Chapter 1341: Efficiency

"We have to decide this as soon as possible and quickly," Regis declared. "Every second matters now. "As long as the enemies don’t know where we are, we can use this to our advantage, but we don’t know for how long this will be possible since we are within the confines of their territory."

"As someone who was forced to play their game for twenty years because a single one of them was too much to handle, I believe that we need to retreat and look for allies beyond the scope of their territory," Esmeralda said.

"The thing is... how many people are out there that can be our allies?" Sealyn asked after she crossed her arms. "They have been subjugated world after world for millions of years... it won’t surprise me if they extinguished thousands of societies and species. We might as well be trying to grab the clouds by doing that."

Despite the pressing need for a swift decision, the group was not unified in their perspectives at that moment. The tension of being confined within a pocket dimension seemed to increase existing frustrations and disagreements among them. It was a bothersome situation, particularly considering the urgency of their circumstances.

The divergent opinions within the group highlighted the complexity of their predicament. While some advocated for a strategic retreat to seek allies beyond the territory controlled by the machine gods, others expressed skepticism about the feasibility of finding significant support outside their current confines. Sealyn’s observation underscored the daunting challenge they faced, emphasizing the formidable dominance exerted by their adversaries over countless worlds and civilizations. Instead of looking for allies, decreasing the strength of the enemies might be indeed a better option.

Terra and Seara weren’t saying anything, and that was their way of saying to Rain that he has to solve that situation... sometimes, they are so unreasonable.

Before saying anything, Rain considered their options. Trying to do both things at the same time was also possible, but it wasn’t a good idea since their strength lies in their teamwork and union, when they show it at least...

"Our options are limited, but at least we have some," Rain said. "I would say that instead of walking around blindly and looking for allies in the endless universe, we should keep looking for the base of the enemies, and once we find clues, we will use psychometry to rule out the information that they have about their possible targets or prisoners, that way, we can do both things at the same time."

"... I suppose that is the best option," Esmeralda said while nodding. "Still, how can we find that kind of information without alerting the machine gods?"

"We can keep searching for information about them here in the junkyard. Sakaki is still mapping things with the king in the shadows, after all," Rain said.

"His name is Hardt," Sakaki said.

"Still, it will be faster if you all unlocked the Esper Path already," Rain said and then began to shrug. "You guys are such slowpokes."

Despite Rain’s attempt to lighten the mood with his teasing tone, his companions couldn’t help but feel a twinge of annoyance at his boastful remarks. However, despite that, Rain did make a valid point. While not all members of the group possessed the ability to contribute directly to the search effort, having a few more individuals skilled in the Esper Path would undeniably improve the process significantly.

By unlocking the Esper Path, more members would gain access to psychometric abilities, enhancing their capacity to gather crucial information and insights from their surroundings. This, in turn, would streamline their investigation, enabling them to uncover vital clues and navigate the enemy’s territory with greater efficiency. Although Rain’s approach may have been unconventional, his underlying message resonated with the group.

"Maybe I can make some relics with that kind of effect," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I can make them learn that by using the corruption system, but I will lose some levels of the skill. The relic will have to be pretty weak to make things more efficient."

In any case, Rain began to search for any signs of that guy on the destroyed vehicles, but it was taking a while to find anything that actually had any information in it. All of that had been tossed around many decades ago, so finding information that far away was difficult.

"As expected, this isn’t going to work," Sealyn said. "The pocket dimension is expanding, but it will take a long while before so many people can use it effectively."

"Well, it is called pocket dimension for a reason," Rain said. "My space magic skills are improving fast thanks to space magic mastery, but I guess Iori still can’t obtain that yet."

Rain entertained the idea of continuing to develop his Space Manipulator Path until he reached a level where he could effortlessly teleport to Earth from any location. However, he acknowledged the considerable time and effort such progress would require, even with his remarkable progress in mastering space magic. Despite his rapid growth, achieving the ability to traverse vast distances with ease would still be a distant goal. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

Moreover, Rain couldn’t ignore the possibility that the machine gods were monitoring Earth, anticipating their return. Teleporting directly to the planet might inadvertently expose them to heightened danger or even ambush by their adversaries. Therefore, while enhancing his space manipulation abilities remained a long-term objective, Rain recognized the need for caution and strategic planning in navigating their next steps.

"I guess I will have to make some relics for everyone to unlock this path. As long as ten or so people learn that skill, things should become better soon enough..." Rain thought. "It also improve other aspects like communication... we will probably to split work in the future, after all."

It was useful that they could use a technique that they learned from the enemy, but they couldn’t celebrate yet since the enemies stole all the knowledge and nutrients of countless civilizations.
