Chapter 197: JEALOUSY OVERLOAD

"I’M going home, Hyung."

"Yes, take care."

"Don’t you need me to stay for anything?"

Aigoo.

To be honest, after Sohee woke up earlier, he felt embarrassed to face Kim Heedo.

Of course, he didn’t regret doing that thing with his husband.

I mean, we’re not totally okay yet. But it’s hard to break the bond of an imprinted Alpha and Omega.

"I’ll call you if I need you."

Kim Heedo’s face lit up. "Okay, Hyung. I’ll be waiting for your call."

Aigoo.

He’s too easy to, uh, manipulate.

"Hyung, you should have this," Kim Heedo said, pulling out a black card from his wallet. "Eomma said you returned your card when you filed for divorce."

Oh, right.

Sohee did that.

It didn’t feel right to still be using his in-laws’ money after he filed for divorce, so he returned the card.

Actually, he secretly left it under the divorce papers.

Because if he didn’t do that, his in-laws wouldn’t have let him return the card.

"What are you using for your expenses, Hyung?"

"Hey, I have a little savings, you know? Plus, I have cash from my father’s salary that I collected for a few months," Sohee said, pausing for a moment before he confessed. "I actually sold a few sets of gold jewelry that you gifted to me in the past."

I kept the gold watches and some pieces that I like, though.

He didn’t feel bad selling the pieces of gold jewelry that he received from Kim Heedo because he asked his husband (pre-amnesia) to gift him gold that he could sell in case he got kicked out of the family.

Well, he didn’t get kicked out— it was his own decision to leave.

Even so, he still needed money to survive.

"That’s good, Hyung."

"Are you not disappointed that I sold the gold jewelry that you gave to me as a gift?"

"No, not at all," Kim Heedo said while shaking his head. "I’m actually relieved that the gifts that the past me gave to Hyung came in handy. You can sell everything I gave you, Hyung. I’ll just give you more later."

Aigoo.

"But please use my card from now on, Hyung. I don’t want you to worry about money," Kim Heedo said in a firm yet encouraging tone. He wasn’t forcing Sohee to accept the car, but he was strongly encouraging him. "Please accept this for our babies. I’m still responsible for you and our children. So, Hyung, please help me support you in this way since I can’t stay by your side at the moment."

Ouch.

The last part kind of made Sohee feel guilty.

And Kim Heedo seemed to have realized his mistake right away.

"I didn’t mean to make you feel bad or guilty, Hyung. We ended up this way all because of me," Kim Heedo explained, panic clear in his eyes. "I’m sorry, I misspoke."

"It’s alright, Kim Heedo. I understand what you’re saying, and you’re right," Sohee said, gently rubbing his baby bump. "I shouldn’t stop you from providing for our babies, especially since I want to give them the best care they could possibly receive."

And the best treatment Park Sohee could get for his babies would only be possible with Kim Heedo’s wealth.

***

"KYUNGMIN Hyung, please increase the dosage of my suppressants," Kim Heedo said while offering his arm to the doctor. "I feel like I’m going to lose control every time I’m near Sohee Hyung."

Seong Kyungmin took off his glasses and sighed. "Do you want to overdose, Heedo-ya?"

Oh.

The doctor was addressing him casually.

So, Seong Kyungmin actually sounded like an older brother scolding his younger brother instead of a doctor nagging at his patient for the latter’s ridiculous request.

"Even if you’re a Hyper-Dominant Alpha, too many suppressants will still take a toll on your body," Seong Kyungmin explained. "I know that you’re currently separated from Sohee-ssi. But you can pleasure yourself, can’t you?"

Ahem.

It was an embarrassing topic, but it wasn’t like Seong Kyungmin brought it up out of nowhere.

The doctor was still being professional about it.

"Hyung, my hands can’t satisfy me."

And it wasn’t like Heedo could ask Park Sohee to use his hands for him all the time.

"Then get out of here and continue begging for Sohee-ssi’s forgiveness."

"Hyung, I’m doing my best to gain my husband’s forgiveness, but it’s not easy."

It was understandable, of course.

I’ve really been a big jerk to Hyung, after all.

"Heedo-ya, can I ask something private?"

"Hyung already knows about my sex life. I don’t think there’s an aspect of my life that’s being kept private from you. So, go ahead and ask."

"Have you stopped supporting Sohee-ssi financially?"

"What do you mean by that, Hyung?"

"The medical staff that’s staying near where Sohee-ssi lives at the moment is hired by your family. But whenever Sohee-ssi has a consultation with me regarding his pheromone level, my staff members told me that he always pays in cash," Seong Kyungmin explained. "I think he’s using his own money."

Oh.

Heedo felt a painful squeeze in his heart when he heard that.

If it were up to me, I wouldn’t let Sohee Hyung worry about paying for anything in his life.

"I mean, there’s nothing wrong with using his own money. And it’s a good thing that Sohee-ssi is financially independent. But the people who know you and Sohee-ssi are talking. Of course, I do my best to stop them from spreading rumors. But there’s only so much I can do to keep their mouths shut," Seong Kyungmin said. "Heedo-ya, you’re the heir of Ilsung Group. These kinds of rumors will affect your family negatively. I’m sure you don’t want people to paint Sohee-ssi as a pitiful husband being neglected by his chaebol spouse."

