In a dilapidated street sprawled with large amounts of corpses and individuals ,debris and destroyed vehicles and crashed buildings, a massive looking diabolic beast could be seen destroying skyscrapers and staring down at a couple of humans which stared at it with terror. The diabolic beast akin to a T Rex floated on the air, staring at the humans shaking in terror with disdain. The creature boasted mockery in its eyes as it stared at humans shaking in fear.

It used to be an unevolved creature at the lowest point of the food chain, however thanks to the evolution of the planet, it had evolved into an ascendant level creature.

The monster had caused mayhem to several places in this city, feeling on top of the world.

In the past,it could only hide in holes in the wilderness, basking disdainfully in a feeling of powerlessness. This was how life was when it’s mother, a powerful creature had been slaughtered mercilessly by one of these humans.

Today, it would take revenge on these diabolical humans.

Today things were different.

The humans stared at the talking monster in shock.

A woman hugged her small boy ,in an attempt to comfort him.

" Somebody please..."

Many of them prayed this same prayer as the monster’s throat started heating up.

The humans felt powerless.

" Is this how we die"

Just when the monster was about to shoot a beam of whatever destructive power was boiling up in its throat towards them, a pulse of light shot from somewhere in the air ,clashing with the skull of the diabolic beast.

The beast ,unnaturally yeilded ,the color in its eyes turning lifeless as it felt an unnatural force taking over its faculties.

A feminine figure appeared with a wand as her hands shook unnaturally.

She was scared shitless.

" What the hell is this monster "

The feminine figure was clad in some sort of battlesuit that allowed her to float unnaturally on the air.

Many of the individuals thought she was an awakener . However ,they couldn’t be more wrong.

Phila Ngonzola was no awakener.

This was her first time on a pure battlefield. And she was scared.

The pressure radiating from this beast was enough to make her pee on her self. However she remained firm.

She couldn’t be useless to the group anymore.

If Arkon Xandros, a non awakener could cause such massive harm to the federation, then she also, a non awakener would take advantage of the opportunity presented to everyone in the form of these wands the research bodies had just made to make a difference in the lives of people.

Phila had never been one to talk much.

She had never even shared this longing desire to be an awakener with even her husband,out of fear that she would make him feel more incompetent as a husband than he already did .

From her childhood, she always envisioned herself awakening one day and fighting to protect humanity.

From a young age, her father had always told her that in this world, it was withstrength that one could contribute to humanity’s survival. Her father told her that in a world thriving with deranged awakeners and diabolic beasts, being strong was the only way to secure those you love and sustain humanity’s survival.

She, did not want to be useless and powerless , unable to protect the ones she loved. She did not want to become a burden to humanity , a mundane person who couldn’t fight for humanity’s survival.

Inasmuch as her father had also told her that how he saw her and treated her would not change even if she never awakened, she didn’t want to even envision the thought of not becoming an awakener.

However when her twin brother awakened and she didn’t, she was happy for him, however the fact that she didn’t awaken ,crushed her.

But Phila was a strong person, so she moved on.

However she couldn’t help but feel helpless,anytime her husband returned home with injuries for being an awakener. ’ If only I was an awakener too, I could help him. I could ease his burden’

But she couldn’t ,she was a non awakener.

This feeling of helplessness further worsened when Kailen fought for her and her husband several times.She always felt useless.

This feeling worsened when she had to sit out of certain discussions concerning the fate of the world because there was not much she could do.

However , things turned out differently now.

The group had encouraged her to sit this one out,but she insisted she wanted to come out and help . She had joined them to defend the world, because she wanted to help people.

Phila was not like Kailen.

Kailen had stated clearly his motivations were not for some heroic reason, and she knew that. But

she was a selfless person. Yes Kailen could be selfless to his loved ones and she appreciated the young man who had become someone akin to a younger brother and a close friend for that.

She however , had always wanted to help people. That was just who she was.

Phila stared at the young lady and the child shaking on the ground, as an emotion of anger burned in her heart whiles she stared at the diabolic beast floating in the sky.

She heaved inwardly ,then spoke.

" Retract your aura and lower your head"

The beast ,completely under her control ,did as it had been told .

" It worked. I can’t believe it worked. Kailen and Helena have really revolutionalised the federation"

Phila’s figure whizzed towards the beast, her mundane speed having been boosted to several heights by the battlesuit.

She sat on the back of the beast, then commanded the beast to land.

The collosus landed a few walks away from the crowd it had just attempted to send to the afterlife.

Having rescued the group of people from the troes of death, she landed before the humans .

The group of humans ,staring at the scene in wonder ,heaved sighs of relief.

One of them asked.

" Excuse me ma"am. Are you an awakener ?"

Phila chuckled " No, I’m just like you all. A non awakener, however from now, everything will be alright" She handed over a rank 1 beginner stage ascendant level terror repelling devices to them as she spoke, then thought them how to use them.

"These beasts that used threathen our lives, have most likely become our pets. This is all possible because of Kailen Darkhaven"

With that, she sat at the back of her new " pet" and bolted away.

Similar scenes repeated itself at various places in the federation, as individuals were rescued and handed terror repelling devices and were thought how to use them.

Kailen’s friends had personally decided to mention his and Helena’s name as the one behind these devices.

They wanted to turn the guy into some sort of hero even though he said he wasn’t .

Frankly, they felt he deserved it.

So they let the words spread whenever they handed the devices over to people.

Kailen staring at the screen of what his friends were doing in shock,from the research facility , sighed .

" These guys will be the end of me. So this is why they argued I should sit this one out " He chuckled.

"Could have made some money off these devices too. But they are distributing them for free and making me out to be some hero. However the more people have access to these rank 1 beginner stage ascendant level terror repelling devices, the easier it will be for us. With these beasts under control , this planet will be relatively safe when I travel the universe. I have loved ones here after all. Some who will remain non awakened who cannot travel the universe. They have to be safe. But to think Micheal, Charles, Arrie and every awakened in my circle would have ascendant level talent after checking their talents with the talent checking devices I created.

Perhaps, travelling the universe one day won’t be a lonely endeavor. I however think when they are ready to travel the universe, we should go our separate ways for a while. My strength has been overshadowing their growth. That’s not a good thing. Inasmuch as I want to protect them, they should also be able to stand up for themselves on their own. I hope they’ve realized that"

Kailen turned towards a corner to stare coldy at a lady staring at him with tears in her eyes.

Zoey, Arkon’s former mistress and right hand woman, stared at Kailen with pain, a beaten and a battered body.

This has been her state for days.

Surprisingly, neither Kailen nor Jane or any other person was responsible for her current state.

It was Arrie.

This was due to something Zoey had whispered to Arrie that no one else knew.

And because of that, Arrie had snapped and reduced her to this state. No one had seen Arrie behave like that before.

Kailen sighed, then turned to look away.

He could have time to hear from her what she said to his woman to make her snap like that, when this was all over.

If not for that occurrence, she wouldn’t be still alive.

Suddenly, someone entered the room with an excited expression,breaking Kailen out of his thoughts.

The person was floating ,it was Reynolds, he had broken through to the rank 1 beginner stage ascendant level.

The planet had evolved to the ascendant level after all. With the help of the ascendant level energy orbs, and his Monstrous breakthrough speed. It was easy for him to break through.

The persons left were Donalds,Lee,Jane,Angela and Borngreat.

These guys were at the peak of the S rank, technically.

Global Level Guardian awakeners and national level guardian awakeners are all at the S rank. It’s just that they are freaks that are extremely monstrous in their own right. So let’s not be confused its stated that Donalds and Borngreat are also at the peak of the S rank.
