My Milf System-Chapter 59. A map to the land of cute cat-girls
Chapter 59: 59. A map to the land of cute cat-girls
Ivy stood up. "My husband is scum, there’s no doubt about that. But as for my daughter, I believe the allegations against her are false."
The hall erupted into chaos—crazy old hags behaving like five-year-olds.
"The Swordmaster is claiming her wicked daughter is innocent!"
"How dare she? Is she implying the Guildmaster and her daughter are lying?"
"We won’t tolerate such disrespect to our honorable Guildmaster!"
"The GM is never wrong! Get the Swordmaster executed along with her family. They’re all in on this treachery!"
My eye twitched. Morons. The elders of this kingdom were absolute morons.
Although I was still shaken by the revelation about Anna’s parents, I stood my ground. The bickering of these old fools was starting to get on my nerves.
"SILENCE!" I roared, earning shocked gasps from the crowd. "All of you old hags are too damn noisy. I’d appreciate it if you shut the fuck up."
Gasps. More whispers.
"Did he just say ’fuck’ to us?"
"This boy needs to be taught a lesson."
"He should be executed as well."
I chuckled dryly. "So execution is your only solution when things don’t go your way? Pathetic. Too bad—I’m not just going to stand here and listen to the trash you all are spouting." My words sent the entire hall into an uproar.
Then, the Duke’s laughter cut through the noise.
He rose from his throne, walking slowly toward me. "I have to admit, I’ve never seen a boy your age with such guts. You’re amusing."
"That so?" I said, meeting his gaze. "I also have to admit, I didn’t think the great Duke would be so clouded-minded as to not see the innocence in this girl’s eyes." I nodded toward Anna, who was sprawled on the floor, sobbing silently.
"Hmm. They say looks can be deceiving." The Duke shrugged, stopping just in front of me.
"That so?" I asked, locking eyes with him.
Tension crackled between us.
Then—
He lunged at me, aiming a punch at my face. I dodged swiftly, dashing to the side. Clenching my fist, I got into a fighting stance. "Wait... we’re fighting now?"
"They say men understand each other best through their fists. What do you say?"
I smirked. No doubt, this guy was strong. But I was curious—just how strong? I had fought stronger opponents before. This guy didn’t compare to the Behemoth of Tyrant I took down when I was just a newbie... and he sure as hell didn’t compare to Draegonoth. So I had a chance.
"Sure. Sounds like a plan to me." I grinned.
Wouldn’t be bad to knock him off his high horse and crush his pride, now, would it?
"Asher... no." Anna’s weak voice pulled me back. She grabbed the hem of my trousers. "Don’t do it. He’s strong."
I crouched down, gently brushing strands of hair away from her tear-streaked face. "Don’t worry, Anna. I won’t lose. As long as I know I’m doing it for you."
More tears rolled down her cheeks as I wiped them away with my fingers.
She pulled me into a tight hug. "I believe in you, Asher. Go fuck them up."
"Whoa." I chuckled, pulling back. This was the first time I’d ever heard Anna curse.
I stood up and faced the Duke. "Alright. I’m ready. Where’s the arena?"
He chuckled. "There won’t be a need for that. We’re fighting here and now."
"Really now? Don’t blame me if your spectators burn to ash and your beautiful mansion crumbles to the ground."
"Don’t worry about that." He turned to the Guildmaster. "Liloth! A barrier, please."
Liloth chanted a spell, and an invisible barrier materialized, shielding everyone—except me, the Duke, and Anna. They didn’t even bother protecting her.
I smirked. Perfect.
I told Anna to step back, then surrounded her with my own wind barrier before getting into a fighting stance.
The Duke charged at me, and we clashed in a flurry of fists. Each of us took turns landing blows. His attacks were heavy—powerful—but my speed gave me the edge, allowing me to dodge and counter. The battle raged until we both stepped back, gasping for breath.
Then, the door creaked open.
A familiar figure strolled in.
It was Hillary—the noble brat I had once dueled with at school. He tossed a heavy sword across the floor. "Get him, Father!" he yelled. "Get him for embarrassing me at school!"
I scoffed. So they were father and son, huh? Two birds with one stone.
The Duke picked up the sword, brandishing it under the light.
"A sword in a fistfight, huh? Getting desperate, Honorable Duke?" I taunted.
He smirked. "In a real battle, there’s no complaining about whether your opponent has a weapon. The only thing that matters is who wins."
The old hags cheered from the sidelines.
If I used my scalpels, I could end this match quickly—or even kill him. But l didn’t want that. Instead...
I reached into my inventory and pulled out a demon sword—a prize l won from my battles in the Demon Realm against Rose’s demons. Its obsidian-black blade gleamed, a thin red line running down its center.
"Alright. Come at me."
I infused the demon sword with my aura. The Duke did the same with his blade. The weaker one between us was bound to fall when our swords clashed.
And I sure as hell wasn’t planning to lose.
But just as we were about to strike—
"Stop this nonsense!" A commanding voice rang from the entrance.
Priestess Seraphina Elaviel strode in.
The Duke instantly lowered his sword and bowed. "My Priestess..."
She frowned. "Holding an important meeting like this without inviting me?"
"My apologies, Priestess," the Duke said, his voice now soft. "I didn’t want to trouble you with trivial matters."
Trivial? My ass.
The Priestess held more power than anyone in this kingdom.
She walked over to me and Anna. "Let these kids go."
Gasps rippled through the hall as Liloth deactivated her barrier. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"But, madam—these two are the reason three students lost their lives at the—" Liloth tried to argue but was cut off as Seraphina raised a hand.
"I had a vision," she said. "If you anger these children, our kingdom will fall into calamity."
Fear gripped the room as hushed whispers spread among the crowd.
Seraphina approached me, handing me a small plastic bag. Inside was a map and other few necessities.
She leaned in, whispering, "The map leads to the first Guardian of the Key of Ascension. She’s a demi-human who lives far to the north... A cat girl."
My heart skipped a beat.
A cat girl guardian? Demi-humans exist in this world?
Hell yeah! I was definitely looking forward to judging some cute cat girls with my Rod of Judgment.
I smirked. "Thanks, Priestess."
She chuckled. "You’re a strange teenage boy. You act too mature for your age. Maybe that’s why my heart keeps beating for you."
I raised a brow. "You know... if you ever feel like indulging in a little sin with me, you’re always welcome."
She chuckled, ignoring my comment and turned back to warn the Duke and the others.
Now that Anna was safe, it was time to focus on one thing—harvesting as many Pleasure Points as possible before going on my journey.
After all, I wouldn’t want to lose to a cat girl guardian because of low magic, now, would I?
