Micheal, Arrie and little Feli looked at Angela and Arrie curiously.

" Arkon Xandros" The moment Phila spoke, all eyes drew towards her direction.

" I learnt about him during some family classes when I was young. According to what I read ,he was a popular researcher in the federation some time back. However , he murdered his wife and daughter , and was imprisoned for his crimes. No one however ,knew how he managed to escape from prison. No one has heard of him ever since then"

Angela nodded. This was also what she had learnt .

" News about him have been kept under the wraps for a while now. After all, there’s nothing good that will come out of remembering a researcher turned a murderer"

Arrie’s head bobbed slightly, a quiet affirmation.

She however continued , layering her thoughts unto the conversation " Only found out about this guy because mum told me about him. According to her , they used to research together and were quite good friends"

Directing her gaze towards Kailen, Arrie furthered "I think you have to hear the rest of the story from my mum"

" She will be at the banquet. How about we talk to her there?" Angela nodded in agreement.

Kailen smiled in agreement " Very well, I suppose that won’t be bad. From the memories of Phila’s brother and the other guy, this Arkon Xandros is the leader of the Terror Surge Syndicate "

" As I thought " Angela.

" Most definitely " Arrie.

Kailen furthered " He also seemed to mention Helena Hall as his nemesis "

Arrie added with a knowing smile" That part will make a lot of sense when you talk to mum"

Kailen nodded . He turned to Angela " I’ll send the lost of spies for the syndicate in the military to you via Whatsapp"

Angela nodded " Alright. Would you like to join me weed them out?"

" Anything connected to the syndicate naturally deserves my wrath "

" Dude that was so cringe " Arrie sighed ,shaking her head incredulously

" Didn’t tell you the Syndicate was behind the beast tide invasion in New York City did I?"

Arrie’s eyes widened in realisation.

She now understood what Kailen had said from a different perspective .

But still what Kailen said was still cringe.

Kailen chuckled, shaking his head humorously as he flipped his hands helplessly.

The women shot Kailen a murderous glance.

" I suppose that could be a way to explain why our 7 year old daughter almost always never acts like a child Phila . What if she were an adult in a child’s body?"

Phila sighed. For a second , what her husband had said almost made sense. This little girl was just too much!

" And so it turned out, that the innocent mind they tried so hard to protect, was already wallowing in the abyss of corruption" Kailen shook his head incredulously, feigning a sagelike expression,his hands clad behind his back.

Everyone turned towards Kailen, staring at him with weird expressions drawn on their faces.

" Alright alright. Cut me some slack. There’s one last thing I have to tell you all. The Terror Surge Syndicate has managed to somehow find a way to control diabolic beasts"

"Yeah, wanted to inquire more into that. I , alongside everyone here ,heard you ask the minion of yours earlier " Angela probed, causing the others to nod in agreement.

Everyone had expressions of shock evident on their faces, as they waited for Kailen to speak.

Just the revelation that the terror surge syndicate could control diabolic beasts and had caused the massacre of New York City was extremely terrifying .

If this news ever got out it would cause a massive plague of terror to flood the whole Federation, as they themselves had to admit they were somewhat terrified.

They truly wanted to know how the Terror Surge Syndicate could pull something like this off.

" The syndicate does not literally have the ability to control diabolic beasts . However they have managed to successfully create a device called a terror inducing device. This device can be used to generate energy sequences that can attract diabolic beasts to target locations or repel them from approaching target locations.

Of course, this does not mean that all beast tides are caused by the Syndicate.

After all ,the feud between diabolic beasts and humans have long existed even before the syndicate was formed .

Diabolic beasts themselves are naturally diabolic, seeing humans as nothing more than prey to be devoured. Therefore, with or without the Syndicate around, beast tides will naturally occur, as diabolic beasts naturally see humans as their prey to be hunted"

Micheal probed " So this means that the syndicate can only artificially cause beast tides with these terror inducing devices. However that does not necessarily mean that the diabolic beasts are innocent, under the control of the syndicate. Beast tides will naturally occur even without the Syndicate around"

Phila added " However the syndicate is using these Terror Inducing devices to further increase the already ridiculous amounts of beast tides occuring for their own selfish reasons"

" Exactly.

These guys are a bunch of crazy lunatics. I don’t care about what their goal is, however one thing I know is that thanks to the Terror Surge Syndicate and the diabolic beasts, my parents lost their lives and for that, they will pay the price" Kailen’s eyes turned cold, palpable anger evident in his voice.

Everyone agreed with his sentiment.

The Terror Surge syndicate was a truly villaneous organisation. The harm they have caused all around the world was nothing to scoff at. In fact, Arrie, and Micheal’s family, had been a victim of this evil organisation ,not to mention the diabolic beasts that had destroyed millions of human lives across the world. They had to be stopped.

" Time is running.Since you guys have agreed to join the banquet, let’s make preparations"

In a large conference room in an extremely large estate in the Urna continent, a group of elderly people had frustrated expressions on their faces.

" What are we gonna do, now that the secret about they being bedridden has been revealed by Butler Simpson?"

One person voiced ,causing the others to sigh deprecatingly.

"To think we wouldn’t know about the state the master and the madam is in. Phil really had us all fooled. It’s a good thing that bastard is dead"

Another person chimed in, anger palpable in her voice.

"Does that mean someone in the main line of the family who’s not their child will have to inherit the family fortune?"

The eyes of the elders in the large room suddenly scincillated with greed.

They were all from the main family line .

If this was the case, that meant that they each had a chance of inheiritng the family fortune.

" Not so fast" Butler Simpson stepped in, his suffocating aura spreading to every nook and cranny of the room.

The elders remembered how strong he was, behaving themselves.

However one of them, a woman who had lost her cool, suddenly snorted, clicking her to hue in anger " Tsk, if we all combine our strength, it’s obvious we will defeat this guy. Shameful, utterly shameful. Bunch of preposterous cowards! All of you!"

This woman had a striking resemblance to Phila’s father . She was the younger sister of the family head.

Before she had the chance to speak again, a loud slap landed on her cheeks, causing her figure to form an arc as she was hurtled with force towards a wall in the room.

Had she not been an S ranked awakener, she would have died from the attack. The woman coughed a mouthful of blood as she struggled to her feet,a chill running down her spine as she mused inwardly with malice " Why did this guy have to become the butler of my brother. Damn it! With him around, there’s no way I can rally supporters behind me"

The other elders all felt a chill run down their spine. Forget about banding together against this strong butler. They didn’t want to end up in this woman’s position .

Observing their docile dispositions , Butler Simpson bobbed his head slightly, then furthered " The reason why I disagree with you all attempting for the family heir position is simple. The daughter of he family is still alive and well. She has been invited to a banquet on the Rath continent this evening and I intend to go look for her and bring her back. Anyone who entertains any funny ideas!.."

Simpson’s fists crackled , a sound akin to stretching of bones reverberating in the environs .

He turned around and left the room, leaving the family elders ,utterly gobsmacked in their seats.
