Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 1323: The Missing Essence
Chapter 1323: The Missing Essence
Some of the humans who hadn’t entered the small world stood freely by the windows, watching as the mining planets grew more and more distant.
Tears welled in their eyes.
For the first time, it felt real.
The terrifying days of mining, full of fear and exhaustion, were finally behind them.
No more sleepless nights, dreading the moment they’d be captured or killed by aliens.
No more grueling days, waking before dawn to be driven to the mines, their bodies subjected to the radiation of the ores, exhaustion gnawing at their very souls.
No more collapsing from fatigue, only to be whipped and beaten by alien overseers, left to die from severe injuries.
"You’re really not going to absorb it? Once we leave, you might not get another chance," Amalia asked.
Standing aboard the battleship, she turned to Kenny Lin, assuming he would absorb all the energy from the mining planets into the Yin-Yang Pearl.
Yet, to her surprise, he had suggested leaving without doing so.
"No need. The Solvaris Star System is vast—there will be other opportunities," Kenny Lin said cryptically.
He wasn’t about to tell Amalia that he had found an even faster way to grow stronger.
This shortcut was just a preliminary idea.
Whether it would work depended on the execution.
Amalia saw that Kenny Lin had his own plans and didn’t press further.
She was about to enter the small world with him to ask Wealth about the white essence when Khalil arrived with a few men.
"Ms. Amalia, this is Prince Castamar of the Draconis Empire. He and the others have come to thank you in person."
"Prince Castamar?" Amalia’s gaze fell on a frail-looking man with sunken cheeks.
He appeared to be in his sixties or seventies, with a deeply aged face, yet his eyes were still bright.
"Prince Castamar is a relative of the king. A year ago, he was taken during an alien raid, and we lost all contact with him. We thought he had been killed, but it turns out he was sent here to the Solvaris Star System," Khalil explained.
Prince Castamar immediately grasped Amalia’s hands, his expression filled with gratitude. "Ms. Amalia, we can never thank you enough for your kindness. We are truly indebted to you."
"It was mere coincidence. No need to be overly concerned," Amalia replied politely.
"No, no! Khalil has told me all about what you’ve done. Without you, we would have spent our entire lives trapped in that hell, dying in misery."
Amalia waited for him to finish his sincere thanks before saying, "Prince Castamar, I did this not only for my beliefs but also because I was once a human from the Erythar Star System."
Prince Castamar had already heard this from Khalil.
He was so grateful that he seemed ready to devote himself to Amalia completely.
"Ms. Amalia, you are truly an immortal, an angel sent from the heavens to save us..."
Amalia let him talk for a while, but seeing that he was still showering her with praise, she decided to stop responding.
As she prepared to leave, Prince Castamar suddenly said, "Ms. Amalia, although you destroyed the alien’s savage beast army stationed on the mining planets, if you’re heading to Planet Neo-Shengis, you should still be careful."
"Oh? What do you mean?" Amalia sensed that there was more to his words.
"I once caught a glimpse of the aliens’ savage beast army on the mining planets, and there were far more than just a few hundred thousand. Over a month ago, the aliens suddenly withdrew several million of them. After that, I don’t know where they went."
"Could they have been sent to another star system?" Amalia asked.
He shook his head. "It’s hard to say. Without evidence, anything is possible."
"I understand. Thank you for the warning, Prince Castamar. We’ll be careful."
After asking Khalil to escort Prince Castamar away, Amalia took Kenny Lin into the small world.
"That Prince Castamar just now really made you sound like an angel. He’s got good taste," Kenny Lin said with a grin.
"No wonder you stayed silent the whole time," Amalia said, giving him a look.
She had thought he had changed, but clearly, he was still the same troublemaker.
Kenny Lin neither confirmed nor denied it—he simply smiled without saying a word.
Neither of them took the savage beast army too seriously.
As soon as they entered the small world, Kenny Lin noticed a surge of vibrant energy spreading throughout.
The source was the area where the hundred of human settlement lived.
This energy was continuously nourishing the small world, accelerating the growth of both plants and animals.
Wealth was dozing off, while his underlings were training atop a leveled mountain peak.
Because they were born in the small world, their cultivation progressed faster than usual.
Each time the small world evolved, the Pixiu evolved along with it.
Their bodies were becoming more solid, and their cultivation levels were rising rapidly.
In just a few months, the first-born Pixiu had already reached the Foundation Building stage.
But even so, Wealth still forced them to train relentlessly.
They weren’t allowed to slack off, not even for a moment.
Javier and his sister were also training on the mountain, completely unaware of Amalia and Kenny Lin’s arrival.
"How is white essence born?" Wealth asked, looking confused.
"You don’t know?" Amalia was surprised.
She had assumed that since Wealth had inherited the legacy of the Beast God, he would have some answers.
"There’s no specific information about it in my memory. I only know that white essence should be something similar to purple essence."
"You mean they’re the same thing?"
"No, but they appear with the same level of difficulty."
Kenny Lin raised an eyebrow. "And how is that any different from saying nothing at all?"
Wealth glanced at his ’big dad’ and said matter-of-factly, "Of course, there’s a difference. My sentence is much longer, while ’nothing’ is just one words."
Kenny Lin pretended to roll up his sleeves. "You’re asking for a beating."
