Married For Now-Chapter 189: GOOD AND BAD NEWS
Chapter 189: GOOD AND BAD NEWS
TO BE honest, Sohee didn’t expect Kim Heedo to suddenly drop to his knees and beg him not to divorce him.
So, that made him both suspicious and hopeful.
"Kim Heedo, have you recovered your memories?"
"No, not yet, Hyung."
Oh.
But then, why?
Sohee knitted his eyebrows. "Then why are you begging me not to divorce you?"
"I’m not even sure because I still don’t have my memories, but I feel like I’m going to die if I lose you, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, and he sounded sincere. "Plus, you’re pregnant, Hyung. I don’t want the child to be born without his other father."
"So, you’re just trying to be responsible."
"Hyung, you know I don’t mean it that way..."
Admittedly, Sohee felt bad when he saw how confused and scared Kim Heedo looked at the moment.
However, he still wasn’t able to get over the resentment that he had for his husband.
I know this is cruel, but I have to bring it up.
"Why are you here, Kim Heedo?" Sohee asked coldly. "Lee Junsu is in prison. Have you visited him yet?"
Kim Heedo flinched, and then guilt crossed over his eyes. "Hyung, please listen to me. I didn’t save Lee Junsu because I still have feelings for him. That wasn’t the case. Even if my memories tell me that Lee Junsu is supposed to be the love of my life, I never felt that way ever since I woke up with amnesia. When I found out that I was already married while he was in a committed relationship, I didn’t question it. I wasn’t hurt. In fact, I moved on quite fast."
That was a relief.
I did notice that Kim Heedo wasn’t as obsessed as he was with Lee Junsu in the past after he lost his memories.
Even so, it still felt nice to hear that straight from his husband’s mouth. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
And, yet, Sohee had to force himself to remain indifferent.
After all, love wasn’t enough.
I need Heedo to give me a reason to forgive him.
And that was exactly why they were having that conversation.
"Hyung, please believe me," Kim Heedo pleaded. "I didn’t save Lee Junsu because I loved him— I only did that because I couldn’t let him die."
"Why couldn’t you let him die then?"
"Shaman Jung said that I have to risk my life in order to completely cut Lee Junsu’s claim on your luck, Hyung. My grandfather tried to kill Lee Junsu in the past because Grandfather wanted us to get married. That’s the reason why Lee Junsu got the right to steal your place."
To be honest, Sohee already knew that.
Shaman Jung already told me about that the day I informed him that I was thinking of divorcing Kim Heedo.
It turned out that the shaman was telling the truth then.
"To be honest, before all that fiasco, Lee Junsu asked me for compensation."
Sohee knitted his eyebrows. "You didn’t mention that to me."
"Yes, I didn’t," Kim Heedo said, and he had the nerve to look guilty after keeping something as important as that a secret from Sohee. "But Lee Junsu asked for my pheromones, Hyung."
Haaah.
Of course, Lee Junsu would do that.
Sohee pressed the bridge of his nose. "You should have told me when that happened."
"I’m sorry, Hyung."
"You did not agree to Lee Junsu’s ridiculous request, did you?"
"Of course, I didn’t, Hyung," Kim Heedo said firmly. "I’m not crazy to give my pheromones to an ex-lover, especially if I don’t know what they’re going to do with them. I know it’s hard to believe. But, even with my memory loss, I did my best to act like a proper, faithful husband."
To be fair, that wasn’t hard to believe.
I admit that Heedo was pretty much a jerk to me during the time that he was still in love with Lee Junsu. But he already changed when he fell in love with me. And I can tell that the part of him that loves me is stronger than the part of him that loved Lee Junsu.
Hence, Sohee could wholeheartedly believe that Kim Heedo didn’t cheat on him with Lee Junsu.
But that didn’t mean all of Kim Heedo’s actions were acceptable.
"Hyung, I only saved Lee Junsu because I wanted to cut him off completely from our lives— so that he won’t be able to threaten your place again," Kim Heedo said in a calm and pleading voice. "That’s what I was thinking when I saved him, Hyung. I swear I didn’t expect that I would get shot in the chest. I’m sorry for putting my life at risk for someone else."
Ah, so Kim Heedo knew.
At least, this brat is aware ofwhy I’m upset.
And after Kim Heedo brought that up, it was as if the lid of his bottled-up feelings had finally been lifted.
"You know I’m pregnant— you know that you have a family waiting for you," Sohee said in a cracked voice. Dammit, he didn’t mean to be emotional. But here he was, on the verge of crying again. "And yet you still risked your life. I know why you had to do it, but that doesn’t mean I should accept it easily. I almost lost you, Kim Heedo."
He then put his hands on his baby bump.
And, as soon as Sohee did that, his tears finally rolled down his cheeks.
"My babies almost lost their father."
Kim Heedo looked confused at first, and then he gasped as his eyes widened in shock. "Babies?"
"Yes, we’re having twins."
He didn’t want to break the good news that way, but it came out naturally.
Half of me wants to share the good news because Heedo deserves to know that he’s a father of twins, but half of me wants to make him feel even guiltier.
Sohee knew that it was cruel of him to do that to Kim Heedo.
Even so, he wanted to hurt his husband just that once.
Or so he thought.
"Twins... we’re having twins," Kim Heedo whispered to himself, smiling. But that smile instantly turned into a frown before he started sobbing. "You’re carrying two babies in your womb, and yet I almost left you. Had I died, Hyung would have had to raise two babies on your own..."
Right?
"I’m so sorry, Hyung," Kim Heedo said between sobs. "I really am..."
Aigoo.
Sohee was supposed to be mad at Kim Heedo, but it was his first time seeing his husband cry like a baby.
It hurt his heart to see the brat crying his heart out.
He felt the strong urge to comfort Kim Heedo, but he held back.
After all, Sohee suddenly felt pain in his upper belly— and then he felt like throwing up as he became nauseous.
I should seriously stop getting stressed out.

OF COURSE, Kim Heedo noticed Park Sohee’s baby bump right away.
But he knew better than to comment on his pregnant husband’s body.
Moreover...
Alphas and Omegas were taught at an early age that the size of a pregnant male and female Omega differed greatly. Male Omegas weren’t supposed to have a bulging baby bump until they were close to giving birth.
Hence, he thought Park Sohee had a prominent baby bump because he might be carrying an Alpha in his womb.
Alpha babies are proven to be bigger than average babies.
But twins?
God.
I want to kill myself for being so stupid.
But, of course, Heedo didn’t say that out loud.
All he could do was cry and apologize.
"I know my apology won’t change anything, but Hyung, I promise I will never put someone else again—"
"Urk!"
Heedo immediately lifted his head when he heard Park Sohee let out a barfing sound, and then he stood up and walked towards his husband in a hurry when he saw him almost throwing up.
Plus, he also noticed something strange and worrying.
"Hyung, your pheromones seem weak..."

SEONG KYUNGMIN was just about to take a short break when he got a call from a colleague.
To be precise, it was a call from his hoobae— Park Sohee’s OB-GYN.
"Yes?"
"Sunbae-nim, Park Sohee-ssi’s recent symptoms aren’t looking good."
To be honest, Seong Kyungmin wasn’t surprised.
After all, it’s rare for male Omegas to get pregnant, and even rarer for them to carry twins since it only doubles the risks of their pregnancy.
Even so...
"Why are you telling me that?" Seong Kyungmin asked, confused. "Talk to Park Sohee-ssi and his family, not to me."
"Sunbae-nim, I need your expertise— Park Sohee-ssi’s pheromone level is dropping at an alarming rate."
Oh, dear.
