"ARE YOU awake, Hyung?"

Sohee was pleasantly surprised when he opened his eyes and Kim Heedo’s handsome face greeted him.

I don’t mind waking up like this every day for the rest of my life.

"Hyung?"

"I’m awake," Sohee said, getting up with a slightly heavy body. When he turned to the window, he was a bit surprised to see that it was already evening. "Heedo-ya, is Mother-in-law not here yet?"

"Eomma dropped by last night, Hyung."

His brain buffered for a moment.

Last night?

Sohee looked at his husband with knitted eyebrows. "What do you mean by "last night," Heedo-ya?"

"You kept falling asleep since we got back home, Hyung," Kim Heedo explained worriedly. "Well, you would wake up to eat when you were hungry. After eating, you’d take a quick shower and change your clothes. Then you’d go back to sleep."

As expected, Kim Heedo suddenly looked concerned. "Sorry, Hyung. I should have fed you first."

"There’s nothing to apologize for, brat. Anyway, what’s for dinner?"

Very late dinner, to be precise.

"Hyung kept asking for chicken since yesterday, so I asked the househelper to cook samgyetang for you. Since you already had fried chicken for lunch, I thought you should have ginseng chicken soup to regain your energy, Hyung."

Yeah, that was a healthy dish.

Sohee smiled when Kim Heedo returned with GoldHee. "Give him to me."

Kim Heedo chuckled as if he found Sohee cute before handing GoldHee, the "piggy" bank, to him. "There you go."

"Thank you, Heedo-ya," Sohee said, hugging GoldHee in his arms. "Heedo-ya, from now on, I won’t eat chicken."

"Hmm?"

"I won’t eat any animal that lays eggs."

Of course, I know geese are different from chickens. But I can’t bring myself to eat chickens after having that dream.

"What else do you not feel like eating, Hyung?"

Sohee chuckled when Kim Heedo grabbed a pen and a memo pad from the drawer of the bedside table. "Ah, I don’t think I’m in the mood for fish either."

"How about other seafood?"

"I’m fine with crabs and lobsters," Sohee said, and then he started counting on his fingers. "I like pork and beef, too..." He paused for a moment, and then he blinked. "I think I’m craving mapo tofu."

Spicy food is okay even for pregnant people.

"Then I’ll get it for you, Hyung."

"I’m sorry. You asked the house helper to prepare a healthy chicken dish for me, and yet I won’t even have a bite."

"Hyung, it’s nothing to apologize for. I’m already prepared."

"Prepared for what?"

Kim Heedo’s face turned red as if he was suddenly shy. "Garam Hyung-nim that pregnant male Omegas’ diet changes all throughout their pregnancy. So, he told me to prepare for your cravings."

So, we’re both really thinking that I’m already pregnant.

"Heedo-ya, should we visit the hospital first thing in the morning?"

Kim Heedo’s face beamed, and then he nodded eagerly. "I’ll call Kyungnim Hyung and tell him not to accept other clients tomorrow."

"No need to go that far, Heedo-ya," Sohee said while shaking his head. "Just set up a normal appointment."

"ARE WE at the hospital yet?" Sohee asked while rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. He was already awake, but he still didn’t move from the spot. Laying down his head on Kim Heedo’s shoulder was comfortable, especially since his husband wrapped his arm around his body to keep him warm in the car. "I fell asleep again..."

"You can sleep more, Hyung," Kim Heedo said while rubbing his shoulders. "We still have at least fifteen minutes before we get there."

"I’m tired of sleeping. I feel like I’m becoming a lazy bum."

"It’s alright if you become a lazy bum, Hyung."

"I don’t want to be one," Sohee insisted. "At least let me use my brain."

"How?"

"Tell me what Mother-in-law told you."

"Hyung, I don’t want you to get stressed," Kim Heedo said carefully. "Especially not now."

"So, the situation is stressful."

"Nothing that I can’t handle."

"I want to help you, Heedo-ya."

"You’re already giving me strength by staying safe and healthy, Hyung. I couldn’t possibly ask for more from you."

Aigoo.

"Hyung, it’s my job to protect our family. I just want you and our baby to be safe and healthy," Kim Heedo said carefully, talking as if he was already sure that Sohee was pregnant. "But, if things get out of control and I end up needing help, I’ll come to Hyung first."

"Alright. That’s a good compromise," Sohee said, gently touching his stomach. Like Kim Heedo, he was already 99% sure that he was pregnant. "Let’s protect our little family together."

"CONGRATULATIONS, Park Sohee-ssi and Kim Heedo-ssi— you’re pregnant."

Wow.

To be honest, Sohee already expected that.

Even so, he was still surprised when Dr. Seong Kyungmin finally confirmed his pregnancy.

I’m really pregnant...

Sohee was happy and nervous, and he didn’t want to celebrate alone.

Hence, he turned to his husband.

"Why are you crying?" Sohee asked in a cracked voice while wiping Kim Heedo’s tears off his face with his hand. "We’re supposed to be celebrating."

"Hyung is crying, too," Kim Heedo said while wiping his tears off his face— copying him. "Hyung, thank you for giving me a child."

The baby was probably still a small "bean" in Sohee’s womb, but Kim Heedo was acting like he had already given birth to their child.

I wonder how he’ll react once I give birth.

"You should treat me better than you do now," Sohee said teasingly. He didn’t want to cry, so he joked around. Although he actually meant it. "Heedo-ya, let’s work hard to give our baby a happy family."

Kim Heedo then sobbed fully before gathering Sohee in his arms— very, very carefully.

"HYUNG, is it normal that Sohee Hyung is often asleep these days?"

"Male Omegas become physically weaker when they are pregnant, so please avoid strenuous activities in the meantime," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said in a serious voice. "Of course, you can still have sex. But I advise you to choose positions that won’t put too much strain on Park Sohee-ssi."

Sohee blushed.

"I see," Kim Heedo said while nodding. "Is there anything else I could do as a husband..."

"You should answer it, Heedo-ya," Sohee said, gently patting his husband’s shoulder. "I have questions for Dr. Seong anyway."

"Alright," Kim Heedo said, kissing Sohee on his forehead before excusing himself. "I’ll be back, Hyung."

Dr. Seong Kyungmin just nodded.

And when Kim Heedo stepped out of the room...

"Dr. Seong, what can I do to stop my drowsiness?" Sohee said worriedly. "I don’t want to sleep all the time since I intend to finish this semester."

"Sohee-ssi, I’ll be honest with you," Dr. Seong Kyungmin said in a serious voice. "A male Omega’s pregnancy is always sensitive, so please try not to put yourself in stressful situations."

AS SOON as Kim Heedo stepped out of Seong Kyungmin’s office, he answered his mother’s call. "Eomma, I’m at the hospital with Sohee Hyung—"

"I know, and I want you to go home now."

His mother’s voice was calm, but Heedo could sense the urgency in it.

"What’s going on, Eomma?"

"Sohee’s father is there, so you better hurry up and take your husband home."
