Extra's Path To Demon King-Chapter 129: Runic Weapon Shop
Chapter 129: Runic Weapon Shop
Vyra explained, looking at him like he was an idiot, "Since most of the time, Prince Lucien hangs out with the Valkyrie, most of the girls are afraid to even look at him in a romantic intent, afraid that Miss Sophia would make their lives hell. So, for that reason, most girls are actually on the go for Axel."
Axel winced slightly and thought, ’Is that the reason why so many girls have been leaving love letters and offering various suggestive relationships, or just straight one-night stands. Axel was tempted many times, but did not go for it, obviously. Those things could entirely be a trap for what he knew. Glancing at Lumina, he tactfully chose to remain quiet about it.
She already seemed to be quite furious when Vyra revealed that most of the girls in the academy actually liked him; it seems she didn’t know about that.
To divert the conversation, Axel said with a sigh, "Alright, I’ll make you guys some personal weapons later on, tailored for yourselves only. Maybe by the end of this week."
Their moods immediately brightened like sunlight upon hearing that.
Lumina had cast a silencing spell around them, so that their private talks wouldn’t escape to other people, since any one of those conversations could lead to big rumors, something that none of them would want.
Soon, the small structure was set up, and Axel forwarded 50 swords in 5 different containers. Since he had decided that he would tell everyone that he was aiming to master 16 different pseudo runes in total, from the 1st to the 2nd phase of ascension. And considering he had advanced to mid state recently, which would indicate to people that he had mastered 1/3 of it, meaning 5 different pseudo runes mastered.
When he revealed to his Rune class professor, Alfred, that he would be mastering 16 total pseudo runes, Alfred showed a mixture of surprise and excitement. But most of his small number of fellow runecasters were baffled at how is was that even possible to be able to master double the amount. Which was true from their own perspective. Since most of them were indeed struggling quite a bit just to hit the minimum quota.
The only runecasters except from him who were aiming to master more than the initial amount were Taser Vex and Lumina, Taser aimed to master 12, even thought Axel was a bit doubtful if the boy could indeed accomplish that much, because he had seen firsthand how incredibly difficult it is for a normal runecaster to progress even a bit, memorize and master each of the pseudo runes.
Lumina aimed to master 10 pseudo runes instead of 8; from Axel’s perspective, it would be a bit difficult for her, but nothing unattainable. Now that the shop was set up and the weapons were displayed, he threw two girls away from the shop at the excuse that they would keep disturbing him, and the other students wouldn’t want to approach them, thinking they were having a private conversation, seeing the obvious privacy ward, of course.
As soon as the two girls went away, he nudged Heinz, who put a large sign on a whiteboard in front of the makeshift shop, the sign said in bold and capital letters, "High Quality Rune Engraved Weapons For Sale."
The moment this was put on, many students rushed towards the shop like a hungry mob. he internally frowned, seeing that, and gave another glance towards Heinz, his friend nodded and went forward, he put his hand forward, signaling everyone to stop. On that signal, everyone stopped. But they all had a frown on their face, while Axel himself remained seated behind the table.
While the crowd of 30 students stopped, one of them came forward, who was apparently the youngest prince of the Blackvale kingdom. The one and only Thorian Blackvale, the future strongest being from the Blackvale kingdom after its apparent political downfall. Axel chuckled to himself, things were going even better than what he expected. he couldn’t steal the opportunities of the 4th prince, since you need to have a dragon bloodline to get it or use it, but nothing is stopping him from getting his future connections, he snickered in amusement.
The prince from the Blackvale great kingdom was a person of the highest status within everyone there, so he stepped forward, and no one objected, which was understandable. But it wasn’t a simple case of Prince Thorian showing off his status; he wasn’t your typical arrogant young master, no, far from it. He was a cunning and shrewd person who portrayed himself as somewhat arrogant and prideful, normally, that is.
He shows his true self when it is necessary. He gazed forward with a casual smile, walking one step ahead of everyone, while everyone there had their eyes on the weapons or Axel. Instead, Prince Thorian was gazing at Heinz; everyone apparently knew that Axel and Heinz were very good friends, dismissing Heinz as unimportant in front of Axel himself here would no doubt make a bad impression on his mind, and this prince perfectly understood that thought process of his. Axel chuckled, seeing that, pleased internally.
"Hello, Seeker Heinz, I hope you have been well?" greeted Prince Thorian amiably with no trace of arrogance or pride. He also knew how Heinz hated all those who openly flaunted their status and were nothing themselves without their family background. Though it was very much formal, seeing no arrogance in it, Heinz also seemed pleased, Axel thought to himself, ’Would you look at that, this guy’s IQ is off the charts when it comes to making connections.’ frёewebηovel.cѳm
Heinz returned the greeting cordially, "Thank you, Seeker Thorian, I am well."
Thorian nodded unbothered by his short reply. He asked, "I presume you stopped us because you want to show everyone the weapons in a more organized manner."
"I guess the way we all were rushing forward was a bit inappropriate," isn’t that right, Runecaster Axel?
Axel smiled and did not say anything, This guy is definitely a gold mine that needs to be taken ownership of, he noted mentally. Thorian exclaimed towards Axel, "But you must forgive us, because the allure of having a personal runic weapon, made by someone of your caliber, is a bit too tempting even for me, since the academy doesn’t sell runic weapons."
"Isn’t that right, Seeker Heinz?" he tactfully threw the last part of his sentence towards Heinz, forcing him to agree on that note and creating a positive rapport between the two very naturally.
