I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1172: Look at her eyes!
Chapter 1172: Look at her eyes!
"Will you look at that?" Primo squinted his eyes at the smoke ascending from their base. "I guess everyone’s still alive."
"Or barely made it out alive."
Primo looked at the front passenger seat in dismay. The two of them had been on the road together to get Hera’s money back. But alas, what they got was Tiger’s money without the man’s knowledge. Primo could only hope Tiger was just as oblivious to his money.
"Once we arrive, you go talk to Hera," said Primo lazily. "I want to sleep and take a freaking bath."
"Sure."
"Okay." Primo rocked his head, only to look at Moose suspiciously. "Sure? That’s it?"
"Mhm. Sure."
"You’re not going to tell me I do it myself?"
"Well, considering you are new in here, I can’t let my junior do all the work. This work is for the big boys." Moose shrugged, exuding an air of nonchalance. "I’ll go tell her how we failed so spectacularly and weigh our little pocket money with her."
Primo frowned. "Just so you know, I’ve been in a mental institution in the past. I know when a shrink is trying to get into my head. I’m not falling for this. Go do what big boys do. Good for you."
"You’re really making me go there and announce our failure all alone?"
"Yep."
"Not even a support?"
"Nope."
"But I thought we had a real connection during this entire mission!"
Primo and Moose bantered until they reached the base and even when they jumped out of the vehicle.
"Come on, man. Where’s the support?" Moose expressed as they walked through the open corridor at the back, which was a shortcut to Primo’s quarters. "We were in this together."
"For your information, you took me with you by force. It was my day off, but Hera is an evil tyrant who doesn’t accept the fact that she’s a tyrant. I’m not going there just to listen to how she mocks us when she should be the one dealing with Dominic —"
Primo stopped when Moose suddenly slapped his chest with the back of his hand, stopping him. Deep lines appeared between his brows, frowning at Moose. But Moose was just looking in a direction, making Primo follow his gaze.
There, not far away from their vantage point, was the torture house. Tiger, Deborah, some unfamiliar faces, and Hera were coming out of it together.
"Who the hell are those now?" Primo muttered curiously. "And what is wrong with Hera?"
"I don’t know." Moose shook his head, watching Hera skip her steps behind Tiger. "But if she didn’t kill anyone, I don’t know what could put her in such a good mood."
For some reason, the two of them were compelled to approach the group solely at the thought of getting filled in with the situation. They heard the base was attacked while everyone else was away. It wasn’t like that was enough for Primo and Moose to rush home. After all, Wolf and Ram were left to defend the base. There was nothing to worry about. Even so, they couldn’t just go on with their day without hearing a thing or two of what they should be aware of.
"Deborah, take those three to their rooms and plant some people around them," Tiger casually ordered while Deborah nodded.
"You’re putting us on a watch?" Ulysses, who wasn’t in the mood anymore, frowned deeply. "Is nearly getting assassinated not enough proof that I didn’t come here with malicious intent?"
Tiger just glanced at the young man. "The fact that you almost caused us gigantic trouble makes me think you’re into this as well."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Ulysses gasped. "It’s not like I want —"
"You and that secret society of yours are all part of a cult. What makes you think that I won’t consider you making a sacrifice for the better fucking bigger picture?" Tiger clicked his tongue in irritation, but he was more annoyed that Hera wasn’t in the state to deal with this situation. freēwēbnovel.com
This wasn’t the right time for her to be like this!
"Deborah, take those three. If they resist, make sure they’ll be in the chambers the next second. The chainsaw might start working by then."
"Alright." Deborah nodded in understanding, facing Ulysses and his bodyguards. "Follow me. It’s no use if you argue with him. He’s the second-in-command here."
Ulysses wasn’t pleased by how he was being treated, especially after he learned that someone wanted him dead. However, since Tiger had already spoken, he reluctantly followed Deborah. His bodyguards followed as well.
As Deborah ushered the young man away, she couldn’t help but speak. "He’s not asking to put people to monitor you. He said that because you needed more than two bodyguards to protect you."
"What?"
"I’m not saying they trust you, but if their enemies want you dead, then that’s enough reason for them to keep you alive... for now." Deborah offered a smile as she turned to Ulysses. "At the moment, they are your ally. How long? I don’t know. That is why I advise you to use this time to think of how you’d prolong your life under their wing instead. That’s much more productive than feeling antagonized by them when you know they could do worse before coming here."
Ulysses could only stare at Deborah quietly. The anger in his eyes subsided, looking back to where Hera and Tiger were left standing. A shallow breath slipped past his lips as he peeled his gaze from them.
"Thank you," he remarked. "You’re right."
"You’re welcome." Deborah offered the young man a subtle smile.

"Deborah, take those three. If they resist, make sure they’ll be in the chambers the next second. The chainsaw might start working by then."
Tiger watched Deborah take the three away. When they were in the distance, he faced Hera with a grim expression.
"Hera, snap out of it," he called, his voice low and commanding. "I don’t care how or why or what, but what I know is you better turn off that call."
But alas, Hera didn’t reply. She was just smiling at him as if she didn’t hear him.
"Hera—"
"Hey, hey!"
Suddenly Moose’s voice was heard, making Tiger look back to see Moose and Primo approaching. When the two stepped into Tiger and Hera’s vicinity, a uniformed confused look turned up on their faces.
"Uh... what is wrong with her?" Primo inquired, eyes on Hera. "Why is she in a good mood?"
Tiger answered. "It’s nothing."
"Nothing?" Moose repeated in disbelief, fixating his eyes on Hera. He motioned his hand in her direction and added, "This doesn’t look nothing to me, man. Look at her eyes! They’re in the shape of the heart!"
"Not just that, but she’s glowing in color pink." Primo nodded. "I can almost see some petals floating around her it makes me sneeze."
