Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 1292 - 697: The 2nd Ability Leap_2
Chapter 1292: Chapter 697: The 2nd Ability Leap_2
At first, they were still nervous, but they quickly discovered that as long as they were in the Dragon Oak Dream Realm, they would not suffer any harm. On the contrary, each upgrade of the Dragon Oak Dream Realm brought them completely new experiences and encounters, something the highly active-hearted Fae Race had always yearned for.
Especially when reality and the Dragon Oak Dream Realm began to overlap, merge, and finally become indistinguishable, their love for life here reached its zenith.
They even played with the constructions on the Dragon Oak Mother Tree in creative ways. Half of these constructions existed in reality, while the other half resided in the Dragon Oak Dream Realm. The doors, bridging the real and the dreamscape, seemed to make houses appear only half-complete to those without the ability to perceive the Ether.
Dong!
The heart of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree pulsed once again, and Gaven and Lord Virginia were once again sent outward.
But this time, it was no longer a simple sightseeing trip. Instead, it was accompanied by a cacophony of sounds—cracking, tearing, shifting, destruction, and rebirth.
For areas with minor changes, energy pipelines could simply be shifted to accommodate.
For areas with major changes, rather than shifting, it was better to recycle the old and create something entirely new.
And some parts were simply destroyed outright.
Though the changes to the Dragon Oak Mother Tree were visibly happening, its enormous size made completing its remolding a task that required significant time. During this process, Gaven and Lord Virginia were bound to participate in the cycle.
The two of them were, of course, not idle—intensely exchanging bodily fluids and emotions while also sharing the insights they had gained during this period.
Compared to Gaven’s complex and ever-changing scenarios, Lord Virginia’s situation seemed relatively monotonous. Most of what Gaven had speculated was accurate.
The Divine Root of the Primordial Temple of Moando, God of Corruption and Decay, was already a relic of the past. Not only had the Corruption Divinity and Corruption Power been entirely absorbed by the Dragon Oak Mother Tree, but even the decayed materials that constituted it had turned into nutrients for the Mother Tree. The fleshy segments of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s energy pipelines were purified corruption flesh absorbed from it.
"Between life and death, there lies a barrier of corruption and decay. If possible, we should search the Material Plane for the harm this Evil God left behind. The Mother Tree can now not only absorb corruption and decay energies but also heal those areas, allowing them to flourish with vitality once more," Lord Virginia suggested.
"For all living beings of nature, this would indeed be monumental news. I’ll keep an eye on it," Gaven said, his perspective now elevated. "Since corruption and decay are so useful, then we should figure out a way to seize the Decay Divine Position.
The Divine Position itself isn’t inherently evil—it belongs to a neutral category. Its entanglement with Moando’s Fallen Divine Position is what made it so troublesome, dragging normal life into the depths of the corrupted Abyssal decay.
But without corruption or decay, the world would be piled with endless corpses, unable to rejuvenate itself."
The more Gaven spoke, the more convinced he became of the correctness of his logic. The Decay Divine Position, when extended further, aligned perfectly with the development of the Material Plane—after all, it was essentially natural fertilizer. It could be used not only to enrich soil for agriculture but also as a product to trade and sell.
Fertilizer, as it turns out, is an essential component of modern agriculture. Without its nourishment, the fertility of a plot of land would thin out in a few years, making it difficult to boost crop yields.
As for synthetic fertilizers—well, apart from the difficulty of creating such "technological wonders," you’d first have to ask whether the Natural Deities would permit it. On the other hand, biologically composted organic fertilizers, even if not beloved by them, would at least not face outright opposition.
It comes down to this: in Felen, many ventures are not about whether they can be done, but whether they are allowed. Will doing them antagonize powerful enemies beyond one’s reckoning?
Among all adversaries, the ones Gaven least wanted to provoke were the Natural Deities—because provoking them brought no benefits and could leave one mired in endless trouble.
For the same endeavor, if an alternative path existed that wouldn’t anger these gods, it should always be prioritized. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"If the Mother Tree can seize the Decay Divine Position, that would naturally be the best outcome. This would synergize with her essence, allowing her to consolidate power more easily. But no one knows for sure whether Moando, God of Corruption and Decay, has truly fallen—or how such a seizure could even be achieved," Lord Virginia noted.
Lord Virginia wasn’t particularly surprised, as the Dragon Oak Mother Tree was already a terrifying entity rivaling the incarnations of True Gods. Assimilating a Divine Position related to decay and corruption wouldn’t be a problem for her.
"Purifying the decay and corruption wrought by Moando and accumulating the corrupted decay’s essence is, in itself, the process of claiming the Decay Divine Position. However, this method is slow, requiring consistent effort over a prolonged period. I do have a swifter method, though. Among Moando’s servants, while some pledged loyalty willingly, others succumbed under duress.
If the Dragon Oak Mother Tree could develop the power to lift the curses binding these beings, she could convert them into her followers. She would retain the elements of decay and corruption while shedding their fallen nature. Thus, as Moando weakens, the Mother Tree would ascend as the new God of Decay, and Moando’s ultimate demise would be assured," Gaven explained.
Gaven felt his expertise in God Slaying skyrocketing to new heights.
One day, he might even become a professional God Slayer in Felen, flipping the script such that instead of Evil Gods seeking to provoke him, he would be the one hunting them down.
"I will experiment in this regard," Virginia confirmed, once again asking, "Once Harmony is achieved, the Dragon Oak Mother Tree will undergo a deeper integration with both you and me. At that point, the essence of our souls will be irrevocably bound to hers. Are you prepared for this? If so, I will begin now."
