Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 217: Spirit Kickoff Day
Chapter 217: Chapter 217: Spirit Kickoff Day
"Eh? No!" Theodore said firmly.
Though his sister had jinxed Director Shawn, it doesn’t mean that she had a hand in releasing those videos.
Director Shawn’s eyes narrowed when he saw the sincerity in Theodore’s eyes. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"You know, Theodore, out of all the videos that were released, only yours was the one that wasn’t released. Don’t you think it is strange?"
Theodore blinked before replying in a confident voice,
"That is because I am lucky."
"What?" Director Shawn was stumped for a second. When he had first seen Theodore at the shooting location, he was attracted by Theodore’s looks.
He had even given an offer to Theodore to become his sugar baby, but either Theodore was too dumb or too sharp, because he kept changing the topic.
Though Director Shawn wanted to force Theodore, and maybe with his power in the entertainment industry, he might have succeeded too, his brother Beau had stopped him.
At that same time, by some sheer coincidence, one of his dirty deeds was exposed, and his brother had asked him to lay low.
By the time everything was settled, he had come to know how Theodore had offended someone powerful, so he could only let him go.
Now seeing Theodore again, Director Shawn’s member twitched. He was too much of a beauty to be let go.
However, Theodore’s answer had stumped him,
"You say, you were lucky and hence your video wasn’t uploaded?"
"Or maybe I am too handsome?" Theodore said cautiously, causing Director Shawn to feel speechless.
’Him? Going against me? Impossible! He is just too dumb and narcissistic!’
"Alright. You can go." Director Shawn waved his hand. Though he wanted to lay his hand on Theodore, he knew now wasn’t the right time to do so.
’Maybe some day, when his spirit is completely broken and he leaves the entertainment industry, then can I toy with him?’ He thought.
Theodore nodded and left the room.
The room he left the room, a thoughtful expression appeared on his face.
To survive in the entertainment industry, of course, one needs to act dumb.
However, the question was... who was capable enough to make Director Shawn retreat into his shell?
And why did he or she not release the video of Theodore getting molested?
’Does someone want me to be a scapegoat?’ He thought.
Just as he was lost in thought, someone tapped on his shoulder, and he turned around only to find Jonnah looking at him with a smile on his face.
"What are you thinking? I was calling you for such a long time."
Theodore blinked, pulled out of his thoughts.
"Oh. Sorry, Jonnah. I was just... thinking."
Jonnah raised an eyebrow, still smiling. "I can tell. You looked like you were solving a murder case."
Theodore gave a weak laugh. "Something like that."
They started walking down the hallway together, their footsteps echoing on the floor.
"So," Jonnah asked, glancing sideways, "how did it go?"
Theodore shrugged. "He asked the same thing he asked you. Why wasn’t my video leaked?"
"And what did you say?"
"I told him I was lucky."
Jonnah chuckled. "Classic. I should have used the excuse, too."
Theodore smiled for a second, then grew quiet again.
"But Jonnah... don’t you think it’s strange? That only three of us weren’t exposed?"
Jonnah’s smile faded a little. "Yeah. I’ve been thinking about that too."
"What if someone wants us to take the blame?" Theodore whispered, his eyes serious now. "Or worse... what if we’re being watched?"
Jonnah didn’t answer right away. He looked around to make sure no one was listening.
"Listen," he said, voice low. "I’ve got someone watching my back. And I think they’re watching yours too."
Theodore frowned. "What do you mean?"
"I can’t say much. Not here. Just know this—whatever’s happening, you’re not alone."
Theodore stared at him, confused but curious.
"Anyways. Here is my number, and save it. Let’s meet in 5 days." Jonnah flashed a smile.
He was finished with the task given by Miss Dawn. Once he presents the evidence to Miss Dawn, she is going to back them.
Once her as their backer, no one can harm them. Even Director Shawn will have to shut his mouth!

Meanwhile.
Aurora looked at Mia with a troubled gaze and asked,
"Is it necessary?"
She couldn’t understand how her friend suddenly became interested in participating in Homecoming events.
And what is this Spirit Kickoff Day anyway?
Mia rolled her eyes, arms crossed over her chest. "Yes, it is necessary."
