Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Number
With that, Spencer told his number.
Aurora stared at him with a baffled expression. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Spencer rolled his eyes and asked,
"Why aren’t you noting down the number?"
Suppressing her speechlessness, Aurora reminded him,
"Mister Spencer, I don’t have my phone with me."
"Oh, right." Spencer tapped on his forehead and picked up the bag lying on the table. Like a magic trick, he took out the phone from Aurora’s bag and explained,
"You dropped it in panic. After dropping you to infirmary, I went back to fetch the phone."
A hint of gratitude appeared in Aurora’s eyes. She didn’t know who Spencer was, but she felt he was a good guy.
Maybe he was an airheaded person always ranking last, or maybe he was a young master of a rich family.
Aurora didn’t know, and honestly, she didn’t want to know.
Her life was filled with many dangers, and she needed to focus on them rather than daydreaming about handsome guys.
Thinking about Mandy and Caroline, Aurora’s eyes turned cold. They dared to mess with her, so they should be ready for the consequences.
She was so lost in thought that she missed the look in Spencer’s eyes.
Doting. Longing. And...obsessive.
Yet he hid it.
He then snapped his finger at her and said,
"Don’t think too much for now. Rest a bit. I have already informed Ms. Baker about the incident. She will look into the matter and make sure you receive justice."
Aurora blinked, snapping out of her thoughts. "Ms. Baker? Who is she? Why would she care?"
Spencer shrugged like it was no big deal.
"She’s not just a math teacher. She’s part of the school’s discipline committee. If she says she’ll look into it, she will."
Aurora raised an eyebrow.
"Uh-huh. And why would you go out of your way to tell her? You don’t even know me."
Spencer crossed his arms and smirked.
"I have a beauty-saving complex."
Aurora smirked,
"Whatever."
She then tried to stand up, but due to her legs still feeling wobbly, she stumbled a little. Spencer reached out to steady her, his grip firm but gentle.
"Careful, klutz," he said with a grin. "You’re not gonna win any battles if you can’t even stand up straight."
Aurora shot him a glare. However, Spencer’s magnified face stunned Aurora.
’Man...his eyelashes...are so long!’ She thought.
On a closer look Aurora realized that Spencer’s face was spotless, without any pores. His chiseled jaw and sharp nose made him look like one of those models you see on magazine covers.
And those eyes... they were bright and sharp, with this weird mix of playful and serious.
Like he was hiding a bunch of secrets or something.
"Sexy, aren’t I?" Spencer asked, as his hand traveled from forearms to her neck and slowly to her face.
His other hand gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
His touch was light, but it made Aurora’s whole body freeze. Her brain short-circuited for a second.
"Wanna kiss?" He asked as he slowly neared her lips.
Aurora couldn’t move at all.
How could she in the face of such a beauty?
Spencer...wasn’t just handsome; he was a Greek god. His masculine smell, the way he inched near her, and the way his eyes looked right into hers—it was all way too much.
Aurora felt like her heart was gonna explode.
And she chanted in her mind,
’What a beauty...what a beauty!’
She dared not covet, but she couldn’t resist either.
What a dilemma.
In the end, Aurora wasn’t the one who made the decision, it was the sound of clearing thraot from the entrance.
Startled, she pushed Spencer, who was only 2 meters away, and looked in that direction, only to find the nurse throwing a meaningful look in her direction.
"It’s not what it looks like..." Aurora tried to say, but Spencer interrupted her and draped his hand on her shoulder,
"Come on girlfriend, it’s completely normal for people to kiss each other. We are dating."
Aurora’s eyes went wide, her mouth opening and closing like a fish. "W-What?! We’re not dating!"
The nurse raised an eyebrow, looking more amused than surprised. "Uh-huh. Sure, sweetie. Just don’t do anything too wild in the infirmary, alright?"
Aurora felt her face burst into flames. "No! You’ve got it all wrong! He’s just—"
But before she could finish, Spencer pulled her closer, squeezing her shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Aw, babe, no need to be shy. She’s just embarrassed because our relationship’s still new, you know?"
Aurora shot him a glare so fierce it could melt steel. "Stop lying! We’re not a couple!"
Spencer just laughed, his eyes twinkling with pure mischief.
"You’re so adorable when you’re mad."
Aurora was fuming. This guy had some serious nerve.
"You... you liar! I don’t even know you that well!"
"Doesn’t matter," Spencer said with a shrug. "We can get to know each other better now. Isn’t that what couples do?"
"WE’RE NOT A COUPLE!" Aurora practically yelled, her voice echoing down the hall.
The nurse chuckled and shook her head.
"Alright, lovebirds, I’ll leave you two alone. Just remember—keep things PG, alright?" With that, she left the room, her laughter fading down the hallway.
Aurora glared at Spencer, who was still grinning like an idiot.
"What is wrong with you?! Why would you say something so ridiculous?!"
Spencer looked completely unbothered.
"Come on, I did it for your own good."
Aurora pushed him and muttered,
"Stupid. Do you think just because of your handsomeness I will fall for you? Dream on."
"Ouch, harsh." Spencer clutched his chest like he was wounded, but his smirk never left his face.
"Good for you." Aurora dropped the words and turned to leave, but Spencer snatched her phone.
"Hey! Give my phone back!" Aurora snapped, trying to snatch it from his hand.
Spencer held it above his head, grinning like a total jerk.
"Not so fast, shorty. You didn’t even save my number."
