Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor-Chapter 4646: Relaxing
Chapter 4646: Relaxing
“Hao’er? Mother has come to keep you company,” Feng Jiu said gently from outside the cabin door.
Hearing her voice, Hao’er quickly got up and opened the door. “Mother,” he murmured, throwing himself into her embrace, his voice filled with emotion. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
Feng Jiu held him close, gently patting his back. “It’s alright, Mother is here with you,” she soothed him in a comforting voice.
She led him to the bed and sat down, speaking softly. “Hao’er, you must understand that no one in this world will always be by your side. On the path of growing up, you will encounter many things that you must learn to face and adapt to on your own.”
Feng Jiu stayed with Hao’er in the cabin, offering him comfort and guidance. Outside, when Du Fan spotted a town below, he approached the cabin and called out, “Master, there’s a town below.”
Taking Hao’er’s hand, Feng Jiu walked out of the cabin. “Let’s go down and rest for a while!” she said, and with that, she steered the flying ship towards the town.
Upon landing, she stowed away the flying ship, and the group made their way into the bustling city. The vibrant streets, children playing joyfully, and colorful lanterns illuminating the shops on either side caught Feng Jiu’s attention. “Du Fan,” she said, “go and find an inn first! I’ll take the children to explore the city for a bit.”
Turning to the masked man, she added, “You go and rest first! There’s no need for you to follow us around.”
The masked man glanced at Yue’er, then nodded indifferently. “Mm.” With that, he turned and headed off to find lodging.
“Master, don’t stay out too late. I’ll find a good inn and notify you with the communication jade,” Du Fan said, bowing slightly before following the masked man, leaving Leng Hua and Leng Shuang with Feng Jiu and the children.
“Come on, Mother will take you around. Tell me what you’d like to eat, and I’ll buy it for you,” Feng Jiu said with a warm smile, leading them forward.
Leng Hua and Leng Shuang exchanged a knowing glance and smiled, quietly trailing behind them, keeping a watchful eye on the three children.
Compared to the formal fare of restaurants, the three children clearly preferred the array of street snacks. Feng Jiu indulged them, letting them sample everything that caught their eye and buying them small toys. As they played and relaxed along the way, Hao’er’s mood gradually began to lift.
“Are you tired? Would you like to head back and rest?” Feng Jiu asked, observing the children’s obvious excitement.
“Mother, Mother, I heard people over there saying they are going to the river to release wish lanterns! Mother, let’s go too!” Yue’er tugged on her hand and shook it gently, looking up at her with a pleading expression.
Seeing her daughter’s eagerness, Feng Jiu smiled and replied with mock helplessness, “Okay, okay, Mother will go with you. Let’s go! First, we need to buy some wish lanterns.”
They walked towards the nearby stalls, purchased a few lanterns, and followed the other people carrying them until they reached a river where numerous wish lanterns were already floating.
On the water’s surface, the wish lanterns resembled blooming lotus flowers, emitting a soft, ethereal glow as they drifted along with the gentle current, creating a truly breathtaking spectacle.
The three children approached the riverbank, lanterns in hand. They joined their hands together, silently made their wishes, and then carefully placed the lanterns in the water, watching them float away slowly.
“Mother, let’s go back to the inn! Yue’er wants to go to sleep now,” Yue’er said, running to her mother’s side and looking up at her with her sleepy little face.
