Stan explained to the spectators seated in the bleachers of the large arena.

"The moment a duel is agreed upon, three minutes will be alloted for bettings before the duels begin. Please this is just a sparring session, however you may defend yourself against an opponent that intends to kill you or fatally wound you , even if you have to take their life"

Everyone nodded in agreement. Just because these were friendly duels didn’t mean that if someone decided to cause serious harm to another person, the individual was just supposed to watch the opponent fatally wound them or take their life without retaliating .

Of course many agreed with the train of thought that no one would be foolish enough to cause issues during a friendly sparring session three national level Guardian awakeners were spectating .

Also ,the Hayes was a hegemon they didn’t dare to offend.

If they wanted to duel someone, it would be a friendly one with just a show of skill and power.

Quickly someone walked towards Arrie, a blonde tall lady with busty figure and a pretty face donning tanned skin she was not familiar with.

Rotchtower University was one of the famous Universities in the Federation , not entirely on par with Zanpala university, but entirely prestigeous in its own right.

This young lady had opted to hop along with Butler Simpson when he was coming to the banquet. She was Phila’s younger cousin, her aunt’s daughter.

She knew this cousin of her would never be up to any good, even when she was a child, she was always kicking up a fuss and getting away with it thanks to Phila’s aunt, Edna ’s mum.

However she had not been around when the girl was growing into a teengaer, only having come to know Edna was now a B ranked Awakener thanks to Butler Simpson. She was just concerned if Arrie could defeat her cousin and teach this little rascal a small lesson about humility. Despite seeing what Kailen had done to those who offended him, this girl still went ahead to try and kick a fuss with someone dear to Kailen?

Micheal went ahead to inform Kailen and Charles who they didn’t mind standing beside them about her about how Edna had been incessantly saying that the only reason why she had tagged along with Butler Simpson was to meet the famous dainty witch.

The young lady spared just a few glances to the group,not even greeting them, solely focusing entirely on Arrie Hall.

Arrie was not necessarily concerned about loosing the duel or anything or this lady causing some sort of harm to her in case she was weaker than the girl. No one in their right minds would cause trouble during a duel three national Guardian level awakeners were spectating ,alongside other influential people around .

What she was concerned about was the lady’s intentions for approaching her.

Someway somehow ,she felt the young lady throw a couple of barely noticeable subtle glances at Kailen. She was a young lady herself, and those looks, meant the girl was infatuated with Kailen.

Kailen took out his phone, sending a test message to Arrie

" For some reason, I can tell her intentions for approaching you are not that good"

Arrie took out her phone and replied the text message " I know. I think imma teach her a lesson to stay away from my man and also I’ll send a message to her that I’m an easy target"

Kailen nodded. Arrie was perceptive enough to catch on .

From the girl’s subtle gazes she cast towards him, he had figured out the lady was into him, deducing that since there were rumors circulating that the duo were a couple, she decided to take it upon herself to humiliate Arrie and impress Kailen through the duel, hoping to get into his good graces.

Of course the objective factor that pointed out Edna has bad intentions the moment she mentioned she admired Arrie was the Detective Gimmick skill .

Arrie agreed to the duel, walking off into the arena.

Although it was night, the lighting system was alright for everyone to see very well. Not forgetting that most of the spectators were awakeners ,able to see clearly as day even though it was nightime .

" Quite the immature one ain’t she. There’s a better way to hit on a man you want to steal from a woman than trying to humiliate his woman ain’t it?" Charles shook his head as he pointed towards Edna , standing at the opposite end of Arrie in the arena .

Kailen ,Phila and Micheal couldn’t help but nod.

" He’s quite perceptive. This Charles guy has no evil intentions for approaching me, and he was genuinely honest about why he wanted to be aquainted with me, although he seems extremely weird and eccentric.Im not gonna outright see him as a friend,but if the others are okay with having him around for the mean time ,I don’t have a problem with that " Kailen inwardly decided Charles had noticed the subtle glances Kailen had received from the lady, further following Kailen’s train of thought.

Also Charles seemed to be squeezing his way into Kailen’s circle of friends little by little . Kailen would not outright treat him like a friend. He would observe the guy more . However if the others didn’t have a problem having Charles around, he didn’t have a problem having Charles stick around.

Micheal gasped playfully " Oh, so that’s what this Edna is on about ?"

" You can be quite clueless at times husband" Phila sighed.

Micheal could be really clueless at times.

The couple’s behavior caused everyone to chuckle.
