In the end, the Solenya Kingdom collapsed."

"I heard from my sister that you know something about the whereabouts of Castle Heart. Was it located within your kingdom?" Ethan asked.

"Castle Heart..." Aeliana hesitated for a moment before speaking slowly. "It was something my great-grandfather told me about, but I can’t say for sure. According to him, when our ancestors realized the Solenya Kingdom was on the verge of destruction, they hid Castle Heart somewhere... along with the means to awaken our kingdom’s Guardian Deity."

"Guardian Deity? You mean Legendary Units?" Ethan asked, his interest piqued.

"No." Aeliana shook her head. "Unfortunately, our ancestors’ Solenya Kingdom never had Legendary Units. Instead, we had a unique Tier 12 hidden unit—the Solar Warden."

"Tier 12 hidden unit... Solar Warden?" Ethan was momentarily stunned.

He felt a slight pang of disappointment at not hearing about Legendary Units, but at the same time, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

Even though it wasn’t a Legendary Unit, a Tier 12 hidden unit—if real—was still an incredible find!

Hidden units varied in strength, but generally speaking, they were superior to the standard units of any major faction.

And if the Solar Warden had been the trump card of an entire Lost Realm, there was no way it was weak!

"Aeliana, do you know where it is?" Emily asked.

"I don’t..." Aeliana shook her head. "Lady Emily, Count Valkarion, if you truly wish to find out, I can take you to my people’s tribe."

"To be honest, I only know bits and pieces about this. The Elders—they are the ones who truly know everything and have the authority to decide."

"Where is your tribe located?" Ethan asked.

"At the border between AvLee and Kazmordûn," Aeliana replied.

"That far?" Ethan was taken aback.

AvLee is the main city of the Forest faction in Glory Lords X, located in the northwest of the Eight Grand Duchies. Kazmordûn, on the other hand, is the homeland of the Dwarves, situated far, far to the north of the Eight Grand Duchies.

If you calculate the distance, it would take months—maybe even a year or two—to get there.

"Yeah," Aeliana said. "Back when I left home to travel the world, it took me years to make it all the way here. But... there is a shortcut."

"A shortcut?" Emily asked.

"The Tower faction’s main city, Argentum City, has teleportation gates that connect to different parts of the world," Aeliana explained. "If we go from here to Argentum City, then teleport to Kazmordûn, we could make it in two or three months—if we’re fast. But the teleportation fees are insanely expensive. Those mages? Total rip-offs."

Ethan fell silent, deep in thought.

He was weighing how feasible this plan actually was.

Then, out of nowhere, Emily spoke up. "Ethan, let me go check it out!"

Ethan blinked, turning to look at her.

Emily smiled. "Ethan, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! If this is real, I might actually be able to help you. And come on, two or three months? That’ll fly by before we know it. It’s not that long."

"You’re sure about this?" Ethan asked.

"Absolutely." Emily nodded, then suddenly added, "Besides, Ethan—Radiant Spirit, Solar Warden... don’t you think there’s a connection between them?"

"Radiant Spirit is one of the unit types from the Solenya Kingdom," she continued.

"And if a Radiant Spirit evolves to its ultimate form, it becomes a Tier 12 Royal Unit—Solar Warden," Aeliana confirmed.

Ethan barely had time to process that before Emily made up her mind. "That settles it. I have to go see for myself."

"Alright then..." Ethan nodded. Without hesitation, he traded her the Tier 12 Champion Knight and the Tier 11 Unicorn, keeping only one for himself.

"Ethan, I can’t—"

Emily started to refuse, but Ethan cut her off.

"Take them. Just give them back when you return. And I mean all of them—completely intact," Ethan said with a grin.

Emily hesitated for a moment, then nodded silently. "Ethan, I will succeed. I promise!"

"If you run out of money, let me know. I’ll transfer more through the system."

"Got it..."

"Good luck!"

"You too!"

...

Before long, Emily left with Aeliana, quick and decisive.

After all, it wasn’t like they were parting forever. If they couldn’t see each other online, they’d still meet up in real life. When you thought about it, it really wasn’t a big deal.

The next day, at Molten Gold Gorge.

A Cavalier hero, Roland, and a Priest, Maya, both from the Castle faction, arrived at the scene—accompanied by a Legendary Unit.

An Angel.

Her golden hair flowed like the wind, drifting weightlessly in the air.

Behind her, pure white angelic wings shimmered, transforming into radiant energy, surrounded by countless particles of holy light. The sheer power emanating from her was overwhelming—enough to inspire both awe and fear.

This was no ordinary Legendary Unit.

This was a Legendary Hero.

An Angel Hero.

"Honored Lord, there are indeed lingering traces of an Infernal Lord’s battle aura here," Priest Maya reported to the Angel.

As a Priest of Light, Maya was highly sensitive to demonic energy—there was no chance she could be mistaken.

"This... feels like Malphas’ presence," Roland murmured, his brows furrowing.

"And also... the presence of a Green Dragon Hero," the Angel added with a faint smile.

The moment those words left her lips, Roland and Priest Maya both stiffened, their pupils contracting in shock.

A Green Dragon Hero?!

A Tier 13 Legendary Unit—a Green Dragon Hero!

That was a being on the same level as their own Lord, Wisdom Angel Cain!

That guy... he actually...

"Roland, you should be grateful that Maya saved you," the Angel continued, still smiling. "Otherwise, you’d be spending a very long time at the Resurrection Altar."

Roland shuddered, immediately bowing his head. "Lord Cain, I—I’m sorry... I—"

"Enough. What’s done is done," Wisdom Angel Cain said with a light chuckle. Then, turning his gaze toward the Hell Gate, which was on the verge of forming, his expression grew serious. His eyes gleamed with an unfathomable depth.

"The real problem... is this."

"The Inferno faction is stirring. And even the Dungeon faction... something feels off over there too." Cain’s voice was calm, but there was an unmistakable weight to his words. "I hope I’m just imagining things. Because if I’m not... we might be looking at something big."

At that, Roland and Priest Maya stiffened once more, their faces paling as they stared at Wisdom Angel Cain in shock.

"Lord Cain... you don’t mean—?"

"I don’t know," Cain admitted, shaking his head. His tone remained indifferent, but there was an underlying tension.

"Either way, I’ll report this immediately. And you two—don’t just stand around. Investigate everything related to the Inferno faction. Leave nothing unchecked. We cannot afford to let this slide."

"Yes, Lord Cain!"

"As you command, Lord Cain!"
