My Love Debts Are Everywhere!-Chapter 599: A Contract
Last night…
"I'm heading back to my room," Leon said, glancing at the clock. It was already half past eleven.
He had intended to sleep but hadn't expected Aurora to call him to her room.
After all, they were a man and a woman. Staying together too long in the same room might seem improper—especially in the eyes of the other fairies.
Aurora simply nodded in response. "Alright."
But just as Leon was about to turn around, her brows knit slightly, as if something had just come to mind.
"Wait, Leon. There's something I need to say—and I hope you'll accept it," she said, her voice suddenly serious.
Leon raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it, Aurora?"
Aurora didn't respond right away. Her beautiful face flushed slightly, though she tried to hide it behind a calm expression.
After a steadying breath, she met his eyes and spoke firmly, "I want to form a contract with you."
Leon froze, visibly surprised. His brows furrowed as he asked, "A contract? What do you mean?"
Aurora took a quiet sip of tea, then gently set the cup down before answering.
"A contract is a sacred bond—one that unites two individuals as one."
"You probably know that elf girl, Elina, has formed a contract with one of us—Sophia, right?"
Leon winked and nodded slowly. "Yes, I know. Sophia is the fairy who can foresee the future, isn't she?"
"Sophia can indeed see the future," Aurora confirmed. "Because of that ability, she became interested in Elina, who also possesses a similar power."
"So, are you saying… you want us to make a contract like Elina and Sophia did?" Leon asked, taking a sip of his tea, his eyes locked on Aurora.
"Yes, that's right," Aurora admitted without hesitation. "But unlike the equal contract between Sophia and Elina, I want ours to be a contract between master and servant."
"In this way, I—and the entire fairy race—will be under your command. We'll always be ready whenever you need us. So… what do you think? Do you accept?"
Aurora looked both nervous and excited. As the Fairy Queen, her status was lofty and revered.
It was unthinkable for her to form a contract like this with any other being—especially one where she took the position of a servant.
But she believed this path suited Leon. It wasn't just about binding him to the fairy race—it was her way of showing that they had value and a vital role to play.
She knew Leon's journey ahead would be filled with obstacles and danger. And she wanted to be the one to walk beside him through it all.
Only then could she—and the entire fairy race—fulfill their role in supporting the Fated One.
Of course, Leon understood the meaning and purpose behind Aurora's request. But he wasn't angry in the slightest. Instead, he saw her as a wise and perceptive ruler.
She was willing to sacrifice her freedom for the sake of her people's future.
To be honest, Leon truly admired someone like Aurora.
She was brave, decisive, and honest—a fairy capable of loving and hating with genuine sincerity.
That's why, to Leon, Aurora was someone worth trusting—and someone who deserved a chance.
Without hesitation, he nodded. "Alright, let's form a contract."
Aurora's nervousness vanished instantly, replaced by a deep sense of relief.
What she was about to do was a risky gamble.
If she agreed to enter into a contract as a servant, she would be surrendering her freedom completely.
If Leon were to order her to take her life—or even to slaughter her people—she wouldn't be able to refuse.
Yet Aurora was certain that Leon was not that kind of person. His actions and demeanor had proven him to be someone worthy of trust.
Moreover, Zelda had told her many things about Leon, and Aurora herself had been observing him in secret.
So this decision wasn't made on impulse—it was something she had carefully considered for a long time.
"Then, close your eyes. I'll begin the ritual to form the contract," Aurora said softly.
Leon gave a slow nod and closed his eyes without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Aurora rose from her seat and quietly walked over to him, stopping just in front of him.
As she gazed at his face up close, she couldn't help but sigh softly.
"What a flawless and beautiful facial structure," she whispered in admiration.
Even by the fairy race's high standards of beauty, Leon stood above the rest.
No fairy had ever possessed such striking features—and if one had, it would've been nearly unimaginable.
Pushing those thoughts aside, Aurora lifted her index finger.
A moment later, golden light began to glow from its tip.
She gently touched Leon's forehead and whispered, "I, Aurora Elowenith, Thirty-fifth Fairy Queen, willingly enter into a contract as the servant of Leon Kruger."
*Whoosh!*
As soon as the words left her lips, a brilliant golden light burst forth, flooding the room.
At the same time, a petal-shaped symbol slowly appeared on the backs of both their hands.
The symbols were identical, though Aurora's was slightly dimmer than Leon's.
She calmly pulled her finger away from his forehead and stared at the mark on her hand with a complicated expression.
Even though she had prepared herself for this moment, a quiet sense of reluctance still lingered in her heart.
After all, she was the Fairy Queen. It was only natural to feel a sense of loss when her freedom was no longer entirely her own.
Yet, as she thought of her people's well-being and the bright future they dreamed of, the sadness gradually faded, replaced by a vibrant glow that lit up her beautiful, captivating face.
Leon opened his eyes and looked at Aurora standing before him. "Is it done?"
"Yes," Aurora replied with a soft smile. "It's done. You should be able to feel the connection between us now."
Leon closed his eyes for a moment. Sure enough, a strange sensation rose within him—like an invisible thread now linked his soul to Aurora's.
He could feel her presence... and somehow, he knew that he held a degree of control over her.
When he opened his eyes again, his gaze met hers—and in that brief moment, he caught a flicker of sadness behind her composed smile.
Leon stood up. Then, with a gentle hand, he patted Aurora's shoulder and offered a reassuring smile.
"Since you've shown me your loyalty, I'll return it in full. Don't worry."
"I, Leon Kruger, swear to protect you—and the entire fairy race. If anyone dares to threaten you, even if they come from another hidden race, I'll stand before you and fight."
"This is my oath."
Aurora hadn't expected such words from him. The last traces of sorrow within her vanished completely.
"Thank you, Leon. I believe in you…"