Aurora sighed and sat down on the edge of her bed. "But you hate crowded places."
"I know," Mia said, flopping beside her. "But this year is different. We’re seniors. It’s our last Homecoming."
Aurora narrowed her eyes. "So? I haven’t attended this homecoming event before anyway!"
"Aurora, this is your only chance to claim your rights on Spencer! Diana is the cheerleader, and she is also the one who always ends up as the Homecoming Queen every year! Do you know what that means?"
"What?" Aurora asked with a bored expression, but the moment she heard about Diana, she was on alert.
Though Spencer was her canary, and wasn’t her lover, she felt unease remembering how Diana loves Spencer.
Mia noticed the change in Aurora’s face and smirked. "Exactly. You do care."
Aurora crossed her arms. "I don’t care care. I just... don’t trust Diana. She’s fake. And clingy."
"And super competitive," Mia added. "That’s why we have to go. You need to show people that Spencer’s yours."
Aurora frowned. "He’s not mine."
"Girl, please," Mia said, rolling her eyes. "You bought him an apartment.
Aurora rolled her eyes and almost wanted to scold Spencer. That idiot by mistake had let this detail slip, and Mia was teasing her regarding this topic since then.
"And he follows you around like a lost puppy. If that’s not yours, I don’t know what is." Mia continued seeing that Aurora was getting affected by her words.
Aurora stayed quiet, thinking. She did like having Spencer around. He was sweet, good-looking, and made her laugh.
But more than that, she hated how Diana always smiled too much around him, like she was already planning their wedding or something.
"So, what’s the plan?" Aurora asked finally.
Mia grinned.
"Glad you asked. Step one—new outfit. Not too flashy, but something that says, ’Back off, Diana.’ Step two—make sure Spencer sticks close to you during the games. Step three—beat Diana at anything she tries to win."
Aurora blinked. "You mean, compete? Like... actually play those silly games?"
"Yes," Mia said firmly.
"You don’t have to win everything. Just win enough to make it clear you’re not just a pretty face."
Aurora groaned. "This sounds like a lot of work."
"It is," Mia agreed. "But it’s also fun. And besides, we can’t let a glitter-obsessed drama queen take the spotlight again."
Aurora sighed but nodded. "Fine. I’ll do it."
Mia clapped her hands, clearly excited. "That’s the spirit!"
Aurora gave her a look. "Don’t push it."
"I’m not! I’m just happy you’re finally getting involved. Trust me, you’ll thank me later."
Aurora stood up and stretched. "Alright, alright. Let’s go find that outfit you were talking about."
"Now?" Mia asked, grabbing her bag.
"Yes. If I’m going to compete with Diana, I need to look ten times better than her. And I’m not trusting you to pick something on your own."
Mia laughed. "Fair enough. But we’re going for cool and classy, not ’trying too hard.’"
"Obviously." Aurora rolled her eyes. "I’m not Diana."
They headed out together, walking through the school parking lot toward Mia’s car.
As they buckled in, Mia glanced over. "So... just curious. What would you do if Diana actually made a move on Spencer?"
Aurora didn’t answer right away. She stared out the window for a second, watching a group of cheerleaders practice on the field.
Finally, she replied, "If she touches him, I’ll make sure she regrets it."
Mia whistled. "Remind me not to get on your bad side."
"You’re safe. For now," Aurora said with a small smirk.
Just then, her phone made a ’ding’ sound.
When she checked her phone, a smile spread on her face.

Meanwhile, across campus...
Spencer sat on the bleachers, sipping a sports drink and watching the cheer practice.
He wasn’t paying attention to the cheers, though his eyes kept drifting toward the main school building.
He was wondering why Aurora hadn’t met him since morning.
Because of the football practice match, he had to skip the lectures, causing him to have no time to meet with Aurora.
However...
He looked at the chat between him and Aurora.
Spencer: Can you come to the football field? Your canary is the captain. Don’t you want to see him flex his biceps?
No response.
What was she doing? Was she flirting with someone else? Did she find some other canary?
If yes, then what should he do? Should be aggressive? But won’t he scare her away?
However, if he stayed silent or gentle, she would think that it was fine to cheat on him?
"Hey Spencer!"
