Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 1374: Storm on the Horizon
Chapter 1374: Storm on the Horizon
"Miss Amalia, you... handled everything?" Yeom Hwaryeon took a step forward.
Amalia turned around. "They seemed like small fry. I don’t think anyone else will dare come through anytime soon. Do you need to clean up the battlefield?"
Yeom Hwaryeon hesitated for a moment, then nodded. He immediately ordered the warriors who had followed him to start clearing up the spoils.
They had charged over brimming with the expectation of a fierce fight, only to find themselves tasked with battlefield cleanup instead.
Not long after, Yeom Hwaryeon brought the collected spoils over to Amalia.
"Miss Amalia, these are yours."
Amalia originally didn’t plan to take anything, but suddenly remembered there was something she was missing. "Give me some spirit stones, you can keep the rest."
Yeom Hwaryeon immediately handed over all the spirit stones they had scavenged from the corpses of the devils.
It was hard to say whether it was the devils who were unlucky, or Amalia who was fortunate.
All the devils had their storage pouches hanging from their waists, and since Amalia had only beheaded their upper bodies, the storage pouches were still intact.
"Miss Amalia, these devils might come back out at any time. I’m planning to leave a few people here to keep watch, just in case something happens again," Yeom Hwaryeon explained his intentions.
"Let me take a look first," Amalia said, and then summoned Riches.
"How should a crack like this be repaired?"
On Earth, the space cracks were repaired by Kenny Lin using the Reincarnation Pearl, but now Kenny Lin had fallen into slumber, and no one knew when he would awaken.
They had to find another way.
Wealth thought it was some huge, unsolvable problem and sighed, "It’s actually simple. Just use the power of the small world to repair it, and then correct the rule accordingly."
Amalia immediately paused her absorption of the Five Elemental Pearl and took it out. "So it can be used for that? What do you mean by correcting the rule?"
"Everything in the world has cause and effect," Riches said. "Mother, don’t you have the ability to see the lines of rules in the Mystic Void Continent? When you start repairing it, you’ll naturally understand how to adjust them."
Amalia turned at once to Yeom Hwaryeon. "Elder Yeom, I’m going to try to seal this devil passage. All you need to do is guard the area and make sure no one disturbs me."
Yeom Hwaryeon was utterly shocked. "Miss Amalia, you really can seal the devil passage?"
Amalia said, "I can’t promise a hundred percent success, but I have about sixty percent confidence. Even if it fails, there’s no real loss."
Yeom Hwaryeon thought about it and agreed, "Then please be careful, Miss Amalia. After all, devil passages are essentially spatial rifts. If the balance is disturbed, violent spatial turbulence could erupt and threaten your life."
"I will be careful."
Meanwhile, at the Devil Battlefield.
The news of Kishi’s clone being destroyed had already reached the Devil Emperor at the Imperial City of the Damnation.
Upon hearing that the disciple of Tian Wuya was still alive—while over the past two years, their forces had suffered heavy losses due to that very disciple—the Devil Emperor immediately dispatched an army of one thousand devils to the passageway.
In the gathering ground of tens of millions of devils—
The killing aura shot into the sky, layer upon layer, covering the vast royal city in a suffocating atmosphere.
In the Devil Emperor’s residence.
Asmodeus suddenly stood up. "That Tian Wuya’s disciple is alive? And appeared in the Northeastern Territory?"
Below him, a devil knelt down with his head lowered, not daring to look up at Asmodeus. "Reporting to Your Majesty, this was the message relayed by the subordinates Kishi had sent."
"I remember that the Northeastern Territory was under Kishi’s jurisdiction. Not only did he fail to secure the item, but even his clone was killed. In just two short years, that Tian Wuya’s disciple can already kill Kishi’s clone... such growth is indeed extraordinary." Asmodeus’s face darkened.
He wasn’t truly worried about Amalia.
Two years ago, she had already slaughtered many Body Integration Stage cultivators on Regnum Tellus.
Naturally, she would be even stronger now.
Although Kishi’s clone was formidable, it was mainly effective against ordinary geniuses. Against a top-tier genius, it was still lacking.
What annoyed Asmodeus was that since Kishi’s clone was dead, the treasure they sought had likely fallen into Amalia’s hands.
"The fragments of the Human Race’s Immortal Realm must be obtained," Asmodeus said coldly, his eyes gleaming with menace. "Abbadon."
A figure in black appeared out of thin air, kneeling on one knee.
"Abbadon, present."
"Go to the Northeastern Territory. Retrieve the treasure. If possible, kill the target as well." Asmodeus’s voice was icy.
If Amalia wasn’t eliminated now, he feared greater trouble would come later.
"Yes," Abbadon replied, and instantly disappeared on the spot.
In Miststone City.
A massive city of the human race.
It housed tens of millions of cultivators, standing in stark opposition to the Imperial City of Damnation.
The moment the devils of the Imperial City of Damnation mobilized, the news swiftly reached the ears of the powerhouses in Miststone City.
"Elder, the Imperial City of Damnation has suddenly dispatched an army of a thousand devils and currently heading toward the Northeastern Territory. Their movements are suspicious, as if they have some special objective. Should we send people to pursue them?"
Had Amalia been here, she might have recognized this elder — the Third Elder of the Green Lotus Sect, one of the Mahayana Stage experts stationed at Miststone City, and the master of Jinhwa Hou, Yin Xia.
"I recall the Northeastern Territory is where Ashwood Hollow City is located. What are those devils doing there all of a sudden?"
Yin Xia shook the wine jug in his hand as he spoke, drinking casually with an air of irresponsibility.
"These past two years, things have been relatively quiet over at Ashwood Hollow City, with no frequent outbreaks of warfare. But two years ago, that wasn’t the case."
