Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 169: Arrest
Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Arrest
"Miss Aurora, you are under arrest."
Aurora attended her school, and Mia waved at her.
"Aurora, come here, I have researched and written some parts, can you check them for me?"
Since there was a lot of time left for the first lecture, Aurora nodded.
After checking, Aurora pointed out all the mistakes and was communicating when suddenly, people rushed into the classroom.
Looking around, they saw Aurora and rushed to her bench.
"Are you Aurora?"
Aurora saw a woman with a well-maintained face and dressed in a classy, floral red dress. She had an angry expression on her face.
"Who are you?" Aurora didn’t answer and asked a question instead.
The woman laughed in anger,
"It doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is whether you are Aurora or not!"
"I am." Aurora said and continued, "Now tell me what do you want..."
Before she could say anything else, the woman lifted her hand to slap Aurora.
Aurora was stunned a bit and reacted, but she was still a step too late; the hand neared her cheeks.
She closed her eyes instinctively, waiting for the stinging pain on her cheeks...but nothing came.
Instead, she heard Spencer’s cold voice,
"Auntie, you are too rude. You can’t go around slapping people."
The whole classroom went super quiet.
Everyone looked at Spencer. He was holding the woman’s wrist tightly, stopping her hand just before it could hit Aurora.
The woman looked shocked. "Let go of me, Spencer! She hurt my daughter!"
Spencer didn’t even blink. "I don’t care who you are. You don’t get to hit people in school."
Aurora slowly opened her eyes and saw Spencer standing in front of her, protecting her. Her heart beat fast, but she didn’t say anything.
Mia stepped forward, confused. "Wait... what’s going on?"
The woman pulled her hand back and pointed at Aurora.
"You’re all acting innocent? You hired someone to scare my daughter, Mandy! For 2 hours, you tortured her!"
People in the classroom gasped. Some students even whispered to each other.
Aurora stayed calm. "I don’t even know what you’re talking about."
The woman’s face turned red.
"Don’t lie! My daughter is crying in pain! Just because you have a sugar daddy, you think you can get away with everything? B*tch! If I don’t show you why flowers are red today, I will resign from my post as a trustee!"
One of them stepped forward. "Miss Aurora, you are under arrest. Please come with us for questioning."
Aurora raised an eyebrow and asked,
"Do you have an arrest warrant? Proof?"
The police officer blinked, surprised by Aurora’s question. He looked at the angry woman, who was still shouting, then turned back to Aurora.
"We don’t have a warrant yet, but we got a complaint," he said. "You need to come with us for questioning."
Aurora crossed her arms. "If you don’t have a warrant, I don’t have to go. That’s the law."
The officer looked nervous now. "It’s just questioning—"
Spencer stepped forward, blocking Aurora a little.
"She’s not going anywhere without a lawyer. You can’t just arrest someone because a rich lady is yelling."
The woman in red pointed her finger, shaking with anger.
"You! You’re protecting her? After what she did to Mandy? You’re going to regret this!"
Spencer’s face stayed calm. "You should calm down, ma’am. You’re embarrassing yourself."
Some students in the back started giggling. One whispered, "She’s acting like she’s in a drama."
The officer tried again. "Look, we just need her to come with us and clear things up. If she’s innocent, she’ll be back soon."
Aurora picked up her schoolbag slowly. "Fine. I’ll come. But I’m not scared of you. I have nothing to hide."
She turned to Mia and gave her a small smile. "Hold my notes, okay? I’ll be back."
Mia looked worried but nodded quickly. "Okay..."
Spencer leaned close and whispered to Aurora, "Don’t talk too much. I’ll call my lawyer."
Aurora nodded and walked out of the classroom with the police. The woman in red followed behind, huffing and puffing like she had won a battle.
But inside, Aurora’s eyes were cold. She already knew this wasn’t over.
She had indeed asked Caroline to do everything, but that was done through hacking.
How did they track her?
Did they know she had hacked into Caroline’s phone and blackmailed her with the photos?
No...If that was true, then Caroline would have come too!
Not to mention, Mandy would hate Caroline more.
Aurora thought for a long while.
On the way, Mandy’s mother glared at Aurora viciously and said,
"Just you wait! Once you open your mouth, I will expose all of your crimes and make sure you are behind bars for the next 40 years!"
Aurora suddenly had an idea and pretended to be scared,
"Ma’am, I truly don’t understand what you mean. Did something happen to Mandy?"
"Ha! Now you want to pretend like an innocent person? Let me tell you, your accomplice has already told everything. How my daughter has offended someone she shouldn’t have!" The woman in red shouted.
Aurora’s eyes turned dark.
Oh...so they don’t have any substantial proof, just testimony.
Maybe Caroline planned to make Aurora the scapegoat. Maybe she already knew Aurora was the hacker, or maybe she just wanted a scapegoat.
Either way...it was relief for her, since they can’t prove her involvement at all.
They walked into the police station. The place was cold, and the lights were too bright. The woman in red—Mandy’s mom—kept glaring at her like she wanted to eat her alive.
A policeman pointed to a small room. "You can wait here. Someone will come to talk to you soon."
Aurora nodded politely and sat down. The moment the door closed, she let out a small sigh. She took out her phone and quickly typed a message under the table.
To Spencer: Tell your lawyer to hurry. Also... check if Caroline talked to Mandy’s mom recently.
Then she sat still again, like a good girl waiting for help.
