Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 1347: Into the Black Hole
Chapter 1347: Into the Black Hole
"But we might not be able to find our way back to the Mystic Void Continent."
"That may not be the case," Wealth said in an all-knowing tone, even shaking his head like a wise master. "A black hole this large suggests that the surrounding space is already unstable. The fact that such a massive black hole formed means the space near it is weak. If we went looking for another black hole—a smaller one—it would take much longer."
Amalia considered this. "My teacher once said he ended up here while fighting against the Devil Seed. It’s very possible that the boundary wall of the Mystic Void Continent is also nearby. Speaking of which, do you know what the Devil Seed is?"
Wealth shook his head. "No. There’s nothing about it in the inherited memories of the Beast God. Either the Beast God didn’t know about it, or it wasn’t included in the inheritance."
"Alright, let’s give it a try," Amalia said, staring at the abyss-like black hole, a rare sense of unease creeping into her heart.
This was a gamble, but it was their only option.
She stopped resisting the black hole’s pull, and in an instant, the flying boat shot forward like an arrow.
She swiftly channeled the power of the Sumeru World to reinforce the boat.
In the blink of an eye, the flying boat was swallowed by the black hole.
The moment they entered, Amalia could feel the Sumeru World trembling.
A tremendous force repeatedly slammed into its boundary, and she was profoundly grateful that she had spent so much time strengthening it while in the Andromeda Universe.
If the small world had still been in its early stages, it would have shattered instantly under such an impact.
Unlike the spatial rifts they had encountered before, this black hole’s destructive force was even greater than she had imagined.
She had no choice but to focus all her attention on piloting the flying boat, unable to even check on Kenny Lin’s condition.
After more than an hour, the flying boat finally made it through the black hole’s vortex, entering the spatial rift they had traversed before.
The raging astral winds howled through the rift, their intensity no less than the black hole’s tearing force.
Each gust that struck the Sumeru World’s boundary wall left a mark, and soon, the surface was riddled with dense scars.
Wealth tried to comfort her. "Only a world that has endured endless trials and tribulations can be considered a true world. Otherwise, it’s just a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. Without experiencing the vastness of the universe, it can never reach its full potential." freewёbnoνel.com
Amalia chuckled wryly. "Why do you sound so wise lately?"
Wealth proudly flicked his tail. "Of course! I am the Beast God, after all."
Amalia smirked. "If you keep acting so smug, when your Big Dad wakes up, he’ll definitely give you a good beating."
Wealth huffed and deliberately strutted over to Kenny Lin, waving his tail in front of his face. "He’s not awake right now! He can’t hit me! He can’t hit me!"
"I see someone is asking for trouble," a sinister voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
Wealth nearly jumped out of his fur.
He absolutely did not wet himself—but even if he did, he would never admit it.
The great Beast God could never be scared!
"What happened?" Amalia hadn’t heard the voice.
"Big Dad just spoke to me! His voice rang in my head! Mother, you didn’t hear it?" Wealth quickly scurried back to her side.
Amalia glanced at Kenny Lin. "Is he awake, or...?"
A weak voice drifted into her mind. "I just regained consciousness for a moment. The Yin-Yang Pearl has absorbed too much energy and needs to purify the useless parts, so I’ll be asleep for a little while longer."
"I told you not to overdo it, but you never listen," Amalia sighed in exasperation.
He had scolded her for pushing herself too hard before, and now he was doing the same thing.
"I had no choice. You’re already moving faster than me. If I don’t hurry to catch up, what will I do? And an opportunity like this only comes once—if I let it slip by, where else would I find such a perfect chance?"
"Fine, you have a point," Amalia admitted.
A collapsing star system like the Solvaris Star System was a one-time event.
They had just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
When they returned to the Mystic Void Continent, such an opportunity would no longer exist.
Kenny Lin didn’t chat for long before exhaustion took him over, and he fell back into a deep sleep.
After Wealth made sure that he wouldn’t wake up suddenly this time, he swaggering out from behind Amalia.
He boldly walked up to Kenny Lin who is falling into deep sleep and waving his paws around in front of him.
"Are you itching for a beating?"
Amalia’s voice suddenly rang out, making Wealth jump in fright.
"Mother, you nearly scared me to death! I thought Big Dad woke up again!"
"That’s what you get for having a guilty conscience. Enough messing around—I need to rest for a while. Keep channeling spiritual energy into the flying boat." Amalia finished speaking and stood up.
"So troublesome, so troublesome! Why aren’t there any spirit stones left?" Wealth sluggishly moved to take Amalia’s place. "If we had spirit stones, I wouldn’t have to sit here all day."
"They’re all used up. Otherwise, I’d prefer that too." There was once a time when spirit stones were so abundant that they couldn’t be used up, but now they had become scarce.
Amalia couldn’t help but reminisce.
Wealth sighed. "I must be the unluckiest Beast God in existence—without a doubt."
Amalia chuckled. "Quit complaining, Beast God. Get to work now."
"Mother, why don’t you bring out Little Goldie, Little Lucky, Little Cashie, and Little Nugget? They can help us too."
Leaving a whole group of underlings unused?
