I Shall Cuck Everyone-Chapter 417: Stoop so Low
Jake stood by the front gate, his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets as Alice stepped down the golf cart. The evening air was cool, the setting sun casting a burnt orange hue across the driveway. Her heels clicked against the floor as she approached him, that same easy smile playing on her lips. She paused in front of him.
"Well… thanks for today," she said, brushing her hair behind her ear.
Jake offered a small nod, not quite trusting himself to say anything without it sounding awkward. Alice stepped in and wrapped her arms around his torso in a tight, warm hug. He hesitated for only a moment before returning it, the scent of her perfume lingering even after she pulled away.
"See you soon, Jake. I will be waiting for your call," she said with a wink before sliding into her car.
He watched her drive off, the red taillights disappearing down the tree-lined street. The silence that followed was sharp and still. Jake took a breath, turned around, and stepped back into the house.
He had just made it past the hallway when he heard footsteps—multiple pairs—approaching fast. He slowed, raising an eyebrow as he turned the corner. His heart sank a little when he saw them; Misty, Anne, Hayes, and Jill. The women were scattered around the living room like an organized ambush. Misty, as always, took the lead, her arms crossed over her chest, her red eyes narrowed.
"We need to talk," she said flatly.
Jake blinked. "Can this wait? I was just—"
"No, it can't," she cut in, stepping closer until she was toe-to-toe with him. "That girl. The one who just left. Her name's Alice, right?"
Jake stiffened slightly. "Yeah."
Misty scoffed, letting out a humorless laugh. "You know how I know that? Because I've seen her face plastered across every adult site known to man." Her gaze sharpened like a blade. "You're seriously dating her? A pornstar?"
"She's not what you thi—"
Misty steamrolled over him. "I mean, really, Jake? That's the girl you've been jerking off to for months before you had sex with me for the first time. You think I don't hear you when you lock your door at night back then? I recognized her the moment she smiled at you like she owned your soul. I just never thought you'd lust over women enough to actually date her."
Jake's voice came low and firm. "Watch it."
"No, you watch it," Misty snapped. "You could have anyone. Any of us. And instead, you choose someone whose videos are free for the whole damn internet. That's your type now?"
Jake's eyes darkened, but he kept his voice steady. "You don't know her like I do. Alice isn't what you think."
"Oh, spare me—"
"I said you don't know her," he said more forcefully this time. "She's not just some fantasy on a screen. She's smart, honest… and yeah, she has a past, but she's not that person anymore. What we have is real, Misty. Don't reduce her to what she used to do."
For a moment, Misty faltered. Her jaw clenched as if she wanted to say more, but before she could retort, another voice cut in.
"Enough," Jill said, stepping between them with a hand raised. "Both of you. This is getting out of hand."
Jake and Misty fell silent. Jill turned to Misty first, her voice calm but firm. "You're out of line. He's allowed to date who he wants. We all had an agreement."
Misty didn't respond. Her glare lingered a moment longer before she scoffed and turned on her heel.
"Whatever. Do what you want," she muttered as she stormed off toward the back of the house.
Jake exhaled slowly, tension draining from his shoulders. Jill gave him a look—not judgmental, just tired.
"She's… protective," Jill offered, stepping closer. "You know—her condition too."
"I know," Jake muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. "But that doesn't give her the right to treat Alice like that."
"No, it doesn't," Jill agreed. "But give her time. You know Misty—she acts before she thinks."
Jake nodded slowly. "Thanks for stepping in."
Jill offered him a small smile. "Always."
She left quietly along with Hayes and Anne who scoffed at him as they were angry. The house fell quiet again. Jake lingered there for a moment, alone now with his thoughts. He ran a hand through his hair, letting out a long breath.
Eventually, he made his way back to his room, shutting the door behind him with a soft click. The light from his bedside lamp cast long shadows across the room, and the muffled sounds of the house seemed distant now.
Jake walked to his drawer and opened it, sifting through until his hand brushed against cold metal. He pulled out the intricately carved flute—the one the female werewolf had given him during that strange night on the rooftop. Its surface gleamed under the lamplight, the ancient runes etched along its side glowing faintly with a bluish hue.
He sat down on the edge of the bed and held it in his lap, running his fingers over the intricately carved runes.
"Time," he muttered to himself, his voice almost a whisper. "It's time."
Night had fallen, blanketing the sky in a deep indigo hue. The air was cool, calm, and carried the faint chirping of crickets from the woods beyond the estate. Jake sat in his room, lights dimmed, his curtains drawn aside as he stared at the moon hanging like a pale coin above the treetops.
He took a breath and reached for where he kept the flute.
Jake opened the window. A gentle breeze rolled in, carrying with it the earthy scent of damp grass and pine. Holding the flute to his lips, he closed his eyes and exhaled once through his nose. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Then he played.
A soft, haunting note rose from the flute, clear and resonant. His fingers moved with practiced ease, gliding over the holes like they' had known the instrument for years. A strange, soothing vibration filled the air around him. The aura began to rise—misty, blue, and shimmering—curling from the flute like breath in cold air.