The doctor had a point.

Luckily...

"Don’t worry, Hyung," Heedo assured the doctor. "Sohee Hyung and I have already talked about it. Thankfully, he let me financially support him again."

"That’s good to hear, then."

"Now, Hyung, help me."

"Heedo-ya, this is the last time I’m increasing the dosage of your suppressants," Seong Kyungmin warned sternly. "But I’m warning you: this might cause mood swings."

"It’s fine, Hyung," Heedo said confidently. "I’m more disciplined than your average Alpha."

***

"WHAT is it, Yujae-ya?" Sohee asked curiously. "It looks like you have something you want to say to me."

"Oh. Is it obvious?" Ahn Yujae asked, smiling as if he were embarrassed. "Actually, I have a favor to ask, Sohee-ya."

Ah, I knew it.

Well, actually, Sohee already had an idea because of Lim Garam.

"Sohee-ya, I know this might be an awkward request. But can you listen to Ahn Yujae? He has something he wants to say, but he’s not sure if he should."

To be fair, Sohee had put a wall between him and Ahn Yujae.

He made sure that he wouldn’t be seen alone with his ex-boyfriend, even if they were staying under the same roof.

This was the exception, though.

Since Sohee knew that Ahn Yujae wouldn’t want someone else to hear their conversation, he purposely asked him about it when only the two of them were in the garden.

He was there first as he was taking a breath to get some fresh air.

To be precise, he was there because he had just finished a phone call with Kim Heedo.

"Hyung, I just finished a consultation session with Kyungmin Hyung. I don’t have a schedule left for today. Do you want me to bring you anything? Food? Snacks?"

"I’m actually craving cheesecake from a specific store. Can you get it for me, Kim Heedo?"

"Of course, Hyung."

"I want the whole thing, okay? Not just slices."

"Hyung, I can buy the whole store for you if you want."

And that was how their conversation ended.

When Sohee finished his phone call with Kim Heedo, Ahn Yujae then came home from his personal schedule.

And here we are now.

"Sohee-ya, do you remember Cha Jinha?"

"It’s hard to forget someone who bullied me."

"Oh. That’s fair," Ahn Yujae said, smiling apologetically at Sohee. "After the, uhm, issue that happened last semester, Cha Jinha took a leave of absence. And, ever since then, I barely talked to him."

"Did you cut him off?"

"I did. Aside from the fact that I was disappointed in him for being a horrible person to you, I also turned him down," Ahn Yuja said, avoiding Sohee’s gaze as if he were embarrassed. "I’ve never seen Cha Jinha as more than a friend."

Aw.

Sohee was annoyed at Cha Jinha, yes.

But not to the point that he would celebrate the poor lad’s rejection.

I mean, Cha Jinha did pick on me. But I kind of enjoyed the drama he added to my otherwise boring college life.

Having said that...

"Yujae-ya, I don’t want to be mean, but I don’t really care about your and Cha Jinha’s business," Sohee said bluntly. "Both of you are adults, and we’re not close enough to care about each other’s personal affairs. So, can you get straight to the point?"

"Oh, sure. Of course," Ahn Yujae said, and then he faced Sohee properly. "Sohee-ya, Cha Jinha actually wanted to meet you one last time."

"One last time?"

"He’s planning to continue his studies abroad. He’ll be leaving by the end of the month."

Oh.

There’s only a week left before it then.

"Cha Jinha said he wanted to apologize to you properly. I guess he finally realized how awful he had been to you," Ahn Yujae explained. "But, of course, you don’t have any obligation to listen to his request, Sohee-ya. You don’t have to forgive him either. I’m just letting you know about Cha Jinha’s request as a favor to him."

To be honest, Sohee didn’t want to meet Cha Jinha again.

But he remembered that Kim Heedo had asked Ahn Yujae for a favor recently, so he wanted to repay Ahn Yujae for that.

"Alright. Let’s do that. But I only have time today, Yujae-ya."

Sohee was planning to rest starting tomorrow.

His morning sickness was gone (thanks to Kim Heedo’s sacrifice), but he noticed that he was feeling faint more often these days.

Hence, he thought he should take a long break.

"Oh, that actually works since Cha Jinha and I are actually about to meet today," Ahn Yujae said. "You can choose where you want us to meet, Sohee-ya."

Sohee then remembered the cheesecake that he had requested from Kim Heedo.

Will I meet him if we go there?

That made him feel a bit excited.

"Then I have this café that I want to visit," Sohee said, trying to hide his excitement. "Let’s go there."

***

SOHEE overestimated his body.

As soon as the car stopped in front of the café, he immediately got out.

He actually wanted to run towards the café and use the restroom because he wanted to throw up, but his legs immediately collapsed.

"Sohee-ya!"

Fortunately, Ahn Yujae was able to catch Sohee before he hit the ground.

However, he still wanted to throw up.

Hence, after leaning against the car door, he gently pushed Ahn Yujae away since he didn’t want to throw up on him.

"Yah! What do you think you’re doing to my husband?!"

Huh?

As soon as that familiar, strong scent hit Sohee’s nose, he lifted his head...

... just in time to see Kim Heedo punch Ahn Yujae in the face.

"Heedo-ya!"
